On Blakeās birthday this year, it will be the ten year anniversary of when Gwen sang on stage in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Yes, thatās true š„°. Blake had such a great 40th birthday, especially with Gwen singing Hella Good at his concert. It does make you wonder what she might have planned for Blake's 50th. Gwen always finds a way to make his milestones feel special.ā
Closer view of Blake & Gwen hugging after her takeover of his show, June 18, 2016
Since thereās no news about Gwen and Blake, here is a documentary about Gwenās life around 2005. It debuted twenty years ago. Whenever you have a moment, itās really worth watching. Itās fascinating
Anon who thinks Somebody Elseās has something to do with the Kingston situation is likely right. GR obviously didnāt take it lightly. Iām sure he whined to King about how mean she was to release a song about what a narcissist he is. I thought about what would happen with GR when she released it. I loved the song and believe everything she said was true but Iām sure he hated how bad she made him look especially to the boys. The only thing is I canāt believe they didnāt already see for themselves how he treated her. Especially Kingston.
Hereās another perspective, and feel free to agree or disagree with this anon's opinion.

We Can Reach the Stars
We always said we wished we'd met
Long before we finally did
But ever since that firstā kiss
Girl,ā it's felt likeā we were kids and
Who are weā to question
God and his greater plan
You and me are a blessing
And all we gotta do is say amen, amen
And I know we can reach the stars
That's how far my love will go for you
I know we can reach the stars
You've already hung the moon
It isn't always sunny days
Now and then, the thunder rolls but
A little time and a little rain
That's what makes the flowers grow and
Girl I'll pick you daisies
And put them in a mason jar
You know you amaze my heart
You saved my heart
And I know we can reach the stars
That's how far my love will go for you
I know we can reach the stars
You've already hung the moon
You've already hung the moon
That's what you do, girl
I wanna live in a me and you world
I know we can reach the stars
That's how far my love will go for you
I know we can reach the stars
You've already hung the moon
You've already hung the moon

if anyone is interested Tom was on the "Too Young For This Sh*t" podcast with Allie Signorelli. I didn't know Tom was diagnosed at 49 :( talks about his journey and preparing for Coachella and then the Sphere shows (where he has gotten a little worse in those 2 years since Coachella) and his decision to talk about it now publicly. Also the host shares a funny story about meeting Gwen back in 2001 in a hotel bathroom š

Thank you. Iāll definitely take a listen to the podcast. If youāre not interested, feel free to skip this post.
I cannot find the interview where Gavin talks about Gwens parents. I read the writeup of said interview, but didn't hear it live. Interestingly, I've read he has never said anything bad about them, but I will continue to search. It was a few weeks ago. There is an interesting one with some radio station in Missouri from 3 weeks ago. He discusses his atheism. Also keeps referring to his youngest son, the 10 year old and his music interests and the 15 year old and his leanings in music. Guy doesn't even know the ages of his boys. He said their ages several times so it was not a slip of the tongue. Zuma will be 18, should we tell him?
Thanks to @myredredwine for taking the time to find the interview where GR might be talking about Dennis and Patti. Iām impressed, as itās hard for me to listen to any of GRās interviews. I commend your effort. Let us know what you discovered.
āIāve wondered why Kingston didnāt go to the Kids Choice awards show with the other two? Was this his dislike of B dating his mom?ā
NO. Kingston was actually the one who was most attached to Blake in the beginning. It was very clear from all the snaps Gwen was posting at that time. He was at that age where he was really fascinated with Blake and was following him everywhere. He even chose to spend his tenth birthday hanging out on Blakeās ranch and going to his concert. He absolutely loved him from the beginning. Go back and watch the old snapchats ā Gwenssnaps on Twitter is a good source for that. My favorite one was him giving Blake a huge hug when his record went number 1. But there are so many of them (him exploring with Blake in the woods, catching the huge fish, talking excitedly to him while walking on the tarmacā¦..)
I think I found an issue. I answered this and posted. I saw it in the inbox just now and thought it was a duplicate ask which we get from time to time. But I decided to check and I donāt see the ask and what I answered on the feed. So, glad I didnāt just delete.
I had said, there was a snap of King hugging Blake as they all sat around the fire in OK during Snapchat Ranch⦠I think a hug to say congrats on his album⦠so, pretty early on. King obviously loved Blake and felt totally comfortable with him quickly. I think the kids saw their mom go from tents and sad to happy and laughing with Blake. I think they all loved him very early on. But on the other side, I believe GR was making them feel very guilty and making himself into a huge victim that the kids felt like they had to help.

