not to reuse the same gif on this page, but y'all. hanson was supposed to be my happy muse. i was worried that lauren, @blccdiedknuckles, was too emotionally driven and too heavy so to counteract that i made hanson to be light and fun.

my forced-to-retire small town big hero wannabe turned government experiment and puppet only to be abandoned and discarded without any resources or help to settle into civilian life that is now struggling with an identity crisis and living normally without anyone really in his corner because everyone only loved agent ace, not the man behind the mask, for what they could use him for and he's having to grapple with the reality that everything he stood for and fought for was a lie...

after he was retired, and agent ace was no more, the hardest reality hanson had to swallow was how immediately alone he felt. the people he worked with every day, the other heroes, were quick to make it clear that he had only been a teammate of theirs that they tolerated out of respect for their elders; they only kept him around so they could use him. now that they had no need to parade him around and make him a puppet for their ideals? he was nothing to them. the only people that treated him with any semblance of respect after he lost his mantle, and his identity, were the x-men; the mutant community. so he wasn't completely alone. he started spending more time around alex, when he wasn't chasing after ghosts of who he used to be, and honestly this was inevitable. the other man was handsome, annoyingly so, and hanson was notorious for lacking any real self control. it was mostly just surprising it took this long for something to happen between them.

looking back over his own shoulder, watching the way his own muscles clenched as he lifted himself up before sinking back down, hanson let out a heavy groan as his half-lidded, hazy vision settled to watch the way alex grabbed at the meat of his rear; the way his hands gripped onto him just enough to help lift him up before smoothing up to his hips to push him back down as he paced himself with hanson's own movements and lifted himself into him. "look," he huffed without fully realizing the other man was still toying around with his previous slipup as he teased about payment. "i know i'm already askin' a lot here, but the more simple the pay the better. i'm a little strapped for cash at the moment so if you've got something else in mind, i'm all ears."

just as he was about to throw the proverbial towel in and start his march into the night, his knees practically buckled beneath him as the man unlocked the doors to his car; as the man let him in. hanson hadn't been religious for a long time now but that didn't stop the stray hallelujah from falling from his lips in whisper as he hurried to pull the passenger side door open. stuffing his bag into the floorboard at his feet, he scrunched himself into the seat-- his legs an awkward fit around his duffle. "i--" he grumbled as he took off his mask and peeled off his shirt, his body decorated with scars and bruises from years of fighting and from his short bout just now with the spider, "i finally have you where i want you." licking his lips, hanson begins to unfasten his pants as we slowly stalks towards the bound hero; a large hunting knife in his right hand.

"you look so fucking perfect," he mumbles under his breath as he digs the tip of the blade into the fabric of spider-man's costume; carelessly cutting it open rather than trying to figure out how to peel it off of him. he was a man possessed. he needed to sate his desires and fantasies. he didn't have time to be patient. "so fucking perfect," he repeated as he tossed the knife aside and dropped to his knees in front of the now exposed hero. "i-- i caught you," just like benjamin thought he would.
