Weekly update - Day3
I've been working on it for a little while now, and I'm still at the beginning of the script. A few new sprites have already been added, and two backgrounds have been updated! Since the previous update introduced a lot of new sprites, most of the upcoming scenes won't require many additional ones, although there will still be a few special scenes and brand-new backgrounds.
Before starting this update, I mentioned that I was cleaning up the game's code. Over the course of development, I've learned a lot and significantly improved the way I program, which has made everything much faster and easier to work on. The coffee shop scene is a bit long, so I only have two screenshots for you today Eu jĆ” venho trabalhando na atualizaĆ§Ć£o a algum tempo, e ainda stou no comeƧo do roteiro. Alguns novos sprites foram adicionados, e dois backgrounds foram atualizados! JĆ” que n atualizaĆ§Ć£o anterior eu adicionei varios novos sprites, boa parte das cenas nĆ£o vai precisar de novos desenhos, mas ainda pode ter algumas cenas especiais com novoc backgrounds tambĆ©m. Antes de comeƧar essa atualizaĆ§Ć£o eui mencionei que estava limpando o codigo. Com o desenvolvimento de tudo eu aprendi bastante e melhore bastante a forma de programar mais facil e isso vai deixar as coisas ao menos mais rapidas A cena do cafĆ© Ć© um pouco longa, eu tenho apenas 2 prints por hoje.

Fandom is varied. People who participate and create often create for themselves and sometimes they're gonna create stuff you're not into, and that's fine that what tags are for sweetheart. Don't stress yourself or others out by pearl clutching at every little thing that doesn't jive with you. Simply keep scrolling, don't read the fic, don't look at the art, filter the tags you don't like, block the creator you don't like.
It's not the 2010's anymore. Fandom purity culture is dumb and makes people not like you.
This is what Im hanging onto. Because how the FUCK does a kitchen and some AR camera bullshit require 27gb???
Okay here are some things that give us hope right now.
- Valkoās trailers are still up on X, the only platform that doesnāt allow archiving of posts.
- His discord has been archived, not deleted.
- The hunters notice messages from his live stream is still in the game.
- His world underneath chapter is still there.
- His song is still up on Spotify.
- Calebās version update for his release was split into two parts and he came in part 2. They could be doing the same thing with Valko.
- Infolds silence isnāt voluntary. There is no way. They are losing more revenue by the day, they have fallen dramatically in the charts, their reviews have been absolutely bombed and the update is glitchy as fuck. Theyāre editing content behind the scenes to meet the ccpās expectations and itās obvious they rushed the update because of it.
- on top of the ccp breathing down their necks they are still being violently targeted and threatened by deranged āfans.ā They wonāt say anything until they have their shit sorted and itās safe to do so.
- I saw some leaks about his story and if theyāre true he is way more important to this story than we thought. Erasing him isnāt just company suicide, in fact I have no words to describe how stupid it would be.
There might be more Im forgetting but for now this is enough.
Yall know how I was all gloomy and depressed before? Yeah. Yeah screw that Im fucking fuming now. I donāt give a fuck about censorship. They donāt get to screw over their players and the people who made Valko and loved him like he was their child. I took a moment to process things and now Iām gonna keep fighting harder than before.
Silent Whispers isn't the savior of this whole situation.
I don't understand why so many people are acting like everyone is suddenly going to abandon Love and Deepspace and switch over.
First of all, Archosaur is also a Chinese company. There's no guarantee that what happened with Valko couldn't happen to one of their own love interests after launch. If the game becomes successful enough, it could end up facing the same restrictions. After everything that's happened, why would players who had to leave behind their main in Love and Deepspace want to risk going through the exact same thing again with another Chinese otome game?
I also don't think it's realistic to expect people who have spent years building an emotional attachment to their favorite character to simply transfer that attachment to an entirely different game and immediately trust another company.
There's also been speculation that some of this controversy may have indirectly benefited Archosaur by pushing disappointed players toward their upcoming game. Whether that's true or not, it's just speculation, but it's something people have been discussing.
And finally, Silent Whispers hasn't even been released yet. Based on everything we've seen so far, I seriously doubt it will be able to match Love and Deepspace in terms of storytelling, production value, character writing, or visuals at least not for another three or four years, if ever.
Would more competition in the 3D genre be a good thing? Absolutely. But the Valko situation is much more complicated than simply saying, "Just play another game." Personally, I hope a strong non-Chinese studio one that isn't subject to the same government restrictions can eventually step in and fill the void for players who are looking for a long term alternative.

The N109 Zone never truly slept.
Neon light bled through the rain slicked glass of the high rise lounge, painting the room in fractured reds and cold blues. Outside, the city hummed like a living thing, dangerous, beautiful, indifferent.
Inside, Sylus stood by the floor to ceiling window with a glass he hadnāt touched in a while. He lookedā¦ calm. As always. But there was something sharp in the stillness tonight. Like a storm deciding whether or not to break.
Behind him, the doors opened without announcement. A familiar presence. He didnāt turn right away. āā¦Youāre late,ā he said at last. āOr did you just miss the part where I told you not to keep me waiting?ā
Then he finally glanced over his shoulder, those red eyes catching the light like embers. And just like that, the air shifted. He always did that without trying. A faint smirk touched his lips as he set the glass down. āI was beginning to think youād gotten lost,ā he added. "Or worseā¦ decided not to come.ā
He pushed off the window slowly, finally facing you fully. āTell me,ā Sylus murmured, stepping closer with unhurried confidence, āwhich one is it?ā
