I had a dream that I went on a date with MacCready and I honestly need to know what that means.
Companions react to a tired sole falling asleep in front of them?
Cait: She takes full advantage of the situation and draws all over Sole.
Curie: The only time Curie disturbs Sole is to drape a blanket over them.
Danse: He tries to carry them to bed but trips and drops them.
Deacon: He sort of watches over them as they sleep like he often does.
Hancock: He resists the urge to mess with them, and just leaves them be.
MacCready: Mac pulls Sole close to him and lets them use his lap as a pillow.
Nick: He drapes his coat over their shoulders and then resumes his work.
Piper: She keeps talking to them, thinking that they’re still awake.
Preston: He definitely carries them to bed and tucks them in.
X6-88: He just sort of leaves to go do his own thing.
What was the first thing you thought when you met the companions? Maxson + Sturges pls!
Sure thing, anon!
Cait: I want to watch her punch a Deathclaw.
Curie: Take it to the bank boys, she’s the perfect character.
Danse: Buzz Lightyear is taking a tone with me.
Deacon: I hope he calls me ‘babe’.
Hancock: *Gun shots and cash register noises*.
MacCready: He hasn’t changed one bit. He’s still a nasty little gremlin and I love him.
Nick: Let my metal husband take break. He’s tired, please let him rest.
Piper: There literally cannot be a sassier character.
Preston: This man is a literal ray of sunshine.
X6-88: He looks like a rejected Sharkboy and Lavagirl character.
Bonus!
Maxson: Only twenty years old and he’s the leader of a bunch of racists with armor. So proud of him.
Sturges: I KNOW WHO I’M ROMANCING.
Honestly, I love Sturges so much. He’s a gentle beef-cake with a pompadour and honestly he is my dream man. I really wish I could interact with him more and I was seriously so let down when I found out I couldn’t romance him.
AU where Dogmeat is not a dog, but a cat! How would the companions react if they met the sole survivor with a catmeat Instead of Dogmeat?
Ah, this is a cute idea! Thank you for submitting this, anon.
Cait: “You’ve got to be an idiot thinkin’ that a cat could help ya’ in a fight. Yer’ better off goin’ into a fight with no weapon!”
Curie: “Oh, a feline companion! My, I must say that is peculiar yet oddly charming!”
Danse: “Soldier, I fail to see how a cat could assist you in battle. Frankly, I think it’s a distraction to you.”
Deacon: He has no witty remarks, he’s too busy sneezing and wiping tears from his face.
Hancock: “Oh man. You traveling the Commonwealth with a cat at your side? Hell, you belong in Goodneighbor!”
MacCready: “A cat? You’re kidding me, right? Oh man, you have got to be kidding me.”
Nick: “I’m not here to judge who or what you travel with, but do you really think that a cat is going to be able to help you out in a fight?”
Piper: “The cat is cute and all, but I really don’t think it’s the best idea for you to rely on such a small animal to help protect you.”
Preston: “Man, that is something else. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone take on Raiders with a cat before.”
X6-88: “Sir/Ma’am, this animal doesn’t possess the capabilities to aid you in battle. I fail to see how it is useful to you as a companion.”
would you please have the companions react to a SS who has horrible night terrors?
I’ve already got you covered, anon! Here’s the link:
I think most people who play fallout 4 keep all their companions in the same settlement. Do you have any headcanons on what it's like having companions as roommates?
Cait: The roommate who you adore but fight with constantly.
Curie: She’s the roommate that cleans up after you and says nothing.
Danse: Honestly, he’s the perfect roommate. He’s quiet, courteous, and clean.
Deacon: He’s the roommate who tries on your clothes when home alone.
Hancock: Hands down Hancock is that roommate who’ll walk around nude.
MacCready: Mac is the roommate that steals your socks.
Nick: The roommate who wants everything to be fair.
Piper: She’s the roommate who uses up all the towels.
Preston: He’s the roommate that tries to cook for you but burns everything.
X6-88: He’s the roommate who’s literally never home.
BEACH DAY! what do the companions wear, what kind of activities do they find themselves partaking in.....(swimming, beach volleyball, sunbathing, etc)
Quality ask, dude.
