a man who lost his mother at a young age, had a father who was constantly absent & never for a moment thought he wanted children.

a woman who had her family taken from her bit by bit until she was left alone, convinced that anyone who loved her was doomed.

and now… two parents thriving in their roles & healing pieces of themselves that they maybe thought would never have the chance to heal & become whole again. deserved doesn’t even cover it.
