[ @we-shall-remain ], continued from this.
The doctor was still somewhere nearby on the hallway so the two of them would find him rather soon. At the hug Romani twitched a little, getting nervous to speak with his father after such a long time.
“I love you two too.” He said after he returned the gentle hug. “I’m… I’m sorry I was unreachable lately. I think… I needed some time for myself.”
“We understand you’re busy,” David said, patting his son’s back, “You’ve always been, and we’re here to support you. Do what you need to do, Roman.”
Goetia nodded, his expression full of gentle love. He would always be in Romani’s corner, supporting him no matter what.
“Thank you…” the doctor nodded a bit hesitantly. It was both reassuring and somewhat weird to hear those words. To hear he was doing things well. Most servant was saying the opposite.
But David wasn’t ‘most servant’ to him.
“Uhm, and… did you like my present?”
"Absolutely, we loved them," David grinned, "Michelangelo wanted to try them out right away actually, he's probably painting your portrait in thanks right now."
He was, indeed.
David held up the plush.
"Also, this is so soft, it reminds me of the old days. Oh, did I ever tell you the story of when your grandfather got sat on by the ram?"

Knock if you're alive.
Why is it always about Orpheus turning back foolishly and never about Eurydice following him out of the Underworld, likely knowing she was doomed. That Orpheus went all this way, singing the story of their love, hopeful that he will return her to the surface and finally build their life together— but they will not. She knows her Orpheus will turn back. And yet she still follows him, all the way to the top, because the simple pleasure of seeing his back again is enough for her. Isn’t that a foolish thing to do for love?

“And that’s one too many damn it!”
“They have been arriving at my door as well,” Goetia sighed, “It is as if I must sweep the leaves away from the mat in the spring.”
“While we’re talking, let me offer you some free advice; Talk less;
Smile more;
Don’t let them know what you’re against or what you’re for.

"It has lead me back to you," Phenex smiled, enfolding his beloved in his arms and wings warmly, a welcoming gift. He had missed him so much it sometimes ached in his chest.
"I love you," he whispered, "More and more everyday."

Goetia comes by to see how Adelha is doing, hoping that none of her puppies had buried her in their fluff yet.
The workshop was currently enjoying a relaxing moment. All five puppies laying in the grass to be either napping or chewing on a bone. All five of them looking up when Goetia walks up for one of them to get up and run over to say hello. Happy woofs and wagging tail for the puppy to look very happy to see him. Which has Adelha come to the front door of the workshop with a rag in her hands for her to be cleaning her hands of dust. The lady soon grinning in obvious delight when she sees Goetia. “Well now. No wonder Wesson is so pleased to be greeting someone. Hello, Goetia.”
Adelha is soon hustling down the steps to wrap her arms around Goetia in a welcome hug. Her smile bright and full when she looks up at him to chuckle in warm delight as Wesson sits down to watch the two. “My eyes see with joy. Here I just assumed everyone went off on some wild adventure. But I welcome you back gladly. How are you?”
He was glad to see that Adelha was not lost under the dogs, though Goetia knew he was in for it when they all suddenly woke up and headed his way. Luckily, he was big enough to not get bowled over, and he made such to pat each head so all the fluffy dogs would get some attention and settle down a little.
He looked up at the sound of Adelha’s voice and smiled, hugging her back warmly.
“I’m alright, I’m glad to see you’re alright,” he said, “How are things? I assume you’ve been keeping busy.”
