Stan listened to his brother with a slowly gaping mouth. Bill Cipher?? Wasnât that the name of the creature that Dipper claimed had been harassing him for so long??
Stan knew he had seen something about the demon in Fordâs journals.
But weirdly though, Stan felt like he recognised Bill when he was spoken about. Like there was some deep part of his brain that knew he had encountered the demon before. Like it was crawling about in his memories.
âFord⊠Ford IâŠthis is too much to think about ..â Stan quickly stopped him after Ford issued the apology, and Stan leaned back against the closest table, putting a hand on his forehead and sighing heavily while he tried to process all of this. It was a hell of a lot of information for Ford to dump on him at once.
âYouâŠyou put a metal plate in your headâŠâ Stan dragged his hand slowly down his face, before readjusting his glasses and staring at the floor.
âLookâŠSixer⊠I know you donât want me asking about what happened to you in the portalâŠbut⊠I think you shouldâŠmaybe, consider seeing a psychiatristâŠâ
Fordâs face fell when he heard that. He actually had a feeling that Stan wouldnât believe him on this. It was why he never really told him.
âIâŠIâm not crazy Stanley. Not anymore. Iâm telling the truth here. Ask Dipper and Mabel if you donât believe me. They can vouch for my claims.âÂ
He rubbed the bridge of his nose a bit then fixed his glasses.
âIâve told them about the rift. Dipperâs even seen it. And did you think that was paint splattered on Mabel and her friendâs clothes? It wasnât. It was unicorn blood. I sent her on a quest to get some unicorn hair as it can create a barrier around the Shack to protect us from having Bill enter our minds. And no they didnât kill it, they just got into a fight cause it pulled a scam on them.â
The genius had taken to pacing back and forth in the room as he explained all of this then stopped and took a deep breath to calm himself.
âIâm being serious Lee and you know well that when Iâm serious, Iâm never making anything up. Bill is dangerous. He can trick and posses anyone, making them do whatever he wants. He did this to me. Me! The smartest person in likely our whole dimension and I got played by a floating triangle.â
He looked down at the floor after that. He still felt awful at himself for being tricked so easily. This was a big reason why he had trouble trusting anyone.
