Are there going to be otome type endings in the school au? And if there are how would the others react?

I originally intended the ending (if there’s going to be one, I haven’t decided) to be an open one, meaning not specifying who reader ends up with. Just leaving it up to interpretation of who reader ends up with. Though if you guys are up to having otome endings I will write them, I’ll even learn how to use Glimmer fics if there’s overwhelming interest for them (just don’t expect them anytime soon). As for how the characters would react I would say generally they would be heartbroken, but with certain dynamics things would be a lot messier. I would go into other characters reactions if I do end up writing the otome endings

Well how would genshin Academy react to a aroace or demi aromantic y/n?

With an aroace reader all of your admirers will be disappointed but as stated before they all fell in love with you for you. Some will look on the bright side, you don’t have to choose someone and that someone not being them. However for a demi aromantic reader, the race for your heart will still continue. Anyone you choose to be with will feel honored because despite all of the friends you made, you formed a deep connection with them and choose to be in a romantic relationship with them

I am not shaming, nor am I calling anyone out. I don't shame people for what they like because I hate it when people do it to me. This is more of a me thing. Obviously, I scroll because if something is for me, I don't have to read it. But sometimes I don't catch it. Im a control freak and hate being wrong. So the idea of someone taming me into submission because I'm being mean, and I have no reason to be mean. Irks something in me that I don't know how to fully express. The idea of being called a brat triggers my fight or flight.

It’s summer and I have to get myself a new swimsuit, I feel like having Hu Tao help pick out a swimsuit is going to be a disaster. She would grope her girlfriend in the changing room then convince her the top doesn’t fit so she has to continue looking for one and Hu Tao gets to continue feeling her girlfriend up under the excuse she’s ‘helping’.

When you go into the changing rooms to try them on, Hu Tao would very sneakily walk close to you from behind so she can slip by the store clerk. She has this mischievous, almost perverse grin in her eyes as she enters the changing room with you, locking the door shut before rubbing her hands together like an evil fly.

She’ll have you try one pieces, two pieces, bikinis. She wants to see you in them all. Her personal favorite are the bikinis for obvious reasons, and once you put them on she’ll slip her hands under your armpits to give your chest a good squeeze.

“Hu Tao…!”

“I’m just checking for firmness,” she giggles, squeezing them once more. “Hmm, could opt for something thinner.”

Letting your girlfriend tag along was a mistake lmao. You’ll try on different swimsuits and ask what Hu Tao’s opinion is on them, to which the Funereal Director just goes “You look sexy in all of them, babe!” It really isn’t helping, she just drools over every single one of them and makes grasping motions with her hands so she can cop a feel.

Also if you ask her to help you tie any strings, Hu Tao would purposely tie them as loose as possible so they could slip sometimes, before tying them properly the second time. She’s so annoying when she wants to see boobs that badly. If only Hu Tao knows that she doesn’t need to be sneaky to get her girlfriend to flash her, you would drop the top in a heartbeat for her.

🐕 Cyno admires that you’re committed to protecting others from beings he can’t begin to comprehend. As he read on it became clear that the path you choose isn’t a kind or forgiving one, but you push on seeing your duty as a noble purpose

🧸 When she was in Mondstadt, she was introduced to the series by Amber and thus has fond memories of it

🧸 Your resolve to protect others and still have hope even when things seemed impossible touched a part of her heart she thought was closed off. Even when the reality of going on the path you went in slowly sets in, you still face your destiny head on with little fear

🧸 Your hope actually inspired Collei to have a more hopeful outlook on life. If you can have hope for the future when you’re facing monsters that threaten to destroy anything in its path even you, then she can have it too. Though she’s not facing monsters like the ones you fight, but the sentiment is there

🧸 Thankfully your stories come in various media forms, her favorite being the comics. Since they’re a lot easier to read and comprehend, but she would be lying if she didn’t say that your stories inspired Collei to learn how to read more. Especially knowing that the novels contain big words, so she doesn’t have to constantly be asking Tighnari what they mean

🪲 Your series holds a special place in his heart, when he was younger he stumbled across an abandoned book from your series. Once he read it, he was blown away

🪲 The advice and encouragement that are found in your story fills him with such resolve that it makes him want to be the best he can be

🪲 He’s such a fan that it crushes him every time the publisher does promotions for your series and they run out of merchandise. Even though he asked the guy behind the counter if he can hold it for him, but every time they sell it! Times like these makes him want to have powers like yours so he can do commissions in space for some quick cash

Fischl

🐦‍⬛ As someone who loves various stories (she even based her persona around one of the books she grew up on), Fischl loves your series.

