This world is ruled by the three Kingdoms, Willowshire, Corvidos, and Stormrun.
For four generations, the three Kingdoms have coexisted peacefully, and continue to maintain bonds be it through friendship, or mere courtesy. War is an ugly, messy endeavor, and it seems everyone wants to do what they can to avoid it. There are some, however, lurking in the shadows, and plotting their schemes of unrest, and chaos. A nation in war is far easier to overthrow, after all...
In the most recent moons, the betrothal of Young Princess Yilmi, and Crown Prince Ralleh has been announced! Everyone seems elated, especially the King and Queen of Corvidos, who have been unable to conceive other children since their eldest sons birth.
Now the two Kingdoms of Willowshire and Corvidos are alight with activity. Both cities are buzzing, as the Prince is soon to visit his bride to be, and the whole of the town is decorated beautifully in flowers, and silk. It has been some generations since the last time two of the royal families came together in matrimony, so it's a pretty big deal.
Prince Ralleh and his party arrived at the kingdom just in time for the Fertility Festival, and despite word from Stormrun prior, Princesses Thilia and Veroh also appeared for the festivities. As well, the princesses announce formally of their mothers pregnancy.
The events go decently, with Yilmis guard Ylva finding himself particularly lucky being matched with Princess Veroh in a couples matchmaking event. No doubt the rest of the Stormrun royals have heard of him by now.
Meanwhile at the castle, things brew behind the scenes. Queen Orai is up to her usual antics, while Taldac struggles to balance his duty to his apprentice, and his duty to his Queen.
Ralleh and Yilmi have finally met, and things seem... Good? The two are still a bit awkward, however, they seem to get along. The rest of the holiday goes by with relative ease.
Now the new Stormrun prince Worrehn has been born; the Corvidos caravan has returned with Yilmi in towe, and, Queen Orai has announced her own pregnancy.
The news leaves the King and Queen of Corvidos anxious to get the marriage underway, though, it seems Ralleh is doing his best to keep things on a more lenient schedule, as spring shifts into summer and new chapters are beginning to unfold.
The summer heat blazes before waning into the cool airs blowing from the west, signaling the beginning of Autumn. The colours of tree leaves begin to change, and animals fatten themselves in preparation for the colder months ahead.
Orai has given birth to twins! Prince Orobos and Princess Talynn. The Kingdom rejoices, however there are those who question the kittens parentage. These rumors aren't uncommon, however the appearance of the new princess has made these rumors harder to ignore. The Kings brother Morucio has finally found a bride, and is expecting kits of his own! Marrying the new brewmaster of the Willowshire Inn, Figly, the two make a handsome couple.
In Corvidos the prince can no longer stall, and King Grukar has set a hard date for the wedding between him and princess Yilmi. The mines are in full swing, putting in more hours to get what materials they can before the start of Winter, when the rock becomes too hard to work with. Some families seem overtired, however, the prospect of the royal wedding continues to keep the spirits alive in Corvidos. Yilmi has quickly become well liked by the commonfolk, and while her altruism served her well in Willowshire, the upper crust of Corvidos find her generosity and good faith in the common drab to be unbecoming.

Autumn rolls through the kingdoms without much news, or rather, nothing outwardly obvious. Things were brewing in both castles, as they prepared for the royal wedding. In Corvidos, Prince Ralleh has revealed his secret to Halburg, that being... He was gay. He hadn't been able to tell his parents before the royal deal fell into place, leaving Ralleh, and Yilmi, stuck in a situation only one of them seemed happy to partake in. Speaking of the princess, she only grows more elated as days go by, happier than ever knowing that soon she would be wed to the prince of her dreams. When the wedding arrives, it's a dreamlike affair. Besotted in the light of stained glass windows and the soft sound of music, everyone in attendance was enthralled by the dreamlike occasion. But it didn't last. When Yilmi and Ralleh are crowned the new King and Queen, rumbles began to occur, before explosions broke out. Luckily no one was killed, but a few were left with scars. Now, part of Corvidos castle was in ruin, and no one knew what exactly had caused such an event, no one had seen anything like it before. As everyone tries to figure out what happened, and the strange smelling blasts, the new King and Queen are now faced with the challenge of rebuilding the castle during winter... It looks like it will be an especially slow, and cold one this year.

As Autum rolls into Winter, it seems that all of the Kingdoms begin to hunker down. Everyone minds their own business in the cold, it seems. During this year, at least. However. as the icy cold wind blew through the openings in the destroyed parts of Corvidos Castle, Ralleh was hard at work on the repairs, while Yilmi dealt with the people of Corvidos; offering her assurance and sunlight in order to calm the spirits of the people. The attack on the royal wedding was unprecedented, and the newly crowned King and Queen had their paws full with duties, so much so, that the investigation into what had happened began to fall into the wayside...
Meanwhile, in Stormrun, it seems as though after the birth of Prince Worrehn, Queen Weruh grew ill, and never truly recovered. As Winter drew to its end, the Queen drew close to her death, and, peacefully, she passed into the wind during the night. As Spring comes to the Kingdoms, Stormrun begins its preparations for the Trial of Heirs in order to choose their next ruler.