Cait: She’s wearing a bikini, plain and simple. She spends her time sun bathing and drinking.
Curie: Curie has one of those really cute vintage sailor one pieces. She is fascinated with all of the marine life and spends her time collecting shells.
Danse: He’s wearing the standard sort of beach wear, swimming trunks and a t-shirt. He’s huddled under a parasol, sitting on a towel. He hates sand.
Deacon: He’s sporting a pair of those super short board shorts and he spends his time surfing. Surprisingly, he’s actually pretty good.
Hancock: He’s probably wearing a shirt that says, “This sex machine is solar powered”. He spends his time buried in the sand.
MacCready: He’s wearing a “Suns out guns out” shirt without a doubt. He’s the one who buried Hancock in the sand.
Nick: He’s absolutely wearing socks and sandals. Nick is with Danse, as he’s not a fan of sand either. Sand is a pain to clean out of synthetic joints.
Piper: She’s wearing a very simple polka-dotted one-piece. She sunbathes for a majority of the time, but ends up building sand castles with Sole.
Preston: He’s just wearing a plain pair of swimming trunks. Initially, he just kind of relaxes, but he ends up helping Piper and Sole with their sand castles.
Fo4 companions head to New Vegas!!! Who'd get hammered? Who'd hit the strip? Who'd go to the casinos? Who's mostly hungover? And how are they the morning after?
Ahh, I love this!
Cait: She’s in Gammorah the entire time she’s there.
Curie: She ends up pitching in with The Followers of the Apocalypse.
Danse: He hates it. He hates the sand.
Deacon: He tries to join The Kings.
Hancock: Who hates the NCR? This ghoul!
MacCready: He gambles every single one of his caps away.
Nick: Primm Slim is his new best buddy.
Piper: She plays tourist and takes in all the sights.
Preston: Is absolutely entranced by the whole “cowboy” thing.
X6-88: Ends up as the champion of The Thorn.
Oooooooooooooooooh can you write all of the companions (including codsworth and strong and dogmeat) defending sole? Like if someone insulted them?
For sure, bud!
Cait: “Oi, buggar off ya’ arse! Yer’ lucky Sole is ‘round to keep me from puttin’ ya’ in yer’ place.”
Codsworth: “My, how rude! I see that common courtesy has been lost to the ages. Are you alright there, sir/mum?”
Curie: “Mon dieu! Madame/Monsieur you are quite rude to say such a thing to him/her.”
Danse: “Watch your tongue, civilian. You’re slinging insults at a member of the Brotherhood.”
Deacon: “Ouch. If crickets weren’t extinct, they’d be chirping right now. You might want to work on your material.”
Dogmeat: He slinks back and growls at the stranger, his ears laying flat.
Hancock: “We got a real funny-man over here, don’t we? Well, you might want to back off before I do something real funny to you.”
MacCready: “Hah, that’s pretty cute. Did you come up with that one all on your own?”
Nick: “You might want to high tale it out of here, wiseass. I don’t take kindly to people who insult my partner.”
Piper: “Good lord. Do you really think that Blue cares what you have to say? News flash! They don’t.”
Preston: “Hey, that’s no way to talk to anybody. Especially not to the general of the Minutemen.”
Strong: “Puny human insult my human. This human not know what milk of kindness is. We look somewhere else.”
X6-88: “I suggest that you leave before I find it necessary to defend my associate. It’s far from appropriate for you to speak of them in such a manner.”
Your companion reactions are seriously the best <3 You capture the personalities of the companions perfectly. I hope you never stop doing them! You're awesome! :)
Oh my gosh, thank you so much anon! You’re such a sweetheart.
Romanced companions react to a sole who fusses over them like a mom (Like fixing their hair and all that good fish)
This is a cute ask, I love it!
Cait: “Sole, cut yer shit.” As much as Cait loved Sole, this was the one thing that Sole did that she could absolutely not stand.
Curie: “Oh, mon amour is there something wrong?” Whenever Sole would do this, Curie would begin fixing herself up as well.
