Do you know if anyone has ever make any link or web that showcase all of the Card arts and its evolved hd ? Perhaps an archive etc from the CN players who is kind enough to make ?

LN makes such beautifull and jaw dropping card illustrations and i want to learn from how they compose their art and colors aaa

unfortunately, all the archives that i know of are on hiatus or closed down and so, as far as i know, there's no complete hd collection of light and night's cards anywhere.

hello i started playing ln sea server and i have some questions abt it sorry if its a bit too many and thank you so much 🙇🏽‍♀️

i heard that cn got the replay moments and messages much later so i want to know if there's some sort of archive, postings somewhere where we can read the different responses?

hopefully i can use mtl to read them cuz vng translation is so wonky and weird lol

oh and if there is one, will they have the login lines because im curious what they say and wanna check it

oh and i notice the 1 and 2 stars card have lines that we can use as login lines and im wondering if we're gonna have more of them? and what type of event would it be?

and are the achievements on tea break for the LI moments are randomised between players are the same or no? my account often have xiao yi lol and i rarely got the others hahaha oh and i unlocked jesse and charlie a bit late but i got them as well so i can't unlock it yet so are they stacked or it just dissappear?

and will the calls gonna be updated right after because i checked it's currently had 12?

and lastly im trying to read the story chronologically true to cn but I heard we got part 2 for ToD, do side stories matter or I can just focus more on story cards, events and main story chapters only?

there are character fan groups who archive moments and messages, although some are going on hiatus now, unfortunately they're all on weibo and so it's hard to navigate unless you have an account and you would have to reverse translate the moment or message you're looking at and be able to input its title to search for it in the fan group because you're going back 5 years. it might be easier to start an english community that shares the different moments and messages.

if you're talking about the default login lines, i can answer that for you, haha.

yes, you'll get more login lines and later have an update where you can select 20 of them and have them randomly play every time you login. generally, these cards appear alongside 5-man banners or free holiday events and they're always free, you just have to exchange event currency for them.

tea break moments, messages, or phone calls are randomized for that month but if you diligently login every day then you'll get everything for everyone. it's 5-6 per character in a month. i don't know what happens if you get tea break moments for charlie and jesse when you haven't unlocked them yet, but if you miss any of these you'll be able to grab them at anniversary because a shop opens up to let you get past tea break conversations (uses event currency to unlock).

yes, you'll get more calls. generally, these happen on holidays but sometimes there'll be large updates that gives several more calls for free (very, very rare though LOL).

because SEA started on season 2 of truth and dare, i'm worried they'll just never return to season 1, haha, but it's still pretty early so you can read it without any worries. it follows the current character and relationship development and i guess it's "your mileage may vary" because some people would feel that it does reveal some more things about the character. you get to see the philosophies they currently have and then later on how that slowly changes as you get closer to each other.

hello, i'm happy it sounds like you're enjoying the game! this is a pretty broad question, haha, i don't really have anything to share other than to wish you luck in saving resources for the upcoming qixi banner and his birthday, i guess? his 1st birthday event and card are super important, both in terms of universal lore (because it introduces the spirit clan) and character lore (because it drops tons of foreshadowing).

if you've avoided spoilers about sariel, then one of the funnest things about his character is piecing together his past. it's one super long journey to season 3 chapter 5 before you finally get all the information to put everything together. but up to that point, you'll feel like a historian trying to piece things together, haha, because everyone in the game sucks at properly keeping history and they all have their own version of events (very realistic, what with history being written by the victors), and sariel is no help because he has fragmented memories due to plot reasons.

i listed all the outfits the heroine had in december 2022, so i'm going to grab those and then add the rest of the outfits given in these 4 years. the outfits from 2022 are read left to right in chronological order but, after an update, they became ordered from newest to oldest and so now you have to read the additions them right to left.

Seeing how VNG handling LN SEA is truly.....dissapointing to say the least. I thought i got my chance to try this game on my own and turns out the handler of the game is very good on fucking up everything from translation and speeding through many things. Such a pity for this game to be misshandled by them.

I did not know if you have say it or not but I assume (please do correct me if im wrong) you are outside of China playing this game (?) How did you able to play the game ? Through changing the app store region or ?

Im asking this because im far too gone to not play the game haha. I dont think im ever that hooked to a game story and the characters like Light and Night despite never playing it and watching through translations (your blog is truly a heaven sent). Turns out once you do try something you've been wanting to, you can't never go back hahahaha.

I'm thinking on going to the CN server but seeing how its been 5 years going and to jump on it now is ???? Esp you've said that the game is very chornological. I dont mind starting late to the game and catch up but im afraid that the jump to the game is far too 'big' that its hard to catch up on to it. I might try KR server but i havent heard much about it but it started in 2024 and havent got a clue on its timeline, is it as bad as SEA or follows with CN timeline.

