we protect our friends
"Mama! Mamaa!" The familiar little spider called, still wearing his cloak and little crown as he bounded toward her, reaching fuzzy arms out to hug her tight. "Mama we missed you! We missed you so much!~" He exclaimed, voice filled with cheer.
“Webber?! Is that really you, little darling?” Wrenne scooped up the little tyke in a hug, wings flapping. “Oh, I missed you so much too, little sugarbun.” She gave the kid a kiss on the forehead, using one hand to ruffle his ‘hair’. “Where have you been, sweetie?”
He nodded again, before bouncing in excitement, taking the food and digging in immediately. “Thank you Mama! Thank you so so much! It’s so good!” He exclaimed, pleased with the meal as he ate.
He smiled even wider, nodding and giving a bit of an excited bounce. “O-Okay! W...Why does he make people nervous?” He asked before pausing, smiling once again. “Okay! I won’t leave you either, I promise!” He replied, grabbing his stuff to shrug his knapsack on his back, grabbing his fishing rod as well. “We’re all ready to go!” The spider child, alert and excited for what lay ahead, chirped, looking at Will with bright eyes.
He blinked and listened a bit quietly. “….Oh…. T-That sounds like it’s nice..” He murmured before tensing slightly at the touch. “Oh… No… I ended up here without my Mama or Father or…grandpa…” He replied, looking at the other after a moment of silence. “I have people that… act like parents toward me here… it’s not the same though..” He finished, before looking up with wide eyes. “Huh…? T-They would, really?… They wouldn’t be worried since we….we are like this?” He asked, appendages twitching a bit behind him.
Will was clearly moved by Webber’s plight, shifting closer and watching him sadly as the spider child spoke, giving a little hum of sympathy.
“Oh no…. you can’t stay out here all alone! Really, I bet my parents will love you,” he said kindly once the other had finished. “They’re really great, and they’re really used to stuff that’s not normal.”
He placed his free hand gave a wise little nod, showing what an authority he considered himself on the subject. “I’ll introduce you to them, and everything will be just fine, you’ll see! We can be official brothers!” He seemed more than a little pleased by the idea, despite having just met Webber. Clearly his expectations had run away with him, and so had his ideas.
He blinked, all eyes on the boy. “R-Really, a-are you sure-” He paused after hearing the word brothers leave Will’s lips. “....B-Brothers? Really, you mean it? We’ve never had a brother.... Well, we had Whitner, but he hasn’t been around in a long while...” He mumbled, going quiet and thinking before nodding to Will. “...Okay. We wanna go with!” He replied, giving a sweet smile, his little fangs poking out of his mouth. “I-Is your home far away from here?” He asked.
Its nice to start a blog off with this spider bab am I right? Have my webber load out from Don’t Starve Together! This is only a quickie theres alot i would change to this. ◜◝◜(´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)◝◜◝ <== (my lil persona dude I’ll draw her in the morning , for now, nini!)
His eyes all widened, staring up at the man. “W-Woahh... Wait, a....are you the one who sent me here? Or a-are you just...in charge of the island and stuff?” He asked, little fuzzy fingers grasping at his cloak behind him. The thought f who this man could be and was astonished the boy, as he watched Maxwell in wonder.
He blinked and listened a bit quietly. “....Oh.... T-That sounds like it’s nice..” He murmured before tensing slightly at the touch. “Oh... No... I ended up here without my Mama or Father or...grandpa...” He replied, looking at the other after a moment of silence. “I have people that... act like parents toward me here... it’s not the same though..” He finished, before looking up with wide eyes. “Huh...? Webber had been wandering along a broken up cobblestone path before he had stopped, all eyes widening as he had paused just in time to see the axe come so close to his little head. “Ah!” He flinched, before looking at the being in curiosity. “W-we didn’t do something bad to you did we? You don’t look familiar though! U-Uh, I’m Webber!” He said, trying to be friendly even in a moment like this as his back appendages flexed slightly.
“Yah!” He jumped in fright and nearly dropped the axe when the supposed spider spoke. He didn’t expect that. How could anyone expect that? Sure, he was technically half goat, which may be odd to some, but even this was to be unexpected.
“Hoh — my gosh, you scared me.” He lowered the axe with one hand, holding it limply at one side with a slight slouch to his back, no doubt resting his previously tensed muscles. “I–I — I’m sorry,” He sighed, raising his other hand to his forehead. “I’m Dax.”
“Huh? Oh, we’re sorry! We didn’t mean to scare you mister! B-But it’s nice to meet you! I’m Webber!” He introduced, puffing his chest out a bit with a confident look on his face. “You don’t gotta be scared of us, we’re not bad, I promise! Oh! Maybe we can help you with something? We have food if you’re looking for some!” He said, trying to prove his helpfulness. the boy was a little too excitable, eyes bright as spoke.
He paused, processing the man’s words. “…R-Really? They must have flew a long ways then! The water looks like it goes on forever!” He exclaimed in awe. “I wonder what made them come here? Do you know Mister?”
“If I had to hazard a guess, I would say they just needed a place to stop and rest.” His cigar appeared in his hand, but he held it thoughtfully without taking a drag. The birds were very interesting to him; they always had been. “Many of them are probably migrating.”
He nodded. “Ohhh... I wonder how far away they come from... “ He mused softly. “....I wonder if any other animals came here on their own!” He finished with a smile. “You must know a lot about this place, huh mister?” Webber asked, his fuzzy back appendages twitching lightly.
“Huh? Oh! I guess I do huh?” He gave a soft chuckle. “I’m Webber! And it’s okay, I’m used to people reacting different to us! Especially since most of the spider friends on this island don’t like others… But we’re nice, I promise!” He gasped, not wanting to scare the boy off. “Do you have a camp? Or do you just kinda wander around like we do?” He asked with a curious tilt of his head.
“Oh, I hope I didn’t offend you!” Will said with some concern, but all the same went on to answer the question. “I have a camp with my parents!“ He declared. It seemed odd to him that Webber should be alone, really. Perhaps the other boy was the child of the Spider Queen that his papa warned him about? He wasn’t sure it would be polite to ask, really.
“Hm? Oh! No, we’re fine, don’t worry!” He paused, listening to him. “Oh...y-you have your Dad and Mama here too?... At least you’re not alone huh?” He asked, trying to keep his cheer up, but a feeling of homesickness had begun washing over the boy. “What’s it like? Having them with you here?” He asked.
"Mama! Mamaa!" The familiar little spider called, still wearing his cloak and little crown as he bounded toward her, reaching fuzzy arms out to hug her tight. "Mama we missed you! We missed you so much!~" He exclaimed, voice filled with cheer.

