The more I think about it the more reasonable Shouto's secret love child theory gets. Like, after growing up the way he did, it would've been pretty easy to assume that All Might was also up to all the same eugenics shit that Endeavor was doing. I feel like Shouto would've had a lot of distrust in heroes in general (even All Might) around the time that he came up with that theory too- although this changes pretty quickly because Deku happens and he remembers what Rei and All Might said yada yada yada.
Also, Deku breaking his bones whenever he uses his quirk would've definitely reminded Shouto of what happened to Touya. Endeavor even noticed it too, and projected what happened to Touya onto Deku when he told him he was 'one of us' (I can't lie I find this comment so so creepy, Endeavor literally cannot go five minutes without projecting his presumed dead kid onto living ones).
I don't know if Horikoshi actually had what happened to Touya figured out at the point of the secret love child theory (he probably didn't tbf) but it still fits so neatly. Justice for conspiracy theorist Shouto- he's working with what he's got and he's doing it pretty well all things considered.
(I also love the headcanon that because he was friendless before high school, the closest he got to social interaction was reading manga and he just copied and pasted the plotlines into real life. So he ends up coming up with theories that sound like fictional plot twists. Luckily for him he is actually in a manga so shit like that is possible lol. Unluckily for him he missed the actual plot twist aka dabi.)
