ANOTHER Plot bunny of Platonic Yandere!Decepticons story prompt.
Where YOU are part of a space crew to find a new suitable planet to live with.. But, unfortunately- your crew ended up being on the short end on a stick after an accident.. Oh, and there's a menacing looking purple spaceship following you.
YEP, it's another Humans-are-sparkling fic!
This time with the Decepticons!
Here's the Autobot version, if some of y'all are curious.
Why did I make another one of this?? Idk, honestly I'm working on the 2nd part with the Tfa Megop helping blitzbee to court for the peace contract but yeah..
YOU or the READER is already named alongside the other humans (there are fewer human characters here) but I didn't put it here purely for self-insertabilty. But if you read the Autobot version, you'll notice that there's a huge difference between the reader's personality.
And if you're also wondering, the Reader's actual name is Noelle.
Oh, and this piece has more interaction with the humans unlike the Autobot version where it's half-half.
This story once again, follows the 'All-humans-are-sparklings' trope, and this part happens earlier than the ones with the Autobot.
When that 'incident' happened on the space station, that forces quite literally everyone to find their own space ship to escape, and by everyone, you meant EVERYONE, whether they're civilians or scientist.
You're lucky someone is kind enough to push you to their ship when that stupid ass president raided the station together with his minions. You however, are unluckily stuck with only the four of you.
You, the main and only software engineer of the ship.
Maverick, the only pilot of the ship.
Sierra, an assistant medic turned official medic of the ship.
You recall how the other two try to encourage him to take classes before the station got taken over but he's too stubborn to get his hands dirty. Claiming that he wants to start training to be a captain, but kept withholding the actual classes.
And now he's practically useless in the whole goddamn ship.
What's even worse.. Or good, depending on who you're asking, is that your group managed to get a decently sized spaceship meant to hold at least eight crew members, which unfortunately and obviously didn't happened since a certain civilian pressed the engine to evevacuate immediately while you and the others are waiting for any potential crew members.
Now there's only four- sorry, three official crew member when it should have more.
Now before any of you ask, the rest of your already small crew did not in fact, like that. In fact, none of you have even spoken to Lance for months now, even Sierra! Who's cousin is best friends with Lance!
Well, technically all, excluding you, spoke with Lance.
Okay, technically.. You all spoke with him.. Before the 2nd incident.
Obviously, with the obvious problem that there isn't enough of you to find a suitable planet. Since your crew doesn't have a biologist, chemist, botanist, geologist- and practically every scientific field that can create a whole planet.
Maverick, who decided to become the de-facto leader, tried to take Lance under his wing by giving him the job of monitoring the route of the ship, and teach him how to pilot so he could help Sierra with the untouched garden.
You would help her as well, if you're not in charge with the entire system of the ship.
Unfortunately, that job was taken away from Lance when he unknowingly pulled the ship into an asteroid field and piloted the ship on his own while Maverick and Sierra were at the mentioned garden.
Did the ship take damage, obviously.
Is the crew angry at him, most definitely were and still are.
After that whole debacle and arguments. You barely spoke with the guy, opting to just stare at the screens than to look at him.
Heck, you didn't even leave the communications and server rooms at all. Only going out to get your food before returning. You haven't even seen the other's faces for a long time now. And the others have only heard your voice for months now.
Maverick, the pacifist he is, tried to be cordial with the guy but he always uses the fact that he's the only pilot of the ship as an excuse to not talk to the guy. Despite the fact that they were close once.
Sierra, the blessing that she is. Berated the man and forced Lance to take on the role as the Ship's repair guy. Purely on the fact that she was still very much angry since she was waiting and calling for her cousin while everyone is practically pushing for survival back at the station, when the guy pressed the button.
Practically speaking, none of you trusted the guy after that whole incident.
"I SAW A WEIRD SHIP IN THE DISTANCE"
He shouted at you when you pulled him in the shuttle, especially since you're the only one (apart from Maverick) who knows which buttons to operate the whole entire system.
You however, obviously did not believe him and just rolled your eyes at him through the screen before giving him another list of chores to do.
"No! Seriously! I saw a ship in the distance!" He tried to tell you, craning his head high to look at the security cameras.
