What went down in gym earlier today. Here are some of my basic leg-day workouts that you can do, too💪💪. A behind-neck military press is easiest to perform with a weighted barbell. But in the video, I'm using the smith machine to give me a better support. Bend your arms and lift the barbell over your head. The grip of this exercise is wider, with your hands placed approximately 5 to 6 inches to the side of your shoulder for better stability and support. When lifting, tilt your body slightly forward so that your arms have a more limited range of motion. As you can see, I don't go all the way is because this exercise places additional strain on the rotator cuff muscles of the shoulder joint. My advice is to start with low weights and determine your range of motion where you feel comfortable when performing this exercise.
