Last Line Tag
I was tagged by @goblin-writer to share the last line(s) I’ve written and I happen to be working on Glory Days today. I know you’re supposed to just put one line and then tag as many people as there are words, but I’m not going to do that because I just really like how this turned out together.
We were twenty-one days at sea, all told, when we made port in Melfin. I’d been to Melfin once before, in the early days of my career, when travel there was as simple as some coin in the coffers of the mage tower and a rousing speech about the dangers of putting any part of your body outside of the teleportation circle. You could always tell the people who didn’t listen particularly well by their missing fingers, or worse. Magic could heal that injury, sure, but the mages on the receiving end of the teleport were generally loathe to do so.