🐦‍⬛ She admires the bravery and compassion you exhibit. The bravery you show when you fight enemies that can devour entire worlds and the compassion you show to others when you console them after they were so close to losing everything inspires the young teen

🐦‍⬛ Not only that, you’re able to make friends on almost every planet you and your team visit. Everyone you meet loves you and don’t find you annoying. You’re everything she wants to be, or at least have in a friend

🐦‍⬛ Since Fischl doesn’t have many friends she often doesn’t have anyone to talk to about anything relating to your series, even when she tried talking to her peers about your series they only found her to be weird. Oh how she wishes she can be choosen by the entity that gave you powers and to be one of your teammates, she knows that you won’t find her weird and that you would be her friend. She just knows it

Albedo

🧪 Albedo originally had no interest in your series, but since Klee is a huge fan of your series, he’s a huge fan of your series. He picked up one of your books to understand what Klee was talking about and he can see why she loves it

🧪 He later picked up the books that were aimed at an older audience and saw how much more interesting it was, especially the lore of series. Every time a question gets answered 10 more questions pop up. He eats up every bit and hint the series has and makes theories about what might happen, some times with accuracy

🧪 Not to mention Albedo is fascinated by the science and philosophy. How planets are vastly different from Teyvat and why they’re different. With the philosophy Albedo finds himself thinking about what was written in the word bubbles. Talks about humanity, consciousness, divinity, etc. He wants to learn the truth of your world just like he wants to learn the truth of Teyvat

🧪 When Albedo is not admiring the complexity of your series he finds himself drawing the alien scenery from your comics, he just finds it strange yet beautiful. However most of his sketches are of you, he even makes fanart for both Klee and Durin

Furina

🎩 As someone who has a love for the dramatic, it would be crazy for her to not have picked up your series

🎩 She fell in love with it immediately and didn’t stop talking about it to Neuvilette for weeks on end. Don’t think that after she stepped down from being an archon she wouldn’t still talk anyone’s ear off

🎩 She doesn’t know if she wants to be you or be with you. You’re just so strong in the face of adversity. The times where you faced against destiny inspired Furina to keep up her facade for her people

🎩 In her private time, Furina writes fanfics about you. It varies of either you two hanging out or her being a choosen one as well. Most she shares with the fan club, but others are just for her (she’s just too embarrassed to show anyone)

Childe

🐋 His siblings actually got him into the series, both Teucer and Tonia love your stories and won’t stop talking about it to him in their letters or whenever he visits home

🐋 When he was planning to get some issues for his siblings, he actually picked up the first volume of the series and read it. Mainly to make sure it’s appropriate for them. After he was done with the first book, he bought whatever he could carry back to his quarters

🐋 He was intrigued by the action in the first volume. Reading you flying around, dodging the monster’s attacks with expertise amazed him. Never would have imagined that he would have been entertained by reading fights

🐋 He loves to see what other powerful entities you would face. Seeing you fight beings that have abilities he never imagined. Beings that are straight out of nightmares that make the abyss monsters look like nursery toys

Yae Miko

⛩️ The boss and owner of the Yae Publishing House and so of course knows all about you and your adventures. Though, she isn’t aware of who writes your series

⛩️ The Guuji finds the stories of some humans to be entertaining, especially ones who shine brightly and you just so happen to shine brighter than the ones she has seen written on paper. Reading about a group of people blessed with immense power to stave off dark forces all throughout the cosmos all while visiting different worlds, now this is something definitely worth her time

⛩️ Reading about you and your tribulations is a lot more interesting than she originally thought. She might even say that this is the first series that has fully captured her attention in years. Yae has had her writers and editors look at your series as an example of how to make an interesting story, she believes that your series has save the quality of writing in other stories

⛩️ Often times when the Publishing house holds promotions for your series, whether it being limited book covers or little figures. Yae is the first one to snag the products, mainly as a subtle brag to others that she has your latest merch. It’s even more fun when she tells a certain white haired oni that she got your limited edition figure

Zhongli

🐉 He didn’t initially pick up your books himself, Hu Tao made him pick up some for her. After she was done reading them, she urged Zhongli to read it and was instantly hooked on it

🐉 Was impressed by the battles where you go up against monsters that make the gods and other beings he have fought during his time as archon look weak in comparison. Not only did the fights interest him, he found your leadership skills despite being young and inexperienced to be a very interesting duality of your character

🐉 The more he read the more he grew to love your character, even in the face of evil and an unforgiving life you still choose to be as compassionate as you can be. Never giving up and often times being a beacon of hope for your teammates and others

🐉 Your backstory of making a “contract” in order to have a new life fighting darkness reminded him of a certain yaksha. Maybe he should recommend the series to him, he might enjoy it

Accountant! Reader who has been keeping their head down at work. Making sure they do not get on anyone’s bad side as they want to be able to live a quiet life of luxury and know the risks of making mistakes as a member of the Fatui.

