World's Eligible Bachelor off the Market
So, George Clooney is off the market ladies; he and his fiance Amal Alamuddin officially tied the knot this past weekend. We await with bated breath to see Mrs Clooney's wedding dress! The word is Oscar de la Renta is the designer for the gown.
The menu consisted of lobster; lemon risotto; fried palemento w/ mushrooms - yum!!
Stay tuned I will posting a picture of the bride in her dress in the near future.

Reasons to Hire a Wedding Planner
First and foremost your planner helps you stay within your budget. Consider the fact that a planner is like your financial guru for planning your wedding - she/he will help you determine what is needed for your budget.
You may have vague ideas of how your wedding should be and a planner will help bring your vision to reality. His/ her job is to listen and make it happen in the most realistic terms.
Time is oh so precious, especially for busy couples. Your planner will pair you with the right caterer; venue; florist; photographer and can also give you tips on your dress. It's like having your own personal assistant.
Peace of mind is important. Knowing that you have an advocate there coordinating your day allows you to enjoy the moment and be a relaxed guest at your wedding, not a stressed-out problem solver.
Pros summary to hire me: bride less stressed, not over whelmed; my job is to manage spending & bring about a successful wedding - I have access to venders (florists, caterers, venues, etc.)
Con: the expense of hiring me as a wedding planner ;-)
PEACE OF MIND ;-)
The Stress of Planning a Wedding.
It's amazing how much emphasis is placed on the wedding day instead of focusing on the other 1/2 of the equation - your groom to be. Don't become a Bridzilla. I found the following definition of a bridzilla on the urban dictionary site and I had to include it here. One ridiculous spoiled bitch that thinks she is the center of the universe, just because her "show" (the wedding) is 18 months from now. Everyone else in the world has to drop everything and come running in this prime-donna's mind. The marriage will not last more than a couple of years,if the groom to be is lucky.
"Man, get a load of that bridezilla. We should warn him that he will never have another blow job after getting married." http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bridezilla
This is for your all who have a sense of humour. If we can't laugh at ourselves, well.....
However, on a serious note - planning a wedding can be very stressful and during the initial stages I think people forget a wedding is as big as they allow it to be. A wedding can become the Blob (www.imdb.com/title/tt0051418/) for many. Instead it should be a memorable and fun journey to a life time event.
Understandably, everyone is different and her/his experience is her/ his own. I think the pressure and demands of everyone i.e. the groom; family members; and managing vendors (caterers; floral; venue; wedding dress, etc) , can take their toll on the bride-to-be and in this situation the motto: You can't please everyone comes to mind. In this case it's best to do what works for you and not worry so much about the outside forces. It's your day and you should enjoy the journey there. Well, actually it's you and your groom day.
Our culture places a huge emphasis on having a great wedding and not enough focus on having an awesome marriage. Step back and realize, the most important part of the day is not the day itself ... but that you walked down that aisle and into the arms of the person you love the one you look forward to building your life with. You will have a lifetime in which you can create more memories ... the wedding day, while important, is only one of the many experiences and memories you will share! http://weddings.about.com/od/weddingstressmanagement/a/weddinggoddess_2.htm
In the midst of it all stay connected to your fiance and take care of yourself. Eat healthy, exercise and enjoy an occasional spa day as needed.
The result - a feeling of accomplishment!!!
I rest my case!!!!
Location, Location, Location
There is no wrong venue, just good reasoning - where is it perfect to celebrate on your day? Whether it's in a winery; public or private park; an historic building, a church; on a waterfront; city hall or even your own back yard. It is your choice; your day, CELEBRATE it to your heart desire.
Spring time at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Spring Grove Cemetery in the fall.
This represents a setting for a small but memorable wedding. It's tastefully done in a courtyard or this easily can be someone's backyard.

This courtyard is an idea for a rustic wedding, looking for intimacy to spend your special day with close friends and family. This would certainly fit the bill.
Spring Grove Cemetery comes to mind here. Despite the fact it's a cemetery; the grounds at Spring Grove are beautiful. The flora during spring, summer and fall will leave you breathless.
Camila Alves McConaughey and Matthew McConaughey. The dress by worn by Camila for the 2011 Oscar's, designed by Kaufman Franco. This would make an exquisite and daring wedding dress (white of course).

Ways to Cut Cost Without Looking Cheap.
The average cost of a wedding is as high as $28,400 by one estimate, and close to $26,000 by another. And depending on where you live, like the Big Apple, average costs can top $70,000. That's higher than the median American household income. Most couples spend less than $10,000. This however, does not include cost for a honeymoon. Understanding wedding cost now can help you with your wedding budget later.
If you are determined to keep your wedding costs in check despite the various pressures to spend big, here are a slew of suggestions.
1) Trim the guest list
2) Be creative and think outside the box (which ties in to 5 & 6 below).
3) Picking wedding flowers in season can save you a bunch of money.
4) DIY - Being handy is priceless and cost effective, example visit websites which offer options for printing your own invitations and and save-the-date notices.
5) You don't have to spend a fortune on an elaborate catering hall. Churches usually have reception halls where you can celebrate after you exchange vows. Some restaurants can host wonderful receptions as well.
6) Keep food casual - If your heritage includes an exotic cuisine, serving some of your favourite dishes helps to personalize your event. Looking for a wedding favour? How about purchasing Italian cookies from your favorite bakery, dividing them up into little baggies, and adding ribbon and a wedding tag label to personalize
