Never was there a tale of more woe than that of Juliet and her Romeo
Never was there a tale of more strife than that of Macbeth and his stabby knife
Never was there a tale of more sad than that of Hamlet and his spooky dad
Never was there a tale of more feelia Than that of King Lear and his loyal Cordelia
How did I spend parade day yesterday?
Playing dress up at the fire station that aaron volunteers at and riding the side of the fire truck while passing out candy to the youngsters.
I liked the people we did it with so much, and I want to help, so I'll be volunteering as well.
Whelp
We’re gonna write off that practice exam...blame it on the news in the background.
I was half-way watching the press conference with the NIA and then Trump was on talking and i started getting mad at him so my concentration was shot.
I moved to another room (why didn’t I do that in the first place??) but then i was just anxious to be done.
On the plus side, despite my low score, I was shown a bunch f information I wasn’t entirely sure on, and I found out that 1/5 of my questions I got wrong were because I changed the answer. That’s like, an increase of perhaps 10 points overall.
Also, a solid 5 questions revolved around physics and I haven’t covered the physics manual yet, so that’s something.
And once I read the CARS for better reading comprehension skills, than I’ll be golden (plus some more tests and shit to take).
Now i’m just gonna relax for most of the rest of the day...or maybe even start reading my next manual.
I’m feeling the stress now.
MCAT practice exam, #2
I took a diagnostic half-length exam before starting to study a couple months ago (taking about 3 hours that was also interrupted by Charter showing up and the internet going out half way through), scoring a hefty 494.
I then read parts of my MCAT 2015 Official guide, all of Biology 1 manual (Cellular & Molecular) and half of Biology 2 (Systems), then took a full length practice exam, scoring 504. This exam took me about 6 hours, including taking 45 minutes for lunch instead of the 30 minutes. No breaks were taken between sections, and I finished most sections early (including crushing the psych section with half an hour remaining, and scoring the highest on it.) Of course, when looking back over my answer, some of them were dumb mistakes (given an empirical formula and being asked a question about what the compound is, but somehow missing the answer in the passage; not fully comprehending the question; going too fast and not verifying my answer).
I have now finished Biology 2, all but the last lecture in Chemistry (which is acid/base chemistry), and Psychology/Sociology. I have Physics and CARS left to read and study, but only 9 days before my exam (and four of them I work a full time schedule - 40 hours in four days). You might say I’m living on the edge with not preparing as much as I should, but thanks to my class schedule for last year and the people at work allowing me to study during work when slow, I have lots of faith in myself.
I’m about to take another practice exam to gauge where I’m at before finishing my materials. The final exam will be taken the Wednesday before the exam. In the meantime, I’ll finish the other two manuals, examine all my notes, practice questions, and go back over the exams I’ve taken to determine where I fucked up. If I have the time, I may even take the practice exams again.
Today’s goal: Score of 508, showing improvement and raising my confidence on being able to take this godforsaken exam, get it out of the way, and finally finish my application to have it ready to send out the second I get my score in July.
Ultimate goal: Score of 514 on the real MCAT (91 percentile, and the average or above average score for nearly all schools I’m interested in). Considering my GPA is meh at best, overall, an MCAT score will greatly help (on top of my experiences and what not).
Remember when Netflix and Tumblr didn’t exist and you read like 10 books a week? Good times.
First full day in Costa Rica: beach, sushi, sunset
It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you are ready. I have this feeling that actually no-one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.

This is actually really cool and fun and as a flute player I’m vastly impressed.
season 2 finale of grey’s anatomy:
Christina, Meredith, and Callie are all in black dresses. Alex and George are in black tuxes. Izzie is the only one in a bright colored dress, so when they’re walking of the hospital at the end of the episode, it almost looks like a funeral procession.
