Morning Trail Escape from the madding crowds of Hong Kong's neon-lit metropolis with a light stroll along Victoria Peak's Morning Trail. The 2.8 kilometer trail begins near the Peak Tramway upper station and winds around Lung Fu Shan Country Park, offering a scenic route which skirts over Lamma Island, Pok Fu Lam Reservoir, and of course, Hong Kong Island.

The Peak, Hong Kong

Undeniably one of the most popular attractions in Hong Kong, the Peak is a spectacular viewpoint that should not be missed.

On a clear blue day, your eyes are treated to a sea of sparkling skyscrapers towering over Victoria Harbour, and from afar the horizon of green hills provide a stunning backdrop to Hong Kong's suburban New Territories. The magic appears as night falls. Watching the sun set, Hong Kong's cityscape becomes gradually brushed over by a pink and orange glow before transforming into a dazzling galaxy of urban bright lights.

The Peak is full of great vantage points. For an admission fee, there is the Sky Terrace 428 in the iconic Peak Tower, but I prefer things for free, and if you don't mind a leisurely walk, the Peak's Circle trail is prefect for discovering more amazing vistas.
