Howdy! I analyze Wands from around the world. I've recently graduated from advanced Wizarding school and decided to make wands for a living. I'm open to look at and analyse any kind of wand you own.
Ash wood with a Unicorn core 14 ½" and a Hard flexibility thanks!!
Ash wood is a wise and intelligent wood. Helping the mind flow without any blockage; while Unicorn hair is the core that is least likely to have magical blockages in its spellcasting.
My guess is that this wand is flowing with bountiful magic.
It's incredibly long and rigid too! It might be slow, but it makes beautiful spells, am I correct?
Hi! I’m wondering if you could analyse this wand. A very unusual one… more of an experiment if anything: Yew wood stained in Basilisk blood, thestral hair and acromantula web dual core, 13.5 inches, reasonably supple.
Thanks!
wow! This really is a unique wand! and a fun and interesting experiment.
Let’s assume this wand is able to work together, all four components are able to get along and are harmonious. A difficult task with just wood and a single core- I’ve been doing this for years and sometimes the two will not get along due to any number of variables. I can make the same yew wand with the same thestral’s tail hair five times, and get five different wands.
I’ve never bathed a wand in a magical substance- and now i’m excited to see the results in some experiments. I assume it would suppress the wood’s natural personality- it’s own magical properties and introduce the creature’s into the equation.
But, back to your question.
At first glance, the wand has a strong theme of death.
Thestrals hair is self explanatory. The beast itself is heavily associated with death.
Acromantula web is an interesting one, an extremely sticky and strong string that will entrap the most ferocious beast- making them a sitting duck for the giant spider.
Yew wood is poisonous, and the addition of basilisk blood only adds to that fact. Basilisk blood is not the most poisonous part of the beast, of course, but it does make those who ingest it violent and bloodthirsty (no pun intended.)
I can’t see a scenario of this wand working harmoniously together. Fighting itself from the inside out. It’s all because of this simple fact: Acromantulas are terrified of Basilisks.
I understand the web is not the spider, but it is produced and created using the magical essence of the spider. Making the webbing absorbent of it’s creator’s personality.
The cores itself could work together. Thestral hair will work well with the webbing’s steadyfast reliability. It’s use for death would not discourage the thestral in any way.
But, for fun, let's assume this wand does work. I can always be wrong with my hypothesis. It would make a very quick-to-judge wand. Acting out and doing things on its own would be a common occurrence. It might disagree with itself and produce unpredictable results- as any dual-core wand does. This one is more than usual.
Of course, with a duo wand cores- this wand would be a beast. I wouldn’t want to face it in a duel.
Willow is such a beautiful wood. A top favorite of mine. The wood enjoys listening to its witchard’s wishes and doing whatever it can to help. So charming, it makes my heart swell when a wood enjoys working with its partner. It’s a very advanced wand though and should be given to those who have basic knowledge of spells and how to correctly cast them. Because the Willow wand is skilled at producing non-verbal magic. I’ve tested it on a spunky willow wand of my own creation. And the spoken spell vs the strength of the same spell, but unspoken was astonishing.
Combine that with the powerful punch of a Dragon heartstring core. Your trusted spells must be bursting with energy! Just be careful not to get too emotional when casting because both the wand and the wood are very sensitive to your emotions! Don’t want to do something you might regret.
I think pretty bendy is a good flexibility for this one. I know this core is very temperamental and might need a bit of breathing room. But not too much where it starts getting frisky.
I think your wand sounds like a pleasure to work with. I know you will do great things with it.
I got out of prison and finally returned to my small bungalow with all of my beautiful wands! Ready to help those in need. Or those who just want to learn how special their wands are.
Time to answer some question very. very late. (Sorry!) If you like what I’m doing. Please- Don’t be shy! Ask me to look at your wand! :)
Hermione Granger: A brilliant witch, head of the Ministry for Magic, and a part of the golden trio that fought and defeated Voldemort. It was a delight to look into and learn what a unique wand she had used.