"It's big! Like, super big and- and dark! Y/n! Wait, just listen!"
It also didn't help the fact that you started moving your finger to the mute button.
"It doesn't look like any of ours! It's sharp, pointy and very huge-!"
You muted the camera and offlined it.
Honestly, things aren't looking too good with your feeble three-membered crew.
The food you've been eating is.. Less at best, since none of you know how to grow your food, apart from Sierra's limited knowledge of planting. Which, as useless as it seems, became your only saving grace in the crew.
You at least know how to water it daily, and by water it daily, you meant giving the task to Lance and then punishing him by giving him more task whenever he forgets it.
Maverick at least tried to help with the food problem. Although your ship has enough food to feed a whole crew of eight for another ten years. Everyone of you knows just how fast it can go. He at least knows how to ration it together with Sierra, and to help with the potential problem. You tried to eat less of it.
Did it possibly gave you malnutrition? Probably, but anything to keep the ration steady for another day.
Safe to say, or.. Uhh.. Guilty to confess, none of you really spare any thought for Lance. All of you kept him alive, since he's the only repair guy in the ship.
But after that two incidents? Yeah, Lance is pretty much the bottom in the small and tilted heirachy your crew established.
Though with the way Lance begged you to just check the ship's radar did.. Irked you a bit. So you indulge into his paranoia for once.
You didn't see anything in the radar nor in the signal. You double-checked it, triple-checked it, and there's nothing.
With that logic, there's also nothing in the cameras around the outside of your ship. You didn't look at the cameras personally, but.. C'mon, there's nothing on the radar.
It's been nearly four days since Lance told you about the weird ship he saw outside while doing his best to repair the damage he'd done.
Which to you, probably means he saw a weirdly shaped asteroid. Maverick is steering the ship near to an asteroid belt after all.
But everytime you sent him out to fix something, he always looked at the camera and asked you.
Obviously you did, and there's NOTHING.
Though you didn't say that to his face.. Nor in the speakers. You haven't even spoken to him for a long time now.
But today.. Or night, is different.
This time, he insistently knocked on the ship's shuttle door, begging to be inside.
Which you let in, of course. You may be a petty asshole but you're not a sadist.
You're quite sure Maverick saw his display on his own camera.
This time, however, he's more frantic.
"IT'S HERE-! IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE! THE SHIP FROM BEFORE!"
He's most definitely experiencing some sort of space madness.
You sighed and groaned at the half-offlined cameras, holding the blanket tighter around your form. You checked the signal and radar once again.. Yep, nothing.
You leaned back on your sit and grabbed your cup of water, slowly sipping it as you watch Lance hurriedly remove his spacesuit.
You were about to ignore it again, but the way he's.. Uhh.. Running around the halls and- oh gosh, telling Sierra the 'ship' he saw.. Which promptly got him a confused yet unimpressed look from the medic.
"Is it one of ours?" She asked.
"... Great, you're hallucinating"
Is what you heard from the speakers.
Ugh, fine.. You supposed you have to check the area once again for this supposed 'alien ship'. It's probably just another massive asteroid.
Unlike popular media that came before the whole catalystic event that destroyed Earth. None of the humans have even seen some sort of alien life outside. Granted, they also haven't seen any habitable planet to live in.
And it's been what? 90 years after that event? Yeah.
You once again checked the radar, signals and even recently the cameras.
You nearly forgot about the cameras.
You only kept certain number of cameras online to preserve the ship's energy. The front cameras, side cameras, but not the back cameras. After all, your little crew has been travelling for a year now and you never even seen something following you.
You started the code to online the miscellaneous cameras to finally see this 'weird ship' your resident repair guy kept talking about and..
You dropped your cup of water..
There is an.. Alien ship on the back.. Following you..
How.. How did the signal not even see it?!
You slapped yourself on the forehead. Ah, fuck. Right, alien ship- different technology.
Ah fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck-
Which, after a quick check on your cameras outside.. Yeah, it's still there. It actually does look sharp, pointy and very huge.
First contact of alien life and it's a huge and menacing.. Purple ship following your crew.
