☘️ What was your luckiest secondhand find?

my TY magic the dragon beanie buddy, for sure! for those who don’t know, some beanie babies got made into larger, cuddlier counterparts called beanie buddies, including magic the dragon! most beanie buddies are very easy to find, but magic is an exception. magic beanie buddies have a manufacturing error that makes their crinkly wings kinda gross and sticky, so their production was ended early. because of this, she’s pretty rare and can be pricey. as for how i got mine: i live near a flea market with a beanie baby booth, and i happened to be there purchasing one on the same day the booth’s owner was in the shop. he asked me if i had any beanie babies i was looking for, and since he’s had every other beanie i’ve wanted, including my other dragons, i figured i’d ask him if he had the magic beanie buddy. to my surprise, he did! so we arranged a time to meet at the shop later, and i picked up my girl for a pretty reasonable price (i paid $50, she is usually well above $70 online)! talking to the right people can bring about amazing things!

⁉️ What's the strangest plushie you own?

i don’t typically post my fandom-related plushies here aside from pokemon, but i will make an exception for the strangeness that is my bean-shaped gold ship plushie (from umamusume). need i say more?

🪪 Favourite method of coming up with names?

there’s honestly no rhyme or reason to my plush names 😅 i’m really bad at coming up with them on the fly, so i’ll often go with the name of a food (like my leafeon bok choy) or ask a friend for suggestions. sometimes i’ll just stew on it for a while and eventually a name will show up somewhere that i find perfect! it helps if the plush has its roots in a certain theme. for example: i give all my medieval dragons real medieval names, such as wulfrun, feodor, and leoric!

If you could have any plush custom made for you what would you get?

my two favorite critters to collect aside from pokemon are dragons and thylacines, so i’d choose one of those two! for example: the artist Micknagerie creates incredibly stunning plushies, including those two animals, and it’s exactly what i’d want as a custom plush! the colorful, dynamic designs and the wide array of textures is everything to me :)

🐕‍🦺 Would you consider any of your plushies "emotional support plushies?"

while all of my plushies fulfill some sort of emotional need for me, the one i would most consider a traditional “emotional support plushie” is my wolf, cecil (dlux smoke wolf by douglas)! he’s a great size for both carrying around and cuddling, something that’s important to me. his fur is a fantastic texture (especially the gray, it’s my favorite ever) which is grounding and nice to pass my hands through. i’m also fond of how pleasant his face looks- very impressive detailing! all of these factors make for an awesome emotional support pal!

⌛ Who is the oldest plush you own? Who's the newest?

there’s two ways i can answer this, so i’ll do both! the oldest in terms of production date is this very tiny sea lion (yet to be named) made by small of the wild in 1991! a lucky thrift find! the newest in terms of production date is a tie between my sleeping espeon (wisteria) and this leafeon (bok choy) both from this year, 2026!

now: the oldest plush in terms of how long i’ve had them is my ikea dolphin, ike! he’s actually a runner up for the previous part of this question since he was made in 1992! he was given to me by a family friend probably at ages 4-5, and is the only plush from that time i’ve managed to hold onto. my most recent plushie acquisition is my floragato, cabbage! another welcome addition to my pokemon army.
