Iki Town - Micah vs Keye [w/Keye]

Micah narrowed his eyebrows at the kid comment, but otherwise let it pass. Besides, the guy seemed less intent on nipping at him than just having a battle, which was something Micah could get behind.
“Micah, though I suppose you knew that already,” he said, looking at Keye’s hand for a moment before deciding to take and shake it.
He took his place at the far end of the platform and took Rocket off his shoulder, directing him off to the side, where he perched to watch. Micah took his Pichu’s ball off his belt and readied himself for the order to go. It felt suddenly like ages, as he stared at the man across the platform, his ball in hand. There felt like a lot more pressure this time, he’d battled a couple Trainers on Route 1, but a lot of them had been kids, and just a casual fight. This was a real Trainer, and there were people watching. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, finishing just as he heard the word.
“Begin!”
“Go Pichu!” Micah called out, tossing his first Pokemon onto the field, waiting to see what Pokemon his opponent would be using before issuing a command.
You know, it occured to Keye. A lot of his pokemon actually had a disadvantage against electric types. Maybe he should work on that? Either way, he wasn’t about to send Spriggs in to mow this kid over. “A’ight, how ‘bout…” “Tank! C’mon out!” He threw out his shiny Octillery. While not a key battler of his, it was less likely to get one shot by an electric move. “Open up the fight with an aurora beam!” Tanks mouth charged with an icey energy, before launching the brilliant beam at Pichu.
Inside his own head, Micah scoffed. Was this guy dumb? An Octillery against an electric-type. Okay, sure, it was evolved and Pichu wasn’t, and it had a weird colouring, but did he really have nothing better? Was he some kind of Water-type specialist?
“Whatever,” he muttered under his breath before directing his Pokemon. “Pichu, get around it and use Thundershock!”
The small Pokemon made an attempt to scramble out of the way, but the beam still clipped her. She stumbled a little, managed to keep from entirely wiping out, and followed up with sparks of electric energy from her cheeks. With a cry, the Pichu let out her Thundershock, hoping it would hit.