Ah fuck, you realize you owe Lance a huge apology.
"Mauve?" You called Maverick, he never liked being called 'captain', "Did you see it?"
"See what?" He casually asked after a few moments, "The way Lance ran inside? Yeah. Did an asteroid hit him or something?"
Fuck, you forgot he never checked the cameras since that's YOUR job. Guy barely move his eyes away from the FRONT of the ship.
Wordlessly, you sent the camera feed on his monitor.
After a few moments of silence, the ship tilted as the engine suddenly roared, faster than you expected.
A movement you obviously didn't expect and caused you to fall down your seat, letting go the blanket you covered yourself with.
"Move slower!" You shouted over the speaker.
"How can I move slower when that huge thing is following us!?" He shouted over you.
You groaned at the floor as you stood up, holding your seat as support and strapped yourself onto it.
"How long?" He asked you when the ship suddenly made a sharp turn.
"How long what!?" You replied, putting the right codes, making multiple mistakes just so your ship could form a shield.
All the while the alien spaceship silently looked above you.
"How long has it been following us!?" He repeated as the engines roared.
You heard him stutter over the speakers, "what do you mean, you don't know?! That's your job!"
"How would I know!?" You also repeated, sending the live camera feed to him once again, the alien ship doesn't even look like it's moving while yours kept trying to escape it.
"It never appeared on any of our signals! And you know damn well that I keep most cameras offline!" By that point, Sierra who recently just threw out Lance out of her medbay noticed the commotion since the cabinets started swaying to ship's movement.
"What's going on? Why are we moving?" She asked over the speakers, specifically, the speakers that allowed everyone to hear what she said.
"Nothing, everything's fine"
"Alien ship following us"
You and Maverick said at the same time.
You barely saw Sierra blinked in confusion while you operated the weapon system. Normally, this job was supposed to be for the co-captain but apparently, you- the software engineer, is also in charge of it.
"What!?" She shouted over the speakers. You aimed the weapons directly at the ship, just for precaution. Though with the size of it, you knew it would barely make a dent.
So far, the ship hasn't made any move nor signs to finally give you the reason to shoot at it. Unless you count that it has been following your crew for a while now.. For.. For four days now.
If you haven't ignored Lance's distraught look, there might have been a chance to escape.
Maverick looks so distraught at the whole ordeal right now, he's not even looking at the map he meticulously put together. Sierra, that poor girl doesn't even know what to do, right now she's putting medicines and medkits into a bag. And Lance? Hiding in the repair room.
Even so, the aliens are still following them even when your ship is at maximum speed. Maverick tends to keep the engine at a low speed so that the fuel could last long. Your mission to find a suitable habitat is practically gone since none of you are specialized to even study it, and all of you just cared for survival.
But now, with the amount if turns and shifts Maverick did for it to leave. You're practically watching the fuel reserve slowly trickling down and the engine shouting at the sudden use.
After some time, carefully watching and switching your gaze between cameras. You noticed something wrong, you kept seeing asteroid debris all over the ship. Not big enough for it to be a problem, but plenty enough for it to be a possibility.
After another check from all of the cameras, you realized your ship is heading directly into an asteroid field.
"Maverick!" You shouted, not caring the fact that you used the public speakers, "What the hell are you doing!?"
"Are you trying to get us killed!?" You shouted once more, putting another code to the system to override the ship's route. You didn't manage to put it last time this particular scenario happened. Lance practically injured the whole thing trying to pilot it around the asteroids.
Poor Sunshine, a beautiful and a well built space ship, but she got stuck with the worst crew imaginable.
"No! Do NOT put it back on autopilot!" Maverick shouted, finally somewhat regaining some of his senses. "If we go through this belt, then the aliens might leave us!"
"Might? You're risking our lives on a possibility?!" You responded. You already input the code to override the ship into an autopilot through the system, which causes the ship to suddenly stir out to the side.
"It's the best option we got! The asteroids can hide us from them, if I could just avoid any of it!"
What kind of logic is that!?!
Ignoring the painted wheeze that came out from your mouth, you checked the radars once again. There is still no signal from any other ship. You checked the cameras once again.. The ever present alien ship.. Seems to be glowing on the bottom.
