For those of you who have answered the recent re-opening of the "How long did it take her to smile?" website, we have organized a Google Forms formulary to log all attempts that have been made so far.
We welcome you to take a moment of your time to submit your attempt in this form. The more answers we have logged, the closer we can get to the correct answer, if there is one.
Hello. This is a form to help consolidate all of the answers that have already been submitted to:
https://deltarune.com/chapter4/thankyou/
s
Please refrain from submitting attempt suggestions or memes. Only the first attempt that you have already submitted to the reopened website.
(If your submission included no unit of time, leave the corresponding question in the form blank.)
Two years ago, we had brought alive the "Immortal Hydrangea", an educated guess as to what the future held.
And now, we stand at the edge of truth, ready to find out what Chapter 3 truly holds for us.
In honor of the post-Chapter 2 era of fan-content, we will very soon showcase a third, final version of NOT FORGOTTEN, which will appear in the fangame.
It has been a long journey, and it won't end just yet. Pantheon of the Discarded will remain in development, and we will still share what we have with you whenever we can.
Thank YOU for listening to "NOT FORGOTTEN", and giving the Blossoms what they so much longed: LOVE.
we are now RECRUITING with a brand-new Recruitment Form!
Please read below for more info and access to the forms.
We're looking to greatly boost our team size to handle the scope of the project, so we say it's the best time for applying - even if you've already applied in a previous form.
The form will remain open for an indefinite amount of time, during which we'll view and review applications and recruit new team members periodically.
Check below which team roles we are looking to fill and their respective forms. If you believe you fit more than one role, apply to them all!
Disclaimers:
Pantheon of the Discarded is a non-profit passion project. There is no remuneration involved in the development of this fangame.
The Wandering Makers will not tolerate bigotry, leaking, or any form of disreputable behavior or public unethical activity for team members within the development environment. In order to uphold this, we may perform background checks on applicants' social media presence.
The Wandering Makers reserve the right to utilize your submitted works exclusively for private evaluation, and will not use them in current or future projects nor disclose them to public view. Exceptions will be thoroughly discussed with respective authors, if applied.
CONCEPT DESIGN
Visual art to explore and solidify designs, fundament spritework, and improve upon ideas. We especially welcome 3D models and/or promotional artwork for our accounts, but it's not a requirement.
SPRITEWORK
Static or animated pixel sprites for characters, backgrounds & environments, tilesets, UI, VFX, or what more. We also value 3D models, as well as the ability to reproduce other pixel art styles (namely DELTARUNE's).
WRITING
Lore and narrative details - entails writing and revising scripts and ideas with directors as well as proposing some of your own. We appreciate an understanding of Toby's writing, but WM also values different angles into writing a story.
COMPOSING & MIXING
Assembly of the game's soundtrack and SFX, either mixing songs and/or sounds, or actively helping with them. We value both reproducing Toby's style of composition and blending your own style into the mix.
PROGRAMMING
Construction of the game's code with implementation of scripts, sprites, and songs, as well as assembling cutscenes, attacks, and gameplay features. Pantheon of the Discarded is developed in the Kristal engine with the Lua programming language. We want to install a strong coding foundation for the game, and are open to any and all direct help.
We've been working on something that tells you everything we've been up to these last months.
Presenting: the official Q1 2025 Pantheon of the Discarded Newsletter: Newsletter of the Discarded, for everybody to read!
Tune in (it's not live) for news about both DELTARUNE · WM and Pantheon of the Discarded, as well as several secret surprises and some visual details that we put in that we think you'll find pretty cool!
We'll also post new ways to be recruited into the Wandering Makers very soon, so stay tuned!
We are now ready to announce the GRAND OPENING of the OFFICIAL WANDERING MAKERS DISCORD SERVER.
Please read below for more info.
It will be a server geared for sharing smaller posts to the community, who can in turn talk with the development team.
While not specifically geared for general discussion, the server still has ample space for it.
Check out the Deltarune・WM Official community on Discord - hang out with 27 other members and enjoy free voice and text chat.
We will also be closing off the recruitment form, and use the new server as a means to send out new, more specific forms that can better answer to the game's development.
If you'd like to contribute to the WM team, join the server and stay tuned for updates!
Additionally...
We are considering expanding our methods of communication to more platforms as Twitter grows increasingly more unreliable for us.
Once again, we urge all readers to visit our other existing accounts on Tumblr, SoundCloud, and Youtube.
Thank you for accompanying us so far, and enjoy your stay in our server!
In the depths of the Ice Palace, beneath the ground, there is a trick you can do. It requires luck, skill, and a healthy fear of the unknown.