Such a pain to know this game just this year, if i knew about this i would've jump into the game sooner on.

to be fair to VNG, the TW (which SEA seems to be following so far) and KR servers have also royally messed up the chronological timeline, so all the localizations are the same on that point, haha.

to play on the CN server, you need to have a QQ or wechat account to sign into the game and then you have to be comfortable providing ID of some kind to verify your age, because china has restrictions on minors playing mobile games.

light and night doesn't have a very good archive for its past events, this is the main reason i don't think it's a good idea for people to jump into a 5 year old server because playing catch up means having to search up recordings and, if you can't read chinese, then trying to translate a video would be a headache. but not reading any of those past events would be doing a disservice to the story, because character and relationship development happen in those events (missing the previous birthday events, especially the 1st year ones, is missing out on a huge chunk of development too).

however, if you're determined to be in this game for the long haul, then i would suggest going to the CN or TW server, because you wouldn't have to worry about server closures which always seem to happen to KR, SEA, and global servers for otome games. if you have the time and energy, you could also consider playing on both servers so that you're experiencing the 1st year events (as much as possible with their wack schedule) on the SEA server while making the CN server your main collection.

I saw your post on Top 3 most fav cards per LL and wonder about Sariel's Trajectory card about the modern warfare and his backstory during that time (is that chp 17 or 18 i forgot). I tried searching it in your blog and cant seem to find it. Idk of you have translate it or not, so i kinda want to ask you about it if you have ever translate it or do you know someone who may have already translate that card perhaps ? oh no, sariel's chapter 18 trajectory card is just about ancient warfare, when he was a war general. the modern warfare one is his VR card, where you and sariel are diplomats and have to evacuate your people out of a country that suddenly got invaded. i don't have anything translated for either of them, and i don't keep up with any translators for this game so i'm afraid i wouldn't be able to point you in any direction.

What is your personal top 3 fav cards that have make your brain gain more wrinkles due to how good the story is and maybe even change your perception on a topic and why ?

narrowing it down to 3 cards is hard because i like so many of them for different reasons, haha. there are ones that talk about love and a relationship, and then there are ones that talk about human nature. but if i absolutely had to pick just 3, then i think i would go with these.

OSBORN.

chapter 13 trajectory (四百击). throw out what you know about Osborn, because this card will show the depths of this man. Osborn's tragedies hit hard because they're mundane evils, like being abandoned by parents, neglected by teachers, societal prejudices, and even sexual abuse.

l.o.v.e. (极热狂想). another amazing dissection of Osborn's character and why his deadly sin is wrath, because he has an extreme outlook on life, which is ironic because he generally gives a chill impression. he doesn't judge people for their choices in life, but cross his bottom line and you'll face his wrath.

5th birthday (寰目焦点). a relationship cannot always be exciting and passionate, we have to accept there are times where it may be boring. similarly, love does not have to be noble, perfect, or pure and you can love someone for "vulgar" reasons too.

EVAN.

1st birthday (宴色诱惑). one of the most amazing introductions to the blood clan and the world Evan was raised in. the sheer amount of worldbuilding packed in this card is something everyone can take notes on.

season 2 chapter 6 film reel (群居动物). for all the depressed nihilists out there, because this is like a pilgrimage with Evan to find the meaning to life and something to keep you going. things do not magically become better, but you find an outlet to keep yourself together.

4th birthday (缠缚年华). this story crazily breaks the fourth wall because you and Evan get sent into mirror worlds where the other person doesn't exist. in the end, it's revealed that Evan was sent to his world way earlier than you and had to wait over 2000 days for you to appear so that his world could move. the character Evan was trademarked on jan 4, 2019 and precisely 2210 days later is jan 22, 2025 (his 4th birthday), and if you read 2210 backwards that's his birthday.

SARIEL.

2nd birthday (山海誓). light and night's two heart choices are used exceptionally well here, because the player can choose whether they can peacefully accept the death of a loved one or accept the death of a loved one kicking and screaming.

chapter 18 trajectory (长风吹彻). you get to watch a hot-blooded youth turn into a jaded man after the horrors of war. it's not really a lesson anyone needs, but light and night explores the horrors of both ancient and modern warfare very well with Sariel.

unknown paradise (交错伊甸). this is a grand narrative about humanity and whether or not we deserve to continue existing as a species. you also get a story of a literal god of destruction falling in love with a mortal.

CHARLIE.

round the clock (蝴蝶效应). i was surprised at how explicit sexual consent is brought up here, because Charlie stops and doesn't go any further when he realizes you aren't ready.

stranger party (荒蛮乐园). the greatest love story ever told in a squid game setting, but i also love the exploration of humanity here. you can see how easy it is to lose that humanity, and also how precious it is to hold onto this humanity.

maltese collab (艳阳嘉许). the dark and intrusive thoughts we have are not a product of love, but a part of love itself and it's important to accept these both in yourself and in your partner.

