An unknown wildflower at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, near Stone City Kansas.  I tried to figure out what this little fellow was, but couldn’t!

Pitcher sage, Salvia azurea and prairie iron weed, Vernonia fasciculata, in Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, near Strong City, Kansas.  Cerulean is pretty much my favourite flower colour.

Summer clouds and wild grasses in the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve near Strong City Kansas.  A swelteringly hot day, but very much worth the hike through the preserve, many prairie flowers I’d never seen before!
