The parallels between Anakin and Maul actually drive me insane.
In part one of designing Jedi Quest characters for an animated show I hope Lucasfilm will make about Anakin’s Padawan years:
Sketch because I messed up his eyes while tracing:
Anakin’s 14 at this point btw just as a reference.
clones having actually REALLY bad facial recognition if someone changes ANYTHING about themselves.
with the clones using their wildly different hair styles/dyes and piercings and tattoos to help differentiate each other. it becomes identifying features, and so they stick to those chosen looks forever.
which results in hilarious moments such as:
Obi-Wan, cuts off the mullet: hello there 212th, collectively raising their blasters: who the fuck are you and how did you get on this ship?
Mace Windu, coming back from a long and tedious time at the temple going over reports and strategies and redirecting senators with a scruffy beard: good morning Commander Ponds, internally: omg omg omg when did they start cloning jedi? or has General Windu always had a brother? is this a test? is this an imposter? Windu: I know, the beard is untidy, I was planning on shaving in my quarters once we were in hyperspace Ponds: ... of course sir.
Plo, who's eye protection was compromised during the last battle and has to use his backup pair: Wolffe: *snarling* Plo: I will refrain from wearing the orange ones if it makes you that uncomfortable Wolffe. they are a bit gaudy but they were a gift from my niece. Wolffe: ... buir?
Anakin, sparring with Ahsoka: damn its hot in here *puts hair up into a ponytail* Torrent Company: *tackles Anakin* Ahsoka: uhhh what? Jesse, from the pile: don't worry Commander! we'll take care of this stowaway! Echo: how'd this guy even get on board!? Hardcase: I don't know but he must be stupid to try and fight the Commander out in the open like this- why are you laughing commander?
grace after every time eva asks him to do something:
I recently watched Song of the Sea so I decided to draw the disaster lineage as an Irish family inspired by the one in the film, and well as some redraws of scenes in the movie:
Also this idea forced me to draw Dooku so yayyy I’ve finally drawn the entire disaster lineage.

Ryland Grace, seconds before losing consciousness: did--did you just reference Parks and Rec
I cant believe I have seen someone call the Jedi therapists, and that Anakin was in "therapy" for 13 yrs within the Jedi Order.
When, I can assure you, by everything we have from canonic material, from Legends AND Disney Canon - but especially if we take the movies only - the way Jedi manage emotions is no where close of healthy.
The Jedi offered spiritual guidance, emotional discipline and moral instruction. That is not the same thing as therapy, and canonically they were not healthy in how they handled emotions, fear, attachment and grief, especially in Anakin's case.
You do not take a 9-year-old former slave away from his mother, leave her enslaved on another planet, teach him that fear is a path to darkness, allow a 52-year-old politician constant access to him for years, pile war and responsibility onto his shoulders, and then call that “therapy.”
That does not mean Anakin is innocent. He is responsible for what he became and what he did.
But stop twisting the story into “the Jedi were basically his therapists and did everything right.” They were not villains. They were heroes, but flawed heroes, and in Anakin's story they absolutely failed him.
The main villain is and always will be Sidious.
But the Jedi's mistakes were still mistakes, and their handling of Anakin was not healthy by any serious reading of the text.
"light brown" is a hair color more people should get comfortable having. you don't need to think of yourself as blonde
And if I made Ryland Grace Catholic then what? Who could stop me?
"we" being her and carl