Accountant! Reader who’s done the math, and only needs to work for a few more years to be able to retire and have that quiet life they always dreamed of. They are a hard worker and have been working towards this goal for years.

Accountant! Reader who notices a discrepancy in the bank logs and brings it up to their superior. 

Accountant! Reader who then finds themself in the Regrator’s office a week later to explain the discrepancy they noticed. 

Accountant! Reader who then receives a massive raise as well as praise from the Regrator because it is “rare to find such loyalty in the realm of banking.”

Accountant! Reader who is confused, but accepts the raise and tries (key word, tries) to continue doing their job normally only to be suddenly promoted to work more closely with Pantalone.

Accountant! Reader who is very stiff for the first few months of working with him, going home and chanting to themself ‘its only for another year,’ only to become more comfortable as they work together longer. 

Accountant! Reader who is surprised when during a late night at the bank while going through different logs and tables, Pantalone tells them to stop calling him “my lord,” claiming it was too formal for his tastes and insists that they instead just call him Pantalone. 

Accountant! Reader who struggles the first few times the name feeling foreign on their tongue, but eventually adjusts to it, not noticing the way he begins slipping in small pet names into their conversations. A small ‘dear,’ ‘doll,’ or ‘my gem,’ said with such softness initially that they question if they misheard, and then with such normalcy that they don’t question it any longer. 

Accountant! Reader who goes into Pantalone’s office upon finding a brand new coat on their desk asking why there was a coat there. Only for Pantalone to shrug off their questions, telling them their old coat is too worn and wouldn't be able to properly keep them warm; feigning how he wouldn't want them to catch a cold in the Snezhnayan winter, which begins the saga of him giving them gifts. 

It started practical, things he could excuse as him looking out for his employees. A coat, a pair of gloves and a hat to match it. A new pair of boots finding its way to their desk when they almost slipped on the ice on the way back from a lunch. 

Then it began to shift into gifts that they couldn't excuse as their boss just ‘being nice.’ 

Jewelry that he said complemented their eyes. Teas and desserts from across Teyvat from his travels because he “thought you might enjoy it.”

Accountant! Reader who tries to maintain professionalism with the first few gifts, trying to return them to him as they couldn’t accept such a thing from their boss. Only for Pantalone to claim faux hurt, he was just trying to be a good boss couldn't you see? Or when that explanation didn't work he’d claim that he couldn’t return these as the stores wouldn’t accept returns. 

Accountant! Reader who stares at the gifts that adorn their kitchen table, (what else were they supposed to do with them?) mourning the fact that they would be resigning soon to their early retirement. 

Accountant! Reader who paces in the hall outside of Pantalone’s office for 15 minutes before going in and handing him their letter of resignation. They rationalized their decision to themself, they couldn’t in good conscience continue to accept the gifts, and now they can finally go live the quiet life of luxury they’ve been working for and pushing off. 

Accountant! Reader who is surprised at Pantalone’s professionalism in response to their resignation letter, making a joking comment about he will be envious of their newfound freedom from the confines of the bank asking only for them to call him by his name the next time they see one another. 

Accountant! Reader who accepts his terms and leaves the bank, only to be surprised to see him a few days later at the open market by your home. 

Pantalone! Feofan who tuts at you when you go to call him Pantalone, prompting you to bashfully call him by his true name Feofan.

Accountant! Reader who becomes accustomed to seeing Feofan on your outings to the market, and inviting him into your home to warm up from the Snezhnayan cold. 

Feofan who smiles at you and agrees, carrying your groceries for you in one hand the other on the small of your back as you two walk to your house. 

Feofan who mutters under his breath about how you deserve more than these simple luxuries, pulling you into an embrace in your house. 

Bonus!

Pantalone who was upset to see you leave the bank but sees it as a blessing in disguise because now he can finally approach you romantically as he’s been dreaming of for months now.

Pantalone who stared at the small box on his desk every day at the bank, praying to archons he’d long since stopped believing in that you’d say yes.

When I first made this au I envisioned reader to be either bi or pan, just to not leave anyone out (except the little kids)

Everyone will be supportive of you if you come out as gay or something along those lines, they all like you for you and feel blessed to be your friend

Depending on your orientation, half of your admirers would be a bit heartbroken. If you do admit you like girls, then your female admirers would be ecstatic, whereas your male admirers would be so dispirited. The girls would try to find ways to win you over. Many with some help from their male friends