Danse: It was just another thing to love about Sole. However, it embarrassed him whenever they would get all finicky in front of others. “Sole, please…”
Deacon: Every time Sole does this, he makes the exact same comment. “Hm, your shirt is a mess. Maybe you should take it off.”
Hancock: He loves it when they do this, he thinks it adorable. “Look at you, always wanting to make sure I look my best.”
MacCready: He would fuss over Duncan constantly, so it’s kind of nice being fussed over for once. “Do I look alright?”
Nick: He appreciates it, but he always teases Sole about it. “Wait, is there something on my face? Or is there not enough of my face?”
Piper: While Piper does think it’s a cute habit, she also finds it a bit annoying. “Blue, please. I look fine.”
Preston: In all honesty, Preston fusses over them too. Unlike Sole however, he enjoys being fussed over. “Always looking out for me.”
How'd platonic companions(crushing on sole) react to fem!sole falling on them in a rather compromising position?😏
You’re saucy, anon!
Cait: The two would fall together, Sole’s head coming to rest on Cait’s chest. “Oi!” She’d snarl, immediately regretting the tone she had taken with Sole. She went silent and stiffened, feeling Sole nuzzle into her. “Yeah, just make yer’self comfortable, I guess.” She muttered softly, pouting.
Curie: “Madame!” She would squeal, arms wrapped around Sole’s shoulders. Curie would giggle childishly, her face reddening. “You are alright, yes? You have sustained no injuries, have you mon cherie?” The synth gasped softly, half hoping that Sole didn’t quite catch what she had allowed to slip.
Danse: The paladin’s burly arms immediately found their way around Sole, pulling her close to him. It was simply an involuntary reaction, he told himself. He had absolutely no interest in fraternizing with Sole. Both were lies. “Sole– I mean, soldier!” He stuttered, biting the inside of his cheek. “Are you alright?”
Deacon: “Man, I have the best view right now.” He teased, his goofy, red eyebrows raising. Without thinking, Deacon wrapped an arm around her waist. His teeth tugged at his bottom lip, his face beginning to take on a darker hue. He quickly withdrew his arm from around Sole and rose to his feet, clearing his throat.
Hancock: “Woah there, Sunshine.” He grinned, looking up at Sole. “A ghoul could really get used to this.” Hancock purred, winking at the woman who hovered above him. Sole snorted, pushing herself up off of the flirtatious ghoul. “Oh man, it just keeps getting better!” He cackled, running a hand over the side of his face.
MacCready: “Boss!” He sputtered, going completely rigid. “You can get up now, Sole.” The mercenary grumbled, turning his head to avoid Sole’s gaze. God this was embarrassing, he thought. However, it was pretty sweet to have Sole on top of him like this. MacCready complained, but he was most certainly enjoying this.
Nick: “Well, if that was a trust fall then I sure as hell didn’t catch you, kid.” He teased, adjusting his metallic chassis underneath Sole. If Nick could blush, he most certainly would be right now. “Now get off of me, will ya’? I think you busted somethin’.” Nick laughed softly, watching Sole rise. What a sight, he thought to himself.
Piper: “Blue!” Piper yelped, her head hitting the ground much harder than the rest of her body had. Her arms came to rest around Sole’s waist as she grimaced in pain. “As much as I like the position I’m in right now, would you please help me up?” Even after Sole was standing and had helped her favorite reporter up, Piper’s arm remained around Sole’s waist.
Preston: As soon as the two realized they were on the floor, Preston broke out in laughter. Eventually, he calmed himself his gaze coming to meet with Sole’s. “General…” He said under his breath, coming to the realization that the two were closer than they had ever been before. “I uh, you’re okay right?” He stuttered, embarrassed.
I love your companion react posts, they are soooo good!! Could you maybe do one on how the companions would react to Sole confessing their feelings for them? (With Nick and X6 if that's cool > w >)
Thank you so much, bud. Also, sure thing!
Cait: “Cut the crap, Sole. I ain’t up fer’ funny buisiness right now, and I sure as hell ain’t up to no lovey-dovey shite.” Cait rolled her eyes and grit her teeth, blushing. The Irishwoman groaned, attempting to hide her face. “Alright, maybe I am up fer’ all of it, but you better not pull anythin’ on me because I will make you regret it.” She couldn’t help but smile, even when she threatened Sole. “Better treat me to dinner first, though.”
