The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, 2000.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid:)
The Other Side || Waverly and Eugene
Eugene sort of had the whole afterlife-thing figured out. He figured he was probably dead after Taylor silt his throat. He had expected to die, so at least he had sort of known what was going on. That didn’t mean that he wasn’t confused or angry, though.
He had sort of hoped to live longer, had hoped that he could talk his way out of his death. But he had sort of expected it, and knew that he had kind of asked for it. He had only realized he wasn’t as untouchable as he thought until it was too late.
"What am I supposed to do?" he asked the sitting girl, crossing his arms. If she meant helping her figure out where they were, he didn’t want to have to tell her and watch her get even more confused. No, he had to figure it out himself, so there was no point in helping her.
"How are you moving?" she cried, her voice pained with confusion. "I've been trying to get out of this spot for..." her voice trailed off. How long had it been? Minutes? Hours? Days? Weeks? Maybe even years? Wasn't time supposed to pass infinitely faster in the after life? "...for way too long!" she decided.
"And my stomach still hurts" she whined, her hands flying to the spot on her torso where she had been stabbed. "How come I can feel things? Or is this a phantom pain? Like a real phantom pain, since we're ghosts...or something..."
Waverly was well aware she was babbling and she could feel an eye roll coming on, but she was so lost and even more confused. She just couldn't help the way words poured out of her mouth like a waterfall over a babbling brook.
The Other Side || Waverly and Eugene
This was it. Waverly had thought she ought to be dead for the last four years. And here it was. Like the whole world was in limbo. No sign of her mother or siblings...or anyone else at all for that matter. A short sigh escaped her lips as she tried to place it all together. How could she have been so naive?
She didn't dare try to move from her current spot. Lord only knew where she was going, what the after life brought. Also...she was having difficulty moving at all. She tried both walking and swimming. Neither seemed to work.
Pouting the girl tried moving once more, to no avail. She was about the give up and spend the rest of her (after)life in one place, when she sensed another body.
Were they alive? Or were they dead like she was? Waverly had no way of telling, but it didn't stop her from waving her arms around frantically. "Hey!" she cried in their general direction. "Little help over here?"
Extremely [Taylor pulls his knife out and stabs her in the back]
No problem sweetie, just this way [he points down a hallway and directs her to go in front of him]
Okay...kinda dark this way...you sure it's safe?
You should come with me, I know safe places
Oh really? Wow! Thanks for offering!
I wouldn’t trust them
Oh. Well...thanks!
