Rest in Peace, Francis Lapointe (aka Frank Wolf) who committed suicide on Nov. 25th 2013. He was an exquisite model, loved to cosplay and was bullied for cross dressing and simply being who he was and doing what he loved to do. I wish he could’ve listened to every single person who admired him and loved him. Let this influence you to love yourself for who you are, not what society thinks or what others think. Influence others that they are beautiful inside and out and that suicide is NEVER the answer.

We lost a beautiful person along with Paul Walker this month. Best wishes to his family, friends, and his fans.

It has come to my attention that you are selling THIS shirt.

At first glance, I thought it was going to be a nice shirt. But no, they’re displaying what the majority of the community despises, myself included. Cosplay is not defined by how well you can pull it off, what your body type is, even by what race you are. It’s not all about competitions or popularity contests. Cosplay is about having fun—taking the time to make, alter, or even buy the things needed for a character that you want to portray. It’s about making friends, and enjoying a hobby that you can share with other people.

Needless to say, I will likely not be returning to any Hot Topic any time soon.

This pisses me off to no end. Fuck whoever made this shirt. There is no “right” way to cosplay. Is the “right” way to these people a super model looking woman with DD’s cosplaying poison ivy? Or a buff man with a six pack cosplaying Commander Shepard? There is nothing wrong with that in itself, I’m just saying that some people think thats the only good type of cosplay. As many of you know, the Philippines were absolutely ravaged this past weekend by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiya). The death toll is expected to surpass 10,000. Beyond that, millions are without food, water, shelter. A state of calamity has been issued. Things are grim. What many of you may NOT know, is that the Philippines is the second-largest readership of JL8, only surpassed by the US. Not that I wouldn’t step in for a tragedy of this magnitude regardless, but as such, it hits a little bit closer to home than most. All that being said, I’m offering a wallpaper/cover photo bundle pack at my webstore for purchase. All proceeds will be donated to UNICEF Philippines, whose goal is to primarily assist the children affected by this disaster. Obviously, the timeline photo has been posted up right here, and you can use it if you want without donating anything, and that’s fine.