Curie: “Oh madame/monsieur!” She exclaimed, her eyes widening. “I am so flattered to be hearing that you experience emotions in such a way for me. However, I must ask if you comfortable with, well…Me being a synthetic woman. You are okay with this, no?” Curie’s heart soared, already knowing what Sole’s answer would be. Curie idolized Sole for their caring and selfless nature, and to hear that they felt for Curie was news she was very happy to receive.
Danse: “Soldier, you know the rules on fraternization between two Brotherhood members.” Danse spoke softly, hoping not to hurt Sole. “It’s strictly forbidden, and you know that just as well as I do.” His heart ached, he had grown quite fond of Sole and had even come to develop romantic feelings for them. In the end, Danse couldn’t help himself. He cleared his throat, a large hand coming to rest gently on the side of Sole’s face. “But…I suppose I can make an exception to this rule for you.”
Deacon: Bushy, red eyebrows emerged from behind Deacon’s glasses, his cheeks reddening. He let out an awkward, girlish laugh forcing a smile. “C’mon Sole, quit kidding around.” He spat out, his voice cracking. He knew Sole wasn’t joking, and he was beyond happy that they were serious. He undoubtedly had feelings for Sole, but he felt that Sole deserved better. Deacon ignored all previous instincts and pulled Sole into a chaste kiss. “I know you’re not kidding, Sole. And quite honestly, I’m glad you aren’t.”
Hancock: A wolfish grin lazily found its way onto Hancock’s mangled lips, his ghoulish eyes narrowing. “Is that so, Sunshine?” He hummed, wrapping an arm around Sole’s waist. “Didn’t know you had a thing for ghouls, Sole. And I sure as hell didn’t take you as the type who’d go for a handsome devil like me.” He let out a low chuckle, winking at Sole. “Don’t misunderstand me, though. I’m surely not complaining.”
MacCready: “Well gee Boss, I don’t know…” The mercenary was red faced and terribly nervous. He had developed some sort of feelings for his companion, but he wasn’t sure how to communicate it. “I mean, I do know. But the thing is, I’m just not sure how to say it, I suppose.” His gaze shifted to his feet, eyes darting quickly from one shoe to the other. He cleared his throat, one hand adjusting the brim of his hat. “I guess what I mean to say is, that I feel the same way.”
Nick: He is completely taken back by Sole’s words. “You’re not going soft on me, are you kid?” He’d ask in his usual snarky tone, staring Sole down with a quirked brow. Well, where a brow should be. “Not sure any sane person would want anything to do with an old bot like me.” He tried his hardest to play things off, but the truth was, he had felt something for Sole for quite some time now. “I mean, if that’s what you really want, I have no problem obliging.”
Piper: “Blue, that is…Wow.” Piper cleared her throat, shifting uncomfortably in her place. “You’re kind of the last person I expected to feel this way about me if we’re putting everything out in the open here.” She wrung her hands together, feeling her chest tighten. “I mean, it’s not too soon for you…?” Piper asked sheepishly, only wanting to ensure that Sole was ready to pursue a relationship with someone else. “If you really feel that way, then I wouldn’t mind giving things a try.”
Preston: “Wow, General…” He’d pause, taking a sharp inhale. “I hadn’t realized that you felt like this, but if I’m honest myself, I suppose I felt a little bit of the same.” Preston would give a bright smile, blushing only slightly. “I suppose this is the highest honor you can bestow upon me as my general, right?” He laughed, suddenly feeling a quite awkward. He had felt a budding love for Sole, but he never expected them to reciprocate those feelings.
X6-88: “Sir/Ma’am, I must say that this is the first time that anybody has confessed such things to me. I suppose I must say that this also the first time I have experienced what I believe they refer to as ‘flattery’.” The courser would break his normal deadpan expression display a rather forced, yet well meaning smile. He wasn’t exactly sure how to respond to this, in fact, he was absolutely clueless. This was one thing the Institute hadn’t educated him about.
your blog is A++ quality material~ keep up the great work bud! we love ya!