Okay I have a question. I love the visuals and costumes Gwen created for their Sphere show. I am confused though because I donāt understand her visuals for SKOL. In my top five songs for sure but didnāt get the visuals. I wished they wouldāve used her parents or something and I wished they wouldāve been able to do something with Eric. Can you clarify or give me your opinion.
If I had to guess based on your question, it sounds like you might be newer to No Doubtās music, because the visuals actually make a lot of sense once you understand the song. Gwen wrote āSimple Kind of Lifeā during a period when she was questioning where she was in her life. She was coming off the massive success of Tragic Kingdom and feeling confused ā she thought sheād end up with a simple life and with simple man, but her career pulled her in a completely different direction.
Itās a really sad, vulnerable song, and the visuals reflect that. They help tell the story of Gwen imagining a different life than the one she was living at the time, almost like sheās looking through a window at the version of herself she thought sheād be before No Doubt took off.
Hereās a video of Gwen and Tom talking about writing and creating āSimple Kind of Life.ā And if anyone else has thoughts or context to add, feel free to jump in
Disclaimer: My husband told me this. He said his friends said Caesarās Palace has been sold. They are all big gamblers though so it might be true. At the very least it should be able to be verified. If true it would likely affect any future Blake residencies there.
This is the first Iām hearing this. If anyone has any information on this, please share.
Caesars Entertainment Enters Into Agreement to Be Acquired by Fertitta Entertainment | Caesars Entertainment, Inc.
Don't know that would affect any residencies. Doesn't appear it's closing down.
Ok, Iām the person that originally sent in that ask about her cousin that is working on the Dorothy project. I come here all the time and have been a member of the shefani family since the very beginning and I find it highly offensive to be considered a troll when I was just trying to share information that I was privy to. I normally know nothing to share and I happened to know something about this because of a family connection. I did not say it wasnāt going ahead permanently, all I said was that it had stalled temporarily which nothing Lee said actually disputes that. My cousin was working in the preproduction and all I was doing was passing on what I had been told by her which was the project was temporarily stalled and hopefully would pick back up at some point in the future. Thatās actually exactly what Lee said, he said they were waiting for the first script. It actually sounds like itās exactly in the same place as it was a couple of months ago when I talked to my cousin. I also didnāt say anything about Blake not having other projects with the production company, all I commented on was on the Dorothy project. I know nothing about any other projects. And again, it doesnāt seem to be moving at any high speeds which is all my cousin had told me. Lee actually made it sound like they were much busier on other projects right now and like the focus was certainly not on the Dorothy project. I love Gwen and Blake and I donāt understand why I was considered a troll just because some people didnāt like the information that I offered. It wasnāt even bad info.ļæ¼
Thank you for responding, anon. Iām genuinely glad you came back to explain your side of things regarding your cousin and the original post. And Iām happy youāre part of the Shefani fanbase truly.
Like I mentioned before, Iāve tried to continue the tradition that @ourpickwickclub had of sharing tips or possible news when something might be happening. Iām sorry that you felt hurt, because I know you were trying to share what youād been told. And as you said, youāve been on Tumblr long enough to know that anytime someone shares insider info, thereās always a 50/50 chance it could be right or wrong. Without evidence, itās also easy for people to assume it might be trolling thatās just the nature of this space.
That being said, what youāre saying now is very different from what you originally wrote on April 21. You stated: āMy cousin was working on the Dorothy project in preproduction and development and unfortunately Blakeās production company decided to not move forward with itā¦ā Iāll put the full post below so you can reread it. I just wish the wording had been clearer at the time, because it wouldāve helped people understand it as a āwaitingā situation ā the same way Lee described it.
My only real issue is that you didnāt come forward sooner to clarify. Leeās interview was published on May 5, which was three weeks ago. The interviewer, Tori Kruse & Lee Metzger, only reposted it on their IG story two days ago, and thatās how all of us found out. In that interview, Lee clearly said that Dorothy was sold to Amazon, theyāre waiting on the first script, and he explained it very plainly & simple
Unfortunately, anon, your original post did end up misleading people even if that wasnāt your intention. I hope you can see that now. Let's move forward .
š¬ 1Ā Ā š 0Ā Ā ā¤ļø 2Ā Ā·Ā My cousin was working on the Dorothy project in preproduction and development and unfortunately Blakeās production company
Where is that anon who claimed their cousin worked on pre production for Dorothy and was told it wasnāt going forward? Now we have Lee Metzger saying they are waiting on the first script and itās definitely going forward. Guess that cousin was wrong. š¤£š¤£Seems like someone doesnāt like the idea of Blake and Gwen working together. Meanwhile a big reason Blake agreed to do Vegas now is so he and Gwen can sleep together every night. š
I understand why everyone is upset about the anon who said their family member worked on the project and claimed Blakeās production company wouldnāt be moving forward with it. Iām adding the original post below for anyone who wants to revisit what was said.
I can only speak for myself, but I do want to apologize to anyone who believed that post. I go back and forth all the time about what to share and what to hold back. I'd like to continue the tradition that @ourpickwickclub had of sharing tips or possible news about our favorites when something might be happening. I always tried to make it clear in my responses that I was posting the ask, and I left it to everyone to decide how to interpret it. It was also easier to believe at the time because Blake announced "Godās Country" back in 2019, and that project never moved forward.
That said, Iām genuinely relieved that Lee confirmed Dorothy is still happening, that theyāre just waiting on a script, and that he seems excited about several upcoming projects that will be announced soon.

