Lots of things were familiar to Simon. However, prison and getting beat up always seemed to be the most familiar. He had found his way back into the prison, their strongest cuffs forcing his arms behind his back, a pole preventing him from escaping while he stared up at a woman. The former prosecutor could only guess that she was a sadist by the look in her eyes as her foot connected with the side of his face. He felt a warm drip down his face and his gaze fell to the ground. Ah, well. He supposed he deserved it.
He smirked a bit as his hair was grabbed and he was forced to look up. "I don't think you're trying hard enough, Chief-dono. I'm still conscious."

1. What they smell like: well i imagine he'd smell like metal bc of his sword and his shackles and his 7 years in jail....but idk. probably most def metal.

Kuro stretched out her arms and closed her eyes as she let the sun rays fall on her, warming her skin. As if she wasn’t already ready to take a nap, the warmth of the lethal ball of gas in the sky was enough to make her want to curl up right here on the broken ground. Instead, she just sat down and let herself enjoy the feeling of it. If she closed her eyes, she could almost see the trees full of life and the buildings standing tall as they once did. After an hour or so of doing nothing, she decided she should probably stop wasting time. Allowing herself ten or twenty more minutes wouldn’t hurt her bone dry schedule.
Her attention was caught by movement in her peripheral vision, her crimson eyes shifting over to make contact with a similar pair of orbs. Blinking a couple times, she realized the man was coming in her direction. She had no idea who he was, so needless to say it was a little startling. Kuroneko remained quiet, just watching.
Simon began to approach the woman, but stopped halfway towards her. This...probably seemed very strange to her. There really wasn't any turning back now, however. He had already been spotted. Clearing his throat, he continued the rest of the way towards her.
"I know it seems odd that a strange should approach you like this, but I frequently visit this area. I noticed you sprawled out and looked rather sleepy...I wouldn't enjoy watching any harm to come to you while I was around."
It was a pretty pleasant day- if you could call living here pleasant. Sebastian sat on a bench, watching the people around him scramble. The poor certainly were interesting things to observe. He had been there for about an hour and a half and he had decided it was finally time to leave, but something caught his eye.
Ah, yes. They certainly looked interesting. Standing up, he locked his gaze on the person and started towards them. Perhaps they'd notice.