JESSE.

season 2 chapter 2 film reel (脱轨). this explores how deep Jesse's obsession with you goes, and it's done in a very neutral way that neither romanticizes it nor criticizes it.

l.o.v.e. (灵欲回声). completely rewired my brain circuits about the deadly sin of envy. in my opinion, envy is almost aways ignored whenever people play around with the deadly sins because it's so hard to spin in a cool or positive way, but the light and night writers blew my mind. envy is having an eye for beauty and being able to make those things your goals to achieve.

season 3 chapter 4 film reel (良夜如注). we have all these inhuman races in light and night, and yet Jesse is the one who gets to explore the line that separates us humans from beasts. he noticed himself going off into the deep end and so he confronted that side of himself.

hi, sorry for bothering u but i dont know any other light and night players yet (and i dont do twitter or discord anymore so idk if theres more people there). idk if this was mentioned elsewhere and i just missed it because ive been playing the story while doing other stuff, but is zha lisu the doctor in chapter 7 the hero in white that treated xiao yi? i feel like that wouldnt make sense but his description just feels really similar. also, sorta related, has it been mentioned what the canon ages of the characters are? idrc about age differences but im just struggling to put the timeline together in my head without the ages to reference.

haha, those pesky one character differences but also how vng uses pinyin doesn't help because xiao yu's name in chinese is 小宇 which is more like "Little Yu" and he doesn't actually have a surname. this is a common way to address kids in chinese. meanwhile, xiao yi's name is 萧逸 and so it's very easy to see the difference.

i did want to answer this though because we do have canon ages!

SARIEL = 3000+ years old CHARLIE = 28 years old EVAN = 26 years old OSBORN = 23 years old (the heroine is the same age as him) JESSE = 21 years old

If only LN sea were with a more reputable /'better' company that is handling it. Everytime i see in twt someone pointing out the mistakes in the localization or even just straight up wrong is, i wonder do they even hire someone to do this and proofread or is it ai.

Ive seen you and several people saying how LN is a very chronological game and with VNG fuckery of a schedule, I prob follow the one you recs in one of your asks. Bless their heart for making it cause that is so detailed aaaaa. I should follow their acc in twt, need to find more LN twt cause theres none in mine.

unfortunately, the lack of consistency, proofreading, and most critically i saw someone share a screenshot of how charlie's avatar frame was translated as "Charlie Su" points at VNG's english translation being mostly done by AI because only AI makes that mistake with Charlie's name. on the other hand, i hear that the thai and vietnamese translations are much better, so that's a minor relief? although i feel like if they were going to half-ass english like this, then they shouldn't have done an english translation or wasted money on those english voices... which sometimes i think are AI too, oof.

i'm a day one player on the chinese server and haven't missed a login day since, so my personal anniversary is also light and night's anniversary, haha. i didn't have any good reasons to start playing light and night though, it was actually because i dropped the chinese server of tears of themis cold turkey when they implemented their gacha system change and because i still had gacha habits i just jumped to light and night to try it out. if tears of themis didn't implement their gacha system change, then i was actually prepared to stick with them and not try out light and night (due to not having the time to juggle two gacha games).

i was lukewarm towards light and night at the beginning too. their story and characters were interesting, but there was nothing that made me a diehard fan until chapter 9 released. that was when i was shocked at the boldness of the writers in evan's trajectory and how i could see them laying the groundwork for a very interesting relationship. i haven't regretted the choice of sticking with them ever since. i really, really like their writers and the themes they explore.

This is so random but your opinion regarding about not viewing language in 'how long it takes to learn' truly introduce me to something that i never have thought about before.

Im fluent in 2 languages in a sense. My country language and English, and even so. Even after my whole life using my native language and English, till now i be forgetting words and have a mix up from both language and have to search.

So when you say that learning a language never stops truly change me lol HAHAHAHAH. Im too caught up on thinking how to reach a certain 'level' on a spesific amount of time where in reality is as what you say. We can never truly 'master' a language, even the native people from the language we are interested even searches words they forgot or didnt know.

My INTP self is too much overplanning and overthinking where in reality its better to just start it and keep opening our mind to new information and knowledge and keep on learning wether its language and other topics. The pursuit of knowledge !!

i sound like i have good opinions because i get time to sit and think about how to respond to these asks. if you were to put me on the spot in a podcast, then you would hear how many times i go "uhh... umm..." hahahaha. i'm happy my words were able to give you some food for thought and make you see things in a new light! in my opinion, one of the ways to enjoy life is to hold onto a curiosity and openness towards things around you!

i also feel like there's a short adjustment period everyone needs to go through when they read or watch something new, because in a sense you're engaging with the creator's thoughts, emotions, and messages they want to convey, and at the beginning you're both strangers to each other and you don't understand their style. once you read a couple of chapters, or watch past the first 15 minutes of a show, then you start to get an understanding of how they do things.

a large part of media comprehension (whether it's in your native language or a language you're learning) involves working together with the creator. it's not a competition where the creator is trying to trick you or throw twists at you and where you're trying to predict what they're going to do so that you can be like "oh of course they're going to do that, how cliche" but rather for the creator to invite you onto a journey together.

so, when reading something in your second language, the beginning may feel harder than normal and you might feel like any previous progress you made has disappeared, but that's because it's both your weaker language and there's this adjustment period!