Plus King keeps posting going to all these other concerts while proudly admitting heās not going to his own motherās historic show. That has to hit hard for her, especially the week of his birthday when sheās not allowed to see him and probably didnāt even get to talk to him because heās ironically decided sheās a problem in his life, despite her being his biggest blessing. Any type of distance from your children hurts a mamaās heart deeply, especially when theyāre alone and have quiet moments to reflect.ļæ¼
I really believe he is going to regret it one day.
Not only he will regret it personally for canceling out his mother who deeply loves him from his life but he is also hurting his future as a musician as well. Kingston may not realize how much he is hurting his chances of becoming a famous musician, but by ignoring any affiliation with his motherās music, which is legendary, especially hits like āDonāt Speakā which is praised by all people in music- (actually I bet his mother will probably be inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in the future) - and by him not being open to attending any No Doubt shows, which is seen by super famous musicians and celebrities as a Must-Go-Show, and him canceling out artists and song writers who are in Nashville he is already hurting his chances of learning and mingling with half the music industry! This is not opening him up creatively- he is becoming the opposite of what was his motherās ultimate biggest strength: ā which was āto not be pinned down into any genre of musicā and āto be completely open to work with all kinds of artistsā. This alone is what made Gwen so prolific in music and so famous - she was ALWAYS completely open creatively. ā Kingston seems to be doing the opposite of that! If I were to bet, I think Zuma has much better chances to grow as an artist than King has, just because he is so open to different experiences even if he likes country music the best, he will attend all kinds of shows and learn from different types of music and artists. Thatās how creative people expand and grow. You must have a free and open sponge-like mindset to grow as an artist. If Gwen was that close-minded she wouldnāt have become the absolute legend that she is. GR is a perfect example of someone in a band who only stayed in his lane with BUSH and unlike Cold Play and other more prolific bands, didnāt grow and still till this day, is pinned to the 90s post grunge era and nothing more.
The boys are definitely in Vegas with Gwen. Zuma is on the floor proudly taking a video of his mom and a packed house during āJust a girlā
