Some tips to tip the scale your way when it comes to making sure you are going to be happy where you decide to work. These are some questions that I always ask. (at New York, New York)
Asking questions really does clear up allot. Iāve found that I learn something new from asking the same questions to different people. The different answers I get begin to create a pattern. The call with this recruiter reminded me to not get swept up by someone elseās pace. By staying true to my own beat, I make better decisions for myself. (at New York, New York)
There are a few different ways to stand out from the pack, and my resume has been one of the tools Iāve used. I hope the full clip of this video will help, they are proven tricks Iāve picked up. ššin da BiO (at New York, New York)
On average I receive about 10-15 emails a day about open positions in my field. SQL has been my flagship skill that most of these emails ask for. As great as your skills may be, they are not being maximized if you not showcasing them in the best way possible. I share my resume in this session and talk a little about it because I believe my resume is instrumental in me receiving this volume of calls. There are a few tricks Iāve picked up along the way to market myself better, here are some of them. Share your tips if youāve got some. (at New York, New York)
Bloomberg is a pretty big company especially here in NY. This position has some good aspects to it, like a long contract period. I try to look at as many aspects of s potential job as possible to make a good decision about it. Iāve found that looking at it this way allows for each aspect to be negotiated a little more toward your benefit. If you have some ideas about how to this, Iād love to hear it. (at New York, New York)
So I might be interviewing for this position this Wednesday. I had an interesting call with a recruiter Iāve felt with in the past. Itās for a position with a financial company here in NYC. I negotiated for a remote working arrangement and will see what comes out of this ask. Never be afraid to ask for what you deserve!! šš¾ (at New York, New York)
Between job descriptions that can be the length of an essay (way way too long) and the language barrier that you can encounter, it can be a serious challenge assessing if a position a good fit. My 2 cents is that the initial call with the recruiter is imperative, during that call keep centered on whatās important to you and pick out the main aspects of a position that give you a better picture. Itās up to you to drown out the extra noise that comes with an opportunity and zero in on the aspects of the job that truly determine if itās a great fit.
Before going out there and showcasing your skills, calls like this remind me how important it is to know your worth, the value of your skills, the market you are selling them in and the going fair rate. For the full š check š in BiO (at New York, New York)
This call reminded me of the importance of moving to your own beat. Some recruiters give you the sense that a speedy decision is critical to you getting a position. If thatās the case then youāre better off letting that position go. The first stop is always YOU. Being cool headed and approaching decisions about your career at a comfortable pace is the only speed you should be concerned with. You are the asset, take your time and make a decision you will be happy with. (at New York, New York)
Your career is where you will invest most of your time. Itās imperative to do all that you can to make sure itās a good fit for YOU! Take your time, ask the right questions and know your worth!! (at New York, New York)
Should I work for Google, Again? I think itās important to understand the current in demand skills one of the top technology firms ask for. BUT make sure itās something YOU will be happy with! This was a good conversation with the recruiter looking to fill this open position with Google. ššš šš¾ in BiO (at New York, New York)
#DBA I didnāt return the recruiters call about this one so no live call Butt I do have the VM she sent to me. If you have some helpful knowledge to share about this, share it up! Full video ššš¾in BiOoo (at New York, New York)
My 2 cents is your skill, talent and experience are never to be devalued. Performing a job remotely does not mean you should be paid less. In fact you are working that much more productively and you should be paid fairly for that! (at New York, New York)