The vine wood is often described as overflowing with potential, becoming impatient when it meets a Witchard that it is eager to work with. It attaches closely to the owner who practices and learns with the wand. Because of this, the wood would make learning and masters spells a quick and easy process if the Witchard is able to put forth the effort.
Dragon heartstrings are also quick learning. Bringing a powerful punch to any spell cast.
While I don’t know the flexibility of the wood. A higher flexibility would cause it to be a quick firing powerhouse. And a more rigid flexibility would allow this wand to shoot at others with a precise, deadly accuracy.
This wand would be the prime example other quick learning wands would want to learn from. If the Witchard is determined, studious, and eager to learn or use a spell, it would come easily to the wand.
My good friend suggested I take a look at his wand one day, and it’s one of the most charming wands I was able to meet.
Silver wood is often related to divination and the art of memories thanks to the Ollivander brand. But during all of my investigations and testing with this wood, I have not once found a connection to the mind. While, Yes, the wood may enjoy people who are seers, and legitimacy, they do not only chose those with those skills.
and while Arturo Cephalopos didn’t put a lot of care into his wands, he at least didn’t lie to the consumer.
All of the silver lime wands I tested were skilled at good fortune spells, charms, and potions such as the ones revolving around love, happiness, luck, healing, and other good-natured magic.
Dragon Heartstrings are quick learning, powerful spellcasters. But sometimes produces more flamboyant, showy magic rather than productive spells.
This wand would do well with any flexibility, but its bendy nature would make it a quicker spell caster.
In conclusion, this wand would be a treat to witness in any performance. While the wand would do well in any setting, thanks to the wide range of spell usage from the wood, and the power from the core. It has a lot of potential to do good in the magical world
It was surprisingly very easy to get Olivander to spill the beans on what his wand was. But I can see why Olivander would choose this wand for the famous ‘boy who lived,’ this wand is truly a special work of art.
Holly is always a beautiful wood, that is a treat to work with. It’s a unique wand wood that allows the core to shine through, without the effects that most wood types have on cores. Because of this, it’s easy to see the uniqueness that the core can show in the wand. The only thing this wood needs to be happy is to have a Witchard to help and protect.
Phoenix feathers are so detached from the Witchard they chose, it actually amazes me. While, yes the core did chose you, it doesn’t trust you until you prove you deserve the core. But after you do convince the core to trust you, it will create a great range of magic.
I can understand why Olivander made this wand Highly flexible. This wand would need as much breathing room as it can get.
Because of this mix, of phoenix feather’s unwillingness to work with the Witchard immediately, and Holly’s instinct to help the Witchard they picked can cause some strange confliction. Often resulting in the wand fighting itself instead of working together.
But if the two materials do agree with each other, and is able to work together long enough to start understanding each other. This core would shine so brightly and beautifully.
What wands have you created that you were surprised with the out come and why?
HM the most surprising outcome? The most dangerous part is after making the wand and trying it out.
I once created a wand with a gemstone, in attempt to study how they effect the wand. And when I picked it up, I blew through the other side of the wall!
HAHA my land lady was furious with me!
Now that I think about it, that happens to me a lot…
Hi, could you please analyze a larch wand with a unicorn core? 11 inches and of rigid flexibility. Thank you in advance!
A loyal wand, that develops with the Witchard.
Larch wood is a very special wand wood. It has the unique ability, to adapt to the user’s tastes. becoming exceptionally skilled in what the user is most interested in. Because of this, each larch wood wand is different, for example, one could be great at charms, while another is good at potions.
Unicorn hair makes beautiful, consistent magic. It isn’t very powerful but it won’t fluctuate or block when used.
This wand would do well with any flexibility, but the rigidness would increase its accuracy on spells.
In conclusion, Unicorn hair would be at home with the larch wood. This wood doesn’t demand much from the hair but instead works well with its even ability with any spell. The hair growing evenly with the wood as it develops a skill with the Witchard.
