This AU takes place in the canon world up until Sunset, where Hawkfrost is suddenly trapped in a time loop of his last 24 hours alive, and he can only escape by choosing to become a better person.
While the time loop shenanigans are fun, a lot of my ideas are focused on what happens after and how Hawkfrost and the other Clan cats live with him after everything he's done, as well as how him being alive and trying to be kind changes future arcs such as Power of Three.
If you like background RiverClan cats like Pouncetail and Dawnflower and etc, or the idea of Mothwing and Mistyfoot being rightfully angry at Hawkfrost for a long time, or the potential for gay uncle Hawkfrost, stick around! I have lots of ideas and one place to put them!
The Plan
I'm very busy and chronically tired so I don't have any type of schedule. All I know is I do plan to write scenes from throughout this AU, and perhaps a few very short comics if that feels easier to me.
About Me
I'm a college student age Warriors fan, been here for over 10 years and I'm not going anywhere any time soon. Warriors started both my writing and art career and that'll always stay with me. I'm an autistic non binary lesbian (they/them pronouns). I'm majoring in zoology. RiverClan is my favorite Clan and Mothwing is one of my favorite characters.

they all mean very much to me, especially in the context of this au where i had to flesh out their characters! (pinefur has literally zero appearances outside the allegiances lmao)
heres a bit about their opinions of hawkfrost after he confesses to doing all the horrible things he did!
dapplepaw very much takes after her mentor, mistyfoot. she thinks hawkfrost should've been exiled. she can't stand to be around the traitor and makes her opinions known every chance she gets. it puts her at odds with some of her denmates.
minnowpaw is of the opposite opinion of dapplepaw. with all the naivety and optimism of a new apprentice, she doesn't quite get why everyone hates hawkfrost. no cat will fully explain to her, saying she's too young fo such things. she takes matters into her own paws and talks to hawkfrost himself. he's honest and forthcoming about what he's done, but minnowpaw just finds his truthfulness refreshing.
pebblepaw is minnowpaw's quieter brother, and since they are close he keeps an eye out for her. he doesn't trust hawkfrost at first, slowly warming up to him as hawkfrost shows his thoughtfulness with minnowpaw.
pinepaw is naturally kind. she credits her mentor, icewing, for teaching her right, but she's been this way since she was a kit. she believes that all cats deserve some kindness, and she is determined to give it.
rainpaw has conflicting feelings. he doesn't know exactly what he thinks about hawkfrost, but he knows his two best friends, pinepaw and dapplepaw, have completely different opinions. he cares about both of them and isn't sure what to do about it.
pouncepaw had perhaps the easiest time with forgiving hawkfrost. his mentor, reedwhisker, is the only warrior in riverclan who treats hawkfrost somewhat kindly. reedwhisker tells pouncepaw of how hawkfrost used to be, back in the old forest, and how they were good friends when reedwhisker was an apprentice. pouncepaw of course trusts his mentor, and finds he doesn't mind hawkfrost all that much, especially when he remembers the story reedwhisker told him of hawkfrost's first 'fish'.
otterpaw is of a similar belief to dapplepaw. she can't possibly understand why hawkfrost would be so disloyal. in truth, she's scared of him, and what he could have done. and what he could still do, to all of them.
willowpaw is the first cat other than leopardstar to try to forgive hawkfrost. though mothwing has explicitly forbidden her apprentice from going near him, willowpaw makes sure he doesn't get sick from sleeping out in the open all night. she has faith in her clan leader and in starclan, and believes in the second chance they are giving him.
