Light Novel Volume 25 Spoilers (Anime Onlys beware!)
Holy fucking shit. Reid Astrea, you're not just an aura monster, you're an aura nightmare.
Seriously, though, jesus christ. Volume 25 of Re:Zero LN is peak. Reid has become a personal favorite and a new fixation of mine. I love his character so much, this type of anti-hero. I have so many thoughts, I might share them later. I am still recovering from Julius and Reid's fight, however. I am so proud of Julius, I must say.
I adore how much a warrior's acknowledgment is worth in this world. It especially hits hard when Reid of all people does it. Revealing his eye? That was Eight-Arms Kurgan on gorilla steroids. Like damn. Him actually asking for name? Julius just kept taking W's, good for him.
Apologies for the scatterbrained rant. I am going to go back to reading now. I cannot stop, and I cannot wait to see this get adapted.
When the Regulus "consciousness" surfaces
Enough about ReguRein and ReinSuba... I need these two to be high school and college buddies.
seriously. should I to become a ReguSuba guy or smth. make it my entire tumblr persona.
FUCK. I need Hiyoko x OC/Reader fics that genuinely delve deeper into what a slow burn their relationship would be. Does anybody know any? AO3 sure didn't have nuthin' except fer lewd shit.
It's a crying goddamn shame. Hiyoko has the potential to be one of the most layered characters in the franchise, let alone SDR2.
'Cause like a relationship with her would take a lot of time, I feel. It's all about trust and communicaton, and she has a cosmic-sized room for growth to be had in both.
Just imagine all the fun dialouge, too. The quips, the teasing, the banter...! ... And the romance!
Dude. she dances. lots of suggestive remarks to be made.
Also. I feel like if the fic would get that far ahead (42 chapters each with ~11K words give or take) Hiyoko would make for a surprisingly supportive and comforting parental figure. Most definitely struggle greatly at first, but in the good ending(tm) she overcomes her childhood parental issues, and becomes a supermom, or something.
Anyway. Hiyoko is good character. I love her. Pls, to any Hiyoko fan out there: Go pick up a pen. Start writing. No one will write it for You.

SUPER DANGANRONPA ANOTHER 2 FANGAME
What if Danganronpa V3 also had a VOID mechanic similar to SDRA2?
I haven't posted my edits in a while, so here they are now. Some Achievement Artstyle creations I haven't posted yet.
First up, Adachi Toru from Persona 4! Funnily enough, he was the very first Achievement edit I made. Ever.
Based off of his P4AU splash appearance.
The inspiration struck me when I realized I could use "CASUAL MATCHMAKING is SHIT as ALWAYS!" as a username, hence the need for a fitting profile picture. And well, what's more fitting than one in the style of the iconography used in-game?
Next up is the Dragon King of Kamurocho, Kiryu Kazuma! From the Yakuza games.
Based off of the certified classic Yakuza 3 cover art.
redid this fake anime screencap thing i did in 2020 of this scene in killer killer
the bottom 2 r the old version and then the original lmao
If any part of Danganronpa needed an anime adaptation, it was definitely Killer Killer. I propose an alternate world where instead of DR: The Animation or the DR3 anime, we instead had Danganronpa 3: The GAME (and maybe the soundtrack of the THH Anime released as an expansion or something cuz that soundtrack also goes unnoticed despite having some really good songs.)
Imagine, if you will, a 16-22 episode season that shows the batshit crazy people in the world of Danganronpa post-Tragedy through the lens of an infamous serial killer who specifically targets other murderers (Dexter 2006 anyone?) and rates how "passionate" their killing is. All the while, we also get another female protagonist in the role of Asano Misaki, an up-and-coming detective in the Special Crime Investigation Unit -- SCI for short.
The two protagonists grow as people through the cases they solve, grow closer to each other, we'd get fun animated fights like with the bacteria blob, (and not have our apparently OP as hell protag slice them instantly) and like I said, an insight as to how the Tragedy affected the world at large. Or. well. Japan, at least.
If only.
Looks empty, not sure what to add. Maybe a couple of stars, or a brick footpath idk
I need a full-fledged story behind this image so bad, you have no idea
These three together would be so entertaining and interesting to watch I swear. My initial reaction was: "Them?? How? Why? Regulus with other people?? REGULUS WITH CAPELLA??"
I know there's an unspoken rule between all the Archbishops that they never interfere with each other, but I crave for that Capella and Regulus interaction so badly, considering Capella's view about true love being a lie and that people are merely masquerading lust as something else applying perfectly to Regulus who said that love is all about a pretty face and chooses Emilia to be her 79th wife exactly because of that surface-level attraction. But then you could go more in-depth with that since that may be what he said at first, but later kinda contradicts himself (shocker) when he tells Emilia that 'names' are a truly shallow form of relationships (implicitly saying he knows his wives on a much deeper level, so their names shouldn't matter. At least, that's my interpretation.) So then you could highlight how cold Regulus is, how... Passionate? Capella is, and where Subaru fits on that spectrum.
Like, no, really, is this all just Ayamatsu IF fanart or am I missing something??