Ahh, thank you so much anon! I’m thrilled that you guys enjoy my content so much. I love you guys too, you’re all so sweet! <3
Oh I know, how would the companions react to a sole who is super clumsy? Like a sole who can't walk five feet with out tripping, falling over something, or slamming into something? For some reason that thought entertains me
Sure thing, anon!
Cait: “What the hell Sole, are yer’ feet still frozen or somethin’? Yer’ stumblin’ ‘round like an idiot!”
Curie: “Madame/Monsieur are you alright? Has the radiation affected your motor skills?” Curie was genuinely concerned for Sole.
Danse: “The way you carry yourself makes it unbelievable that you’re such a skilled combatant, soldier.” He teased, giving Sole a smile.
Deacon: “Not so light on your feet there, are you slick?” Deacon would tease, only to end up tripping over his untied shoelaces.
Hancock: “How hard are you tripping brother/sister?” He’d laugh, more amused by his joke than Sole’s clumsiness.
MacCready: The mercenary was pretty clumsy himself, so he didn’t have much room to talk. “Take it easy there, Boss.”
Nick: “Hell, kid.” He’d laugh, shaking his head. “Did that ice box leave you like this, or have you always been this damn clumsy?”
Piper: The reporter couldn’t help but laugh whenever Sole tripped or stumbled. “Careful, Blue!”
Preston: “Take it easy, general. One step at a time.” He’d flash a bright smile at Sole, suppressing laughter.
X6-88: “Sir/Ma’am, may I suggest that you pace yourself? You are graceless when you rush.”
Companions react to a guy trying to grab SS butt and the companions get really jealous? LOVE YOUR FRICKING BLOG KEEP IT UP 😉❣️
Oh gosh, thank you so much! That honestly means so much to me. <3
Cait: A jealous Cait is a dangerous Cait. Well, any Cait is dangerous, but when she’s envious, whoever she’s envious of should probably steer clear of the Irishwoman. Cait strolled over to the man who was pestering Sole and gave him a hefty shove, grimacing at him. “Ya’ think ya’ can just touch ‘em like that?” She’d hiss, eyes narrowing at the individual. “Well guess what? Ya’ can’t.” Cait was absolutely looking to start a fight, but the man who had dared to touch Sole in such a way most certainly was not. Especially not with Cait.
Curie: The way he touched Sole made her more irritated than jealous. Actions such as those were completely off limits if they weren’t consensual, and it irked Curie that he would do grab Sole when it wasn’t something they wanted. “Excuse me, monsieur!” She would huff, delicate hands balling up into trembling fists. “Who are you to touch my dear companion in such a way?” The man stepped away from Sole, hands in the air, grinning. “Il est un fils de pute!” She muttered, trying to regain composure.
Danse: Oh boy, Danse was absolutely steaming. His brows were knitted into a bushy mess, his face red from both embarrassment and jealousy. He was envious that he had been able to touch Sole like that, and he was frustrated that Sole hadn’t stood up for themselves. Moreover, he was furious that a stranger had touched her like that. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Danse’s burly stature loomed over the man, his voice low. The BOS uniform clad man surely intimidated the other, as he left as quickly as his feet could carry him
Deacon: Deacon tried his best not to allow their flirting to get to him, but the second that creep laid a hand on Sole, Deacon lost his cool. “Hey there buddy!” He drawled, slipping in between the two. Deacon looked at the stranger with hellfire burning in his eyes. “You know that dude I totally beat the hell out of after he grabbed your ass?” He looked over to Sole with an exaggerated look. “Well, I heard that he’s not going to make it. I guess when I broke two of his ribs it made his insides a total mess.” To say the very least, that scared the pervert off.
Hancock: Hancock was a shameless flirt himself, so he felt as if he really couldn’t be jealous when Sole indulged in some harmless flirting of their own. He couldn’t help himself from feeling uneasy, though. Especially not after he groped Sole. That was a very big mistake. Hancock slid into a bar stool next to the stranger and wrapped a skinny arm around his shoulders. “What is up, my man?” Hancock growled, looking at the other man with a crooked smile. “You enjoy grabbing people like that, eh? Well, I have interests of my own, you feel?” Hancock rose from the creaky, upholstered seat and proceeded to slam the pervert’s face into the bar counter as hard as he possibly could.
