Reviewers who saw 3x06 have confirmed there is no Alec cheating on Magnus or any indication that Alec would cheat on Magnus. It is confirmed he is drunk in 3x06 and he does have a conversation with Underhill (maybe it’s when he’s drunk but it’s not been specified) but all that’s been said about it is that Underhill seems like he would be a good friend to Alec.

LGBT+ people can be friends with other LGBT+ people without having romantic interest. LGBT+ people can be friends with other LGBT+ people without having romantic interest. I find it interesting that people complain all the time that Alec needs friends outside of his boyfriend and siblings, and when he does find perhaps some camaraderie in a fellow gay man who grew up in the same restrictive society he did, people are suddenly acting like Alec can’t have a friendship - much less a conversation - with a gay man, without something romantic being involved.

I understand both why Alec is moving so fast and why Magnus wants to take things slow with the relationship

Alec is a nephlim, they only fall in love once and die young so you’re expected to live your life fast, marry, have kids, etc etc. He knows he loves Magnus and he’ll never love anyone else so why take things slow? Especially in times of war?

But as for Magnus who’s lived for centuries, he’s used to having his heart broken and when it’s not, having to watch the people he cares about die. He’s not ready for the same to happen to Alec which is why he wants to take things slower

What I’m trying to say is don’t get on Alec for wanting to move in already but also don’t get on Magnus for possibly saying no because each have very valid reasons
