A very special honey made close to the mountains. The bees go out in March and April so the starting material is not pollen from flowers, but the secretions of other insects on the pine trees.  It may sound gross, but the end result is quite delicious - a honey that tastes more like toffee than honey.

Traditional Bulgarian bread made by Grandma from a handwritten recipe passed down through the generations.

This Bulgarian cheese is made from sheep’s milk, which gives it a very rich and creamy taste. It’s absolutely delicious.  The red on top is paprika, which is added just before serving to give it an extra kick.

These little guys know it's breakfast time at La Posada.  They wait in the trees until no one is watching, and then raid the breakfast tables set out for guests.  They even know which cupboard the bananas are hidden in.

Most people pass right by Ollantaytambo, Peru on their way to Machu Picchu, but this picturesque town is worth a stop.  The stone streets and houses make it hard to imagine that much has changed since it was built by the Incas.  Farming terraces built over 500 years earlier are still used by the local villagers.

Located inside the walled city of Istanbul, the Grand Bazaar stands as one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world.  Vendors carrying everything from colorful glass to spices would line up to sell their goods to the natives.  Nowadays, The Grand Bazaar serves as the world’s largest tourist gift shop.