MacCready: In truth, MacCready was jealous when pretty much anybody talked to Sole. It was something he concealed a good portion of the time, but watching someone grab Sole in such a manner set him off. He stood, calloused palms slamming flat on the table in front of him. “That’s it.” He groaned, wrinkling his nose. His heart raced, and his palms began to sweat. “Hey, chump!” He called out, his voice cracking. “What the hell was that for, huh? Touching them like that?” Sole avoided eye contact with either of them as their cheeks flushed a dark hue. The stranger laughed, shook his head and left.
Nick: Nick wasn’t particularly fond of many people in the Commonwealth, but people who just went around groping people really got his coolant flowing. He absolutely despised those who took every opportunity they could to prey on practically anybody they could. “Are you kidding me? You just go around touching everybody like that?” Nick approached the man, non-existent brows furrowed. “Are you really that much of an ass that you just ignore people’s signals or are you just that stupid?” The man was considerably larger than the synth, but Nick Valentine was not a man you wanted to cross. The man left with an irritated grunt, grimacing at Nick.
Piper: Sole and Piper flirted back and forth more often than Piper would like to admit, so seeing someone flirt with Sole clearly evoked feelings of envy from Piper. Seeing some creep get handsy with Sole made her just downright enraged. However, Piper wasn’t terribly skilled in combat so she had to use her wit and cunning to her advantage. The reporter made her way over to the pair, Sole clearly uncomfortable with the man. “Oh man, that was a big mistake buddy. You know Sole has an incurable disease from Vault 81, right? They’re sorta’ immune to it, but if anybody happens to come in contact with them, whichever body part touched my friend Sole over here rots off. Gross, right?” The stranger left as quickly as he had came, but Sole wasn’t too happy with her method of dealing with him.
Preston: Preston tried his absolute best to keep jealousy to minimum. However, seeing someone grab Sole like that made it hard for Garvey to keep calm and collected. “Hey!” Preston shouted, looking to the guilty individual. “You keep your hands off them, you hear me?” Preston never laid a hand on the man, but his words were somehow enough to get him to leave. Preston didn’t enjoy dealing with people like that, and he most certainly didn’t enjoy having others see him take such actions. Especially not Sole. He outstretched a hand, resting it on Sole’s shoulder. “You okay there, General?”
Hey, I love your blog!! How would the companions react to a sole who is always straight faced and serious and quiet so everyone assumes they're cool af but them one day, after they've been traveling together for a while its revealed somehow that Sole just doesn't speak English and has no idea what's going on 😂😂😂
Thank you so much, anon!
Cait: She just gives Sole the most dumbfounded look. “What the hell…? Sole, you’re not making any sense!”
Curie: “Oh, tu parles Français aussi?” She’d squeal, clasping her hands in hopes that Sole would respond in French.
Danse: “Soldier…” He narrowed his eyes at Sole, leaning in a bit. “What’s going on?” He’s so confused.
Deacon: “Oh man, nice one boss!” He’d laugh, nodding in approval. “J’ai le corps d’un chien.” He’d say in full confidence, when in reality he too has no idea what he had just said.
Hancock: “So, you’re not the strong and silent type, eh?” He’d go silent momentarily, only to follow up with a few different ‘hellos’. “Hola, bonjour, ciao.”
MacCready: “I don’t know what you’re saying, but if you’re saying something bad about me, I know a few insults of my own.” He’s honestly not sure what to do about this.
Nick: “Woah there, kid. I have no idea what you’re saying or what language you’re speaking.” He sighed, looking at them with an uncertain expression.
Piper: “Oh Blue, wow…” She stares at Sole completely wide eyed, arms crossed. She goes to speak again, but realizes it’s a fruitless effort.
Preston: Preston does the most logical thing and takes Sole to Codsworth in hopes of him understanding them. He was Sole’s Mr. Handy, he must understand them, right?
X6-88: Responds perfectly in whatever language Sole spoke.
—
Translations: “Oh, you speak French, too?” and “I have the body of a dog.”