He giggled and nodded, petting Watt contently, watching Wren as she cooked. “We haven’t gotten to eat nuggets in a long while Mama! I’m excited!” He said sweetly, befre gasping with a frown. “No! Mama no we’ll freeze!” He complained.
“Oh, don’t you worry. I know a way to keep the water warm.” She chuckled, continuing to make the food. After adding the honey, the sweet smell wafted about, and Watt even started drooling a bit. “For now, though, dinner is at the forefront of what we have to do. And I bet you’re hungry.”
He smiled and nodded, gasping at the smell, swallowing as he salivated at the smell of his favorite thing in the world. “I am really hungry Mama... Really really hungry...” He murmured.
“Oh! Ah, no, I…” Wilson paused and collected himself with a small sigh. “Of course not. Sorry about that.” He said, fixing his spear and rising back to a standing position. “Half spider and half human then, is it?” He asked. “Fascinating… how did that come about, if you don’t mind me asking?”
He smiled and nodded. “Yes sir! Oh! Uh...” He went quiet in thought, scratching the back of his neck. “Well, when I first ended up here... I got eaten by a spider and... When I woke up next, we sorta...shared the same body? It’s not that bad though! He’s a real nice spider! I just wish I could pet those kittycoons or say hi to those pig people.... They’re so mean to me now..” He spoke, a look of slight sadness washing over him before he perked right back up. “Do you remember how you got here? Or how long?” He asked in curiousity.
"Mama! Mamaa!" The familiar little spider called, still wearing his cloak and little crown as he bounded toward her, reaching fuzzy arms out to hug her tight. "Mama we missed you! We missed you so much!~" He exclaimed, voice filled with cheer.

Webber’s little cape flowed behind him as he ran through a pig village, being chased by it’s citizens, hearing nothing but threats of death coming from their mouths. The little hybrid ran as far as his legs could take him, panting as he finally got far enough away so the pigs gave up their hunt. Webber panted and slumped to the ground, resting against a tree. “Why do they hate me so much…” He murmured with a frown. “Oh well… Maybe one day we can all be friends!” He said, cheering himself up and he pulled some food from his bag to munch on. “Hmm… I wonder if I can find anyone new to meet today…”
Wilson had been wandering around, not really looking for anything. He just wanted to take a moment to walk around and enjoy nature. He was pretty sure he heard something in the distance, but he wasn’t too bothered by whatever it was. ‘It’s probably some sort of animal’, he thinks to himself, continuing on his adventure, absent-mindedly picking flowers. He knew there was a pig village somewhere around here, so it was probably just them getting themselves into a fight. He does not expect to see a child. Or… Probably a child? He stops awkwardly, looking at the small creature. Could they see him? He hadn’t actually noticed the other until he got pretty close.
Webber continued on before freezing in place, eyes spotting the man before smiling and waving, trotting toward him. “Hello!! Hi!!” He called, before getting close. “I’m so glad we got to run into someone! Nice to meet you mister! I’m Webber!” He gave a childish grin as he pointed to himself. “Are you looking for food? We have some if you’d like! Or maybe something else?” He asked.

Webber yawned and smiled as sat down by a nearby pond, pulling out his fishing rod and swinging the lure into the water, humming a soft tune as he awaited a catch. The boy seemed to be off in his own little world, devoid of the mess of place he was actually in. Webber gently tapped his foot along the ground, not really expecting anyone to be around the area.
Will was pretty surprised himself to catch sight of someone up ahead, sitting and fishing so peaceably. He approached cautiously, but not with any marked fear, excited to make the other’s acquaintance.
“Hello there!” He called cheerfully as he came near, trying to be sure he approached from an angle where he’d be visible and so not scare his potential new friend.
Webber, blinked, looking up and smiling wide at the sight of someone new. “Oh! Hi! I’m sorry, we didn’t see you!” Webber set his fishing pole down before standing, his back appendages twitching a bit. “Uh, It’s nice to meet you! We’re always glad to meet new friends!” The boy chirped, all eight eyes watching Will.
