Interviewer: Can we get to know a little bit more about your special someone?
Damian: Ah, he's my childhood friend.

Interviewer: So you're sweethearts, how cute! Who confessed first?
Damian: I did actually. Well, I'm not sure if I can call it a confession...it sort of just slipped out.

Damian, gazing off in the distance all dreamy: Well, it was rather late. We'd both just come back from a rough night. We were walking down the coast and it was just breezy and we were giggling about something mundane and I just thought that I needed to say something right then and there.
Damian: Of course, I would've liked to plan more. I had an entire grand confession in mind but...it just sort of happened.
Damian, softer: It felt dishonest to wait.
Interviewer, gripping their cue cards like a lifeline: And what did you say?
Damian: …I told him that loving him had become the most natural thing I had ever done.
Interviewer, internally: oh my god.
It's not any better on social media. Damian rarely posts but when he does he always has a photo of Jon and yk when you can tell how much someone adores a person just from how carefully they take pictures? That's him.
90% of Jon's photos are on Pinterest purely because of how well Damian takes them.
They're even spotted in public being all domestic. Everyone talks about how great of a partner Damian is and how much he loves Jon. There's books based off of Damian being the male love interest and everything.
Everyone gets whiplash because his father's reputation is being such a playboy and his son is considered the ideal lover by the entire city.
Of course Jon matches this and hell does more. But the public can't know about monitoring his heartbeat or flying out purely because of one word said.
