OVER THE GARDEN WALL (2014) Chapter 7: The Ringing of the Bell
Making Dundee Marmalade - Felicity House , 2025.
British , b. 1950 -
Pastel on paper , 37 x 52 cm.
This time of year, when the flowers start blossoming and people start coming out of their shell you can expect rain. Rain that comes without warning and gets you in the middle of your day. It has been raining every day in the most random moments. I am growing to love it, rain showers that come for twenty minutes then leave. I spent the day running errands for work, it was hot and sunny. I am now back home preparing to cook a steak and the rain is pouring. I love spring.
Everyone talks about enchanted woods and mystical mountains. The wise know that magic lives under desert skies.

saw this massive onion bigger than my entire hand in the produce aisle and immediately snatched it up solely to weigh it and a guy across the aisle asked how much it weighed because he was curious as well and when i told him it was two pounds he excitedly was like “it’s like the biggest one i’ve ever seen..” humanity rocks moment. bonding with strangers over giant onion