I finished Volume 9 of RWBY today, and man oh fucking BOY... It was great. Isn't it wonderful what you can achieve when you focus on the character(s) the show was meant to be about in the first place?
So many wonderful moments fresh in my mind still. First off, I loved the decision (and this is a small thing, I know) to not just start off from Ruby's POV, but for her to not speak in the first few minutes. Cause CRWBY's real good at characters who don't talk at all. Speaking of, Neo's here too! Hurray! She brought my favorite (and objectively the best) antagonist back! Yippie!
And did y'all see the setting this time around?? RWBY trapped in a fairy tale world?? "Peak Fiction?!" I screamed aloud at the beautiful vista they showed at the end of episode 1. There's a looootttttaaaa potential here. And they delivered.
Time skip! Herbalist. Gods. Herbalist. I love you. The contrast between R and WBY is another fantastic moment that I'll remember. Just hearing Shadow Ruby (that's her name now you can't change my mind) asking "So? You wanna be a huntress?" with that uncanny, exaggerated cheerful disposition. As if it was mocking the Ruby Rose of today.
Which... leads me to my next point. So. We all know that RWBY Vol. 1-3 is simply the pinnacle of everything. We all read the rules in the Grimmoire when joining the Church of Remnant, and it clearly states that RWBY's first three seasons simply cannot be outmatched. Right? Right.
Anyhooo... I am always reminded by that one scene where Ruby and Jaune talk about being team leaders. Basically, Ruby firmly tells Jaune to man up, and to act like a leader should. And I think about that scene a lot. Every time I see Ruby act in the exact opposite way from Vol. 4 and onwards, I have that scene in the back of my head. As I watched, season after season it felt less and less like RWBY. What I mean by that is, of course, no fight scenes that made me shit my pants or whip my nanaes (Yang vs. Neo, Vytal Festival, the classics) but what was the worst part of it was that I felt less and less like I knew Ruby. The... "Supposed". Main character.
So imagine my joy when we got a character arc FOR RUBY. FUCKING. ROSE.
....And imagine my shock when it turned out not to be an arc. But a full circle.
Last thoughts: I may rewrite this or post another one of these a few years from now where I fully debunk my thoughts in a cohesive, coherent manner and show contextually appropriate images and whatnot but right now I MUST get my thoughts out into the aether. I SIMPLY MUST. Anyyyhooo...
Here's a thought. Isn't it a funny coincidence that RWBY goes downhill the moment Torchwick dies? Then 4-5 seasons of constant Salem (more like Soylem, gotem) and Ozpin and Relics bullshit?
And whaddya know, they do a shorter season again. With only 10 episodes. Focusing mainly on Team. RWBY. The new characters are just enough in quantity, and they've been cooked just right. The climax is approaching, and Neo finds Ruby all alone. And then he appears. The antagonist to have started it all. Suddenly, it makes sense why RWBY's good again.
They brought Roman Torchwick back.
Hail to the king, baby.
Episode 12 of Re:Zero Season 3 was straight-up kino. I cannot express how glad I am for this episode showing the anime-only watchers the disturbing, pitiful, and admittedly hilarious mess that is Regulus Corneas. Hopefully this will lead to more discussion and fanart and all that good stuff spreading around about him (at least on here since the world of Re: Zero is better off without the stain he left on it). His final thoughts (the infamous rant) being animated (him falling into despair) was really strong, and made me understand more of his incredibly twisted worldview. It's one thing reading about it and seeing it animated in such a fucked up yet beautiful way.
His death was deserved, but I'm not gonna lie it was harrowing. (Subaru says hi, by the way.)
Being pummeled, thrown sky-high then struck down into the earth, making your body twist in unusual angles in a really small hole all the while enduring heart pains and in the end drowning/dying of heart failure... Christ, dude. I know it's Regulus, but it's still the kind of death you wouldn't wish on anyone.
...Anyway! Amazing episode. Also, I know he's an exaggeration of narcissism and persecution complex, but it's crazy how familiar some of the things he says is. I've heard people say and act similar before in real life. There truly do exist people like Regulus Corneas out there.
End note: He makes funny faces he is so bean uwu, haha, the scrunkly
they both make funny faces, actually. crazy how similar they are.
I started watching RWBY. Great show! Lovely fight scenes and greatly compelling characters. I especially loved Vol. 1-3. Well, except for the end of that. Currently watching Season 6 because I cannot stop and am already reminiscing about Season 2 as if I watched it years ago, despite it being only three weeks ago.
Anyhooo... I had to find an outlet because my life is now thinking about this show non-stop, and what better way than to make... uh... "profile picture-esque edits" let's call them. In Team Fortress 2's Achievement Artstyle.
Anyhooo... Enjoy!
(yes, TF2 uses a certain art style for its achievement icons. And I am OBSESSED with it.)
(Here is the original for comparison.)
One night I needed a profile picture, so I thought I'd mix two of my hyper-fixations and BAM! These were born. Editing Regulus into the TF2 Achievement Artstyle is so easy and satisfying i love this whiny, pathetic little pissboy loser so much. Thought I'd upload these here in the (admittedly very rare) case anyone else was searching for such a thing.
