I am so so proud of Jensen. He was like... ya know what? I hate the way Dean went out. I refuse to have that be the end of his story. Refuse to let that be the last time we see him. He wouldn't sit up there in Heaven and do nothing. He would keep fighting for that one thing he always wanted - to save his family. How many times did he warn Mary? How many times did he TRY to fix everything? Jensen was like - fuck you for not letting Dean have his true ending.

And then he threw some money at a camera and BAM! he did it.

HE FUCKING DID IT. And FUck YES, Jensen. I love you and I appreciate you and all you do and all you are and everything that makes you who you are, you crazy fanboy son of a bitch.

Fuck. YES. Jensen. Ackles.

can we please take a moment tho to look at dean's timeline as established by this final episode. this is the order of events that happened for dean (taken from the addition i made to this post):

dean got to heaven. dean chatted with bobby. dean heard "cas helped" and immediately started driving (likely looking for him). dean ended up multiverse hopping and got wind of the akrida. dean found out the akrida were coming for *his* world and in true dean fashion needed to do something. dean meddles. bobby shows up to warn him. bobby leaves and tries to find someone in heaven to help. bobby presumably only finds jack. meanwhile dean is vibing in the AU and helping the winchesters gang stop the akrida. jack + bobby show up to take dean back to heaven.

nowhere in the timeline has dean actually reunited with cas yet !!! it hasn't happened !! dean may have been on his way to find cas but he got thrown into the winchester's plot.

so, this is WHY dean couldn't allude to something like cas "waiting for him" in heaven or anything or else that would imply they've already reunited and therefore take away that reunion from us, which we deserve to see on camera and it deserves its own time and space either in a reboot / spinoff of it's own or at least not crammed into the last few mins of a season finale.

but yeah according to dean's timeline, dean hasn't seen cas yet !!! and that's good for us. i'm happy about that !! that means we still get to see that reunion unfold in the future.