You'll find yourself staring at a deep darkness, an endless abyss just beyond a doorframe. But sometimes... the Abyss stares back.
A truly colossal being of ungraspable size. Just beyond the usual darkner, far darker, and much further from reality. And it wants to exist, by whatever means possible.
Fraktur is our shadowboss for WM's Chapter 5, in the snow fortress. They are special among shadowbosses by virtue of being a Goner, a native resident to the Abyss.
The battle will partly take place on top of them. The player will hop across flying bones with the Blue SOUL mode.
Insofar, we don't have a lot prepared for Fraktur (as opposed to the Blossoms or Lillian), but you will still see them as a future battle in Pantheon of the Discarded. Please pay witness to the concept art we have to show.
Some previous names we thought for Fraktur:
Silverdrake
Titandrake
Bonedrake
Gonerdrake
(We were really adamant on the Drake part, or at least until we came up with Fraktur)
This marks the end of what we have to show for Fraktur, and thus the end of our shadowboss showcases. Thank you for reading and accompanying thus far! We hope you will like confronting these characters in our fangame Pantheon of the Discarded.
And... Stay tuned for some big news very shortly...
This is Lillian, a cute porcelain Darkner who disappeared from the sky city many years past.
Not many people know what happened to her.
Sometimes, though, you might see her around.
But it's not Lillian anymore.
There's something... SOMEONE else. Behind her voice. Her actions. Her will.
She won't recognize you, either. There's only one thing she talks about: shattering herself into pieces.
Rumors spread stigmatically. "If she breaks, it will set free a demon within her."
In a distant past, a group of Lightners concocted a dark ritual to transform someone into a monster.
Leave behind all that is human of you and store it away for no one to find.
Wretched hands sprout from beneath the cracks in the walls.
The battle takes place in an abandoned train station. (We've been working on the same battle background for over a year.)
As it is our Chapter 4 shadowboss, you will play in the Purple SOUL mode.
(A few idle animations)
Lillian and the demon within are an expansion of @/soaresskl93's amazing design from years ago for a Church World shadowboss! We owe this character entirely to them.
And that's all! Lillian is a character you may encounter in the full release of Pantheon of the Discarded. And while you'll find a different track than the original one we posted, please check out OnlyAnAlex's remix.
Stay tuned for a final showcase of our most unspoken shadowboss yet.
The Blossoms can be found at the end of the Garbage Grounds, an underground network that runs beneath all of Startropolis.
It's a nifty place that even Mike calls home! (He doesn't like it very much.)
The Blossoms are very warm and polite to any and everybody, looking to find someone to love them.
Could you believe the look on their many faces when Kris appeared?
... You know how well that went, anyway.
But they weren't always like this! In fact, it was long after Mike took to the sewers that he began hearing wistful melodies echoing across the tunnels.
He could hear melodies faraway, almost every day, like a routine.
Usually there was only one voice, but sometimes, there were many melodies playing at once, clashing against one another.
Sometimes he couldn't hear any singing.
Sometimes, he could hear screams.
One day, the Blossoms were held by a dark embrace and were told the truth of their eternal heartbreak.
Their hatred formed a colossal body from the garbage and plant matter.
They concocted a plan, and held onto it since, for the one chance they would get to enact it.
Now, the Blossoms aren't completely rational.
They come from far away, for the sole objective of finding a way to be loved and appreciated.
When they couldn't find it, it all came crashing down.
And that's that!
The Immortal Hydrangea was by far our most consistent character yet, although there were many doubts as to how risky it would really be to make them part of a prediction.
They look a lot like Flowey, right?
The difference in the petals was their latest change.
To sprite the Immortal Hydrangea in the battle, @beruki learned Blender all by themselves and created an entire model — two, in fact! That background comes from a 3D animation as well — so that we could use it as reference to paint over with pixels.
We were once really set on redesigning them sometime after their reveal, but...
In the end, we didn't find anything we could revamp on them. So for their appearance in Pantheon of the Discarded, they'll stay mostly like you've seen them already.
They've come so far...
And that's pretty much it! We wanted to delve deeper into our one shadowboss that predated the Pantheon. As for our 2 others from the prediction, we think the game'll do a way better job at doing so :)
(Despite that, stay tuned for a HUGE concept art showcase of the two later!)
In case you haven't heard, the trailer for our entirely new fangame project "Pantheon of the Discarded" has been released in YouTube after UnderEvent 2023 took place.
In case you HAVE heard about it, perhaps you could watch it once again..?
