Hiya, I adore your work in Long Gone Days! What inspired your pixel art character designs? They’re incredible!! They look so dynamic and modern yet have a very retro feel to them, very impressive

Wow, thank you so much! As I tried developing Long Gone Days a couple of times during my teenage years, I tried different approaches that were initially mostly inspired by the default RPG Maker sprites.

Regarding the size, I always thought taller sprites would look better for a game like this, so I looked for the biggest size I could work with that didn’t imply too much extra work. And as far as the style goes, I was never much of a pixel artist until now, so I chose a simpler style to make things a bit easier for myself, using pretty much the same technique I used for my drawings.
