Sheās a maniac, maniac, on the floor
šÆš”Spirits of the Householdš” šÆ
š”First, let me tell you that this is 100% based on my own experiences, and what was passed down to me from my family. It doesnāt have to apply to you too, but I hope other people find this useful!š”
šÆ In my tradition, everything has energy, specifically, life energy. This ālife energyā, however you may want to call it, itās what makes us alive, but also what gives life and spirit to inanimate objects, like a crystal, a book, or a house. All matter has the ability to retain ālife energyā, as long as thereās a āsystemā in which this life energy can flow, since this particular type of energy isnāt static. In us living beings, itās what we call energy centers or chakras (if youāre an hinduist or buddhist). In inanimate objects, it honestly depends on itās structure, but since here weāre talking about a home spirit, itās ability to let energy flow through, itās on itās rooms and hallways.
šÆ Now, y'know how people can be possessed? Same with places. Spirits are basically life energy without matter attached to them, even though they can manipulate matter, and thus they can āuseā any material thing, or being, if theyāre strong enough, as a vessel. Possessing a person itās hard because that person already has itās own life force/energy, but a house? That has not been blessed and named correctly? Wouldnāt have itās own life force, and thus itās perfect prey.
šÆ Like I said before, all matter, and thus all places, have the ability to retain life energy. This is how spirits can attach themselves to a house, willingly or not, and get a house āhauntedā. Now, even if no spirit is attached to a house, if you donāt bless your home, whatever energy enters the system will still get attached, whether itās good or bad. Thatās why you should cleanse your home energetically often. But, thereās another way to protect your home, and get yourself a friend or ally too: and thatās blessing and naming your home.
šÆ This is not an easy ritual, but itās extremely effective. You basically breathe life, using your own life force, or that of certain offerings, or that invoked to be used through Deities, and awaken the house. Plan beforehand. Where each āenergy centerā will be, how energy is supposed to flow and why you want it to flow that way. Make a map of your house and identify how you can use that structure as a ābodyā. After youāve decided, you can go to step two: preparing the house.
šÆ To prepare your home, make sure everything is nice and tidy, and that itās physically clean. Then, Iād normally do a deep energetic cleansing ceremony, to make sure itās perfectly clean of all malicious energy.
šÆ Once youāve done that, protect your home, set up the wards, and then bless it. Walk through the house in the same way energy should flow through it, bless each room and breathe life on them. Use your favorite tools or none, chants or prayers too. Give the rooms and hallways a purpose. What energy center will be there and how it is going to transform or use energy, and for what purpose. Is that the cleaning center of the house? Or is it the heart? What kind of energies will you be able to access there?
šÆ This doesnāt have to be extremely specific, since once itās awaken, the home will do the rest. You gotta leave place for the system to adjust itself.
šÆAlso, take into consideration that youāll need a lot of energy to awaken a whole house, or even an apartment, so while with smaller things like a book or figurine you could use your own life force, itās highly recommended to call on deities or āhigher beingsā, to bring you that life force instead of fueling it with your own.
šÆ At the end, the home will feel different, conscious. Thereās a chance youāll receive an image? Or sound? That just feels like this homeās new energy. Thatās the name.
šÆWhenever you get home, acknowledge your Home Spirit, call them by name, say hi. Donāt be afraid to talk to them, itāll strengthen the bond between you two. I also recommend to set up a small home altar, somewhere where the heart would go, mostly for offerings or to give the Home Spirit more strength.

