HOT TAKE: women don’t talk about purity culture than men when the they technically need their own little culture lesson push down their throats.
if women talk about that culture they most likely discuss protection from being partnered by men whose unsure would want to have a life with, meanwhile men brings it up to degrade women.
purity culture has a factor of mindset. yet most men are the ones have more impure thoughts than women. boys taught to learn catcalls if they see a pretty lady, alot of men mean watch pron on middle to high school. and, expected to learn how to “satisfy” a woman even if they’re still teens (women don’t set that system up). even dads don’t trust teenage boys for the same reason.
back to purity culture. there's a span of ideals about “traditional ways”. back in the regency era and time of war women lose rights when married and "spinsters" has more freedom with its own disadvantages like unequal pay, income gaps, and less job opportunities. While straying far from the topic, you noticed the "traditionalist idea" in modernity simply talks about women in kitchen, serving men, AND staying pure meant untouched and uneducated about how reproduction works.
the package includes virgin women termed as fresh daisies, or a chicken. unblemished, dependent, a bit quirky if they must, and owned. their only purpose is to birth “legacies”.
there’s no shame on being already experienced, nor is it required to force people to stay “virginized” for the sole purpose of becoming a "woman" after being fvcked by an EXPERIENCED man. if a woman is not “de-flowered” anymore then it’s fine. but to call them impure and deflowered suggest one is only seeking it’s hidden value. sex is intimate, and the fact some men don’t like it when other men got to a woman first shows how cruel their intentions would have if it hadn’t had happened. And if they speak about men increase their values for being experienced and tells women to stay pure, who is getting railed?
Purity culture was coined in the 90's for reminding everyone not to indulge in a sacred intimate activity for MARRIED PEOPLE. It is not only for women but for men also. And when purity culture is mentioned it is always weaponized on women.
when men who opens up purity culture and undermine its history is lying to you, tell them politely to sit their ass down.