Both of these materials are extremely loyal to the Witchard, sooner to burn itself up upon its owner’s death than to live on.
Coastal redwood, much like the tree it was taken from, is a long lasting wand that doesn’t burn out easily. Some of the oldest wands I examined were made from redwood.
This wood is reliable. with it’s strengths being speechless magic. Understanding the will and wants of the user without much practice.
Snallygaster Tentacle are a very prideful wand core. While some cores will align themselves with certain personality traits they admire. Snallygaster Tentacle will align to the people they believe will achieve big things in life. With ambitious dreams, and the will to achieve those dreams.
Because of this, the core is easily won over to other people. You should feel proud to have this core, because it truly believe’s in your power.
It produces reliable, strong, non-flashy magic.
While this wand would do well with any flexibility, due to it’s reliable wood and core mixture. but because of It’s length, unyielding would be the best option for it. decreasing the possibility of it snapping.
In conclusion, The Snallygaster would enjoy the Redwood’s historic roots and reliability. This core and wood mends together beautifully. creating a steady stream of magic. it’s not as powerful as other wands. but reliability is sometimes a much better quality in a wand.
Could you analyze a Cedar Wood wand with a Phoenix Feather Core? If you need length and flexibility it's 13 inches and unyielding.
A very powerful, and picky wand.
Cedar wood is one of the most perceptive wands in the market. It can read into who you truly are, and what you will become in the future when choosing it’s wielder. Because of this, the wand knows what it wants and will never stand for less. It typically goes for wizards that are loyal to what they believe in.
I also have a theory that Cedar wood can enhance any wand core it is paired with. Because the magic that is made with Cedar wood, even if the core is the same as other wood types, will produce stronger magic. Making any wielder a terrifying foe to battle.
Phoenix feathers take some time to show their true power but it is a great range of power. While developing with a wizard, it can spew spells randomly without the witchard’s doing.
Cedar woods is commonly unyielding. Needing to be thick wood because of the heat from the overpowered core. Thinner woods can often overheat if used frequently.
In conclusion, this wand is picky- often sitting on the shelf- waiting for the witchard that will wield it. It is a very strong wand with phoenix feather and cedar wood. If you can handle it’s random spells in the early days, you will have a strong wand against almost anyone who is gutsy enough to fight you.
While many wand makers will tell you that mixing cores is a foolish, idiotic, and terrible idea, I like to think of it as a new way to learn about wand cores.
Sorting:
This wand is extremely picky to begin with. The phoenix feather is difficult to win over, while the thunderbird feather, wanting someone with both sharp wits and aloofness, and the hawthorn wood, notorious for being picky, will cause only a small amount to even be eligible to use this wand.
Wood:
Hawthorn wood is extremely stubborn, and can backfire to a disastrous results. But the duality of this wood’s nature can bring these two cores together, making it less likely for the cores to fight and burn each other.
Cores:
Phoenix feathers are extremely difficult to win over, but once they trust you it will produce strong steady magic.
Thunderbird feathers will produce strong, steady magic but are difficult to master and takes time to truly get use to the core.
Both cores can, and will act on their own accords. Thunderbird’s ability to sense danger and expel curses on their own, mixed with Phoenix’s strong ability with curses makes it a powerful wand that will protect you.
In regards to how these two cores will work together, Thunderbird would cool off the phoenix’s heated personality, and power. While the phoenix would push thunderbird’s confidence, making it act out even more than before. That’s only if the two cores are agreeable. Picking the correct core material is half the challenge with Dual cores.
Swishy-ness:
The wand is surprising swishy, because while it looks very rigid and strong it would need to be flexible for the two cores to breath.
Conclusion:
While I had assumed these two strong, powerful feathers would make a stronger wand. I ended up with a sub-par wand with about the same strength as a normal Phoenix core. It’s frequent trait of using spells on it’s own is something many people will dislike.
But I’ve experimented and believe if the witchard was patient and accepting of the wands random bursts of magic from time to time, they will produce such a strong magic and an ally for their whole life.