a spell to make a home cozier
here is a little ritual you can do to bring warmth, joy and harmony to a home to make it feel cozier and more welcoming. best done during a full moon, but you can do it any time. you will need:
ā¾ a small bowl of ceramic, wood or glass
ā¾ a clove of garlic (bringing warmth + togetherness to a home)
ā¾ a sprinkle of lavender flowers (tranquility and calm)
ā¾ a sprig of pine (home blessing, cleansing, grounding)
ā¾ a brown candle (home and hearth magick)
sit in the main area of your home. light your brown candle; sit comfortably on the floor or couch and meditate on the candle for a while. warm your hands with its flame.
set the offering bowl in front of the candle. take the garlic clove in your hands and visualize the way you want your home to feel: warm, lived-in and welcoming. warm the clove over the candle-flame briefly and set it in the bowl.
take your lavender flowers in your hands. close your eyes, take a deep breath and inhale the scent of them. let it calm you, as it will calm the energy of your home. place the flowers atop the garlic.
lastly, take the sprig of pine. use it like a wand; point it toward all four corners of the room youāre in. place it against your heart, and set it in the bowl.
whisper to the bowl: āmay your magick bless this home with kindness and warmth.ā blow out the candle; place the bowl on a windowsill, mantle, or coffee table for three nights. on the third night, sprinkle its contents outside your front door.

Nourishing hair oil
Iāve been using this for awhile now and it makes my hair feel rather soft than before. I have also noticed my trimmed sides are growing a lot more which is great!
Recipe:Ā
5 drops Lavender essential oil (Helps to improve scalp health, helps hair growth and also helps to reduce stress!)
5 drops Peppermint essential oil (also helps with hair growth and gives a nice cooling feeling on your scalp.)
10 drops of Rosemary essential oil (Helps the growth and thickness of your hair.)
Carrier oil (I used olive oil infused with rose, but coconut oil would probably be better)
Mix it all together and use daily. You can put it in your hair before or after you get out of the shower as well. You could also say a chant!

š§Of The Water Bornš§
š We depend on water for our very existence, so itās no surprise that people have long attributed magical and divine properties to water. The wordĀ āmerā comes from the Old English mere, meaning sea. In French, the word for sea sea is mer and the word for mother is mere, suggesting that the sea is mother to us all. š And as the sea nurtures people from all cultures and walks of life,so, in one form or another, do mermaids appear in virtually all cultures past and presentā and their stories are as colorful as the people who tell them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Ancient Greeks Called Her Sea Goddess:
š§ According to the Roman poet Ovidās epic Metamorphoses, when the Trojansā ships burned during the Trojan War. their wood transformed into the bodies of sea goddesses- or as Ovid described them, theĀ āgreen daughters of the seaā- and mermaids were born.
The Celts Called Her Merrow:
š§ Merrow comes from muir, meaningĀ āsea,ā and oigh, meaningĀ āmaidā. An Irish legend says pagan women became mermaids when St.Patrick chased them from the land in the process of converting Ireland from the Old Religion to Christianity.
The Latvians call her nara, and the Estonians call her nakineitsi
š§Ā According to the folklore of the indigenous people of Latvia and Estonia, children who were drowned in the Red Sea by the Pharaoh morphed into mermaids. š§Ā The question of how mermaids came into being may never be answered- but that,too, is part of their mystery and mystique.
š§Ā THE MERMAIDS OF NOAHāS ARK š§
Merfolk even appear in the beloved Bible story of Noahās Ark, according to Christian Mythology of the infamous flood. A fifteenth-century illustration from notable Nuremberg Bible pictures a mermaid, a merman, and even a merdog swimming besides Noahās Ark.
šµTea Cup Spreadšµ
Awhile ago I saw a morning coffee spread that was kind of a more extensive look at a ādaily drawā. Iām pretty fuzzy with the spread but liked the core of it so I wanted to do my own take of it;
The Cup Half Full
The first two cards of the spread make up the base of this reading. This is your āteaā so to say. These are things you have been working on improving and are accomplishing.
Take time to reward yourself for your hard work, you should always be proud of your successes no matter what they are.
The Cup Half Empty
These two cards represent the room left in your mug the āemptinessā but donāt worry thats not a bad thing! These are things you still need to work on or require new focus.
My Handle on Things
The final card can go on either side, and represents your current state or the state in which you may be if you donāt make the improvements you need.
Some Sekhmet sketches, my favorite Egyptian goddess (ok Iām lying I love them all)
