Hanger PSA
I just read a post about how a lifter here conceals hangers (I literally just read it and then now I canât find it, sorry) by pinning them to her back.
I just want to warn everyone to check hangers thoroughly. I was at a store that i frequent (for actual shopping) not to long ago just browsing, and I happened to pick up a shirt and look it over. For some reason I decided to take a peek at the hanger (shouldnât have done this on the floor but curiosity got the better of me) and I noticed a small hole in the bottom of this wooden hanger. The thicker plastic ones had them too.
For some reason it struck me as odd, so I looked closer and there was a very faint flashing light inside the hole. I ended up taking it to try on so I could look closer. The fitting room was dark so I took the opportunity to ask the attendant why the hanger was flashing. She was okay talking to me because I always chat people up and make friends with atrendants.
ITâS A GPS TRACKER. Itâs like those little tags you can get to put on your things and use an app to find where they are!! Not only will it set off the alarm, but they can pull up a program to see where it is.
Then she said they are working towards getting more discreet ones that are basically undetectable. Theyâre expensive but they have helped catch more people.
I left after chatting with her and got curious. I went into several other stores and 5/7 of them had some kind of security device on the hanger. Whether it was just a soft tag or a full on GPS tracker.
Itâs becoming more common in my mall because itâs near a few high schools so the theft rate is really high.
What Iâm trying to say is BE CAREFUL.
BOOST BOST BOOST OMG
Wowww. I almost always take the hangers too because I donât want to leave evidence. Can you describe what the hangers looked like? Where they clear? Plastic? Would?
WTF. Lifting the hanger is one of my favorite techniques. I usually ditch it in the bushes outside of the store anyway, but I will start checking them because this is crazy
TAKE THE HANGERS. Donât LEAVE EVIDENCE. DUMP IN A NEAR BY DUMPSTER OF A DIFFERENT STORE! MAKE SURE THERE ARE NOT CAMS WATCHING THE DUMPSTERS.

đ§đ»ââïžâš Hair Color Lift List âšđ§đ»ââïž
Iâm adding in all basic supplies needed to lighten or color your hair! You can tweak this to your needs. As always, if you canât find this in store, you can always scam!
Lightening powder/bleach
20 Volume developer
30 Volume developer
Wella T-18 toner
Hair coloring bowls (must measure ounces, plastic or glass)
Mini whisk (totally optional, this or the brush will be fine to mix the color/lightener with)
Gloves
Apron/Smock
Hair coloring brushes (the soft ones, not the cheap, hard bristled ones since these will tangle up your hair, the handle must be plastic!)
Tail comb brush
Kitchen scale (if youâre doing this professionally/extra precisely)
Hair clips (NOT METAL!)
Olaplex
Protein filler (will make sure your color spreads out evenly, equalized your porosity, etc)
Hair color
Hair color key (if youâre using hair color that comes in a tube)
Shampoo for colored/lightened hair
Conditioner for colored/lightened hair
Reparative hair masks
Curling hair masks (if you have curly hair, since this whole process will damage them)
Hair coloring/lightening tips:
Do not use anything metal on your hair while coloring or lightening it! Any mixture that includes developer in it will have a terrible reaction when it comes in contact with anything metallic. It can cause hair to dissolve.
Nothing more than 20 Volume developer should be used during coloring/lightening, unless you want an extreme amount of lift in one session (absolutely not recommended!). This WILL wreck your hair. Itâs better to do many sessions a few days apart than to put your hair through hours of processing.
NEVER put processing hair under heat. Again, this will wreck your hair. This is only done by hairdressers that are tight on time/donât care about your hair.
Always let the lightener process for its stated time on the package (or until you get your desired amount of lift).
Always cap your developer after using it. Exposure to air will decrease its strength.
Mixing two developers will result in a lower strength. Ex: Mixing 40 and 20 volume will result in 30 volume.
The more sessions to lighten in, the less yellow you will see.
Always do your roots last when lightening! These will lift the quickest since it has continual heat from your scalp.
You can mix in virgin olive oil into your hair color/lightener mixture to protect it a bit more.
Donât have extremely dirty, oily hair when processing. The oil and dirt can cause the color to not be able to stick, therefore leaving you with patchy color.
You can brush your hair before coloring or lightening it if you donât irritate your scalp.
I really needed this