No.. Wait. The bottom, it's opening- a hatch- it's opening a shuttle hatch.
You were about to send the message on Maverick through his camera, when the ship suddenly turned.
"No!" You heard him shout.
That idiot put it back on manual.
Good thing you have yourself strapped already on your seat, but it still hurts since you felt the sudden turn of the ship through your upper half. Groaning in pain while you still tried to take a hold on the ship's motherboard.
On the camera, you saw Sierra grabbed tightly on her medical bed, and Lance hitting the wall and not moving- no doubt, passed out from the sudden impact.
Warnings field the cameras. Every screen onlined is showing nothing but the debris that can potentially damage the ship. Unfortunately, you were the only one apart from Maverick to know what exactly is going on, and like hell you're gonna let that happen.
Though at this point, you begin to wonder. Is it better to die in the hands of an unknown alien, or die inside an exploding ship?
You'd rather not know which one you prefer right now.
"Shit-!" You once again tried to override the system, this plan of his would only work in fiction. And despite the fact that Maverick had graduated from his piloting class, there still aren't enough experience for him to actively dodge everything in front of him.
Heck, he didn't even have any experience on flying an actual ship unless you count the training ones before you escaped the station.
You completed the code in record time, and was about to enter it once again to the system when suddenly- an asteroid hit the ship, causing your body to lurch out of the seat, if it weren't for the seatbelt- you would have hit your head in the console.
You groaned on pain as you hold your chest, trying to keep your breathing steady and eyes focused. Although, no matter how much you tried to keep it together, you can feel yourself getting dizzy by the second. From the direction, it most definitely hit the front and with the sudden movement, the ship must have hit another one from the side.
Because of that sudden tilt, you heard a crack in your chest, and your breathing tightened.
And by the looks of the red light and flashing warning, together with your blurring eyes? An override couldn't fix any of this.
You stared at the cameras once again. Trying to see the other crew members.
Sierra had most definitely tried to go into to the evacuation pods, potentially leaving all of you if she had succeeded. Though, right now, she's passed out on the hallway, clutching a medkit. Lance didn't even get up from his last position, and from what it looks like, there's a bit of blood oozing out from his side.
And Maverick? Head laying on the console of the ship, his hand slowly falling down to his side. The impact of that asteroid most certainly affected him the most.
The ship is practically moving continuously towards the asteroids, following it's last order from the captain. Hitting every asteroid with no care for the life it stored.
Huh, looks like you're gonna die inside an exploding ship.
Who would have thought, first contact with aliens and this is how you would end up.
You felt your eyes slowly filled with darkness as you struggle to breath.
The last thing you remembered is the ship abruptly stopping with a loud noise, before your eyes went out.
THE DECEPTICONS couldn't believe it.
When Soundwave said he found a small ship near the nemesis at one point in their meetings.
But what comes next surprises them.
"Sparkling: present. Location: Found outside ship."
"A sparkling?" Starscream drawled, "Really, Soundwave? Do you honestly expect any of us to believe that?"
Soundwave ignored the ridiculous look Starscream is giving him and opted to stare directly at Megatron.
Now Megatron knew that Soundwave never lies to him. But.. He can't help but share Starscream's suspicions.
"Soundwave, there haven't been any sparkling created ever since we lost the allspark" He carefully said to his third-in-command. He knew how defensive Soundwave reacts to.. Younglings.
"What about the combaticons?"
"They're already alive beforehand, Starscream just put them in a new frame"
Megatron didn't need to look to see if its Skywarp- but that's beside the point.
"Are you sure what you saw is certain?" He asked once again, in which Soundwave nodded.
"Sparkling: seen outside ship. Possibly playing. Sparkling: Saw Nemesis and ran back inside. Presumably to safety" He continued. He placed a video feed in the middle of the table.
In the video, they saw what Soundwave thinks is a sparkling. Though unlike what they know of. This sparkling is covered with a weird white cloth all over it's frame and a.. Circular helm?
That.. That can't be right.
"Is it.. Injured? Why does it have that around his helm?" Thundercracker asked beside Skywarp who is leaning closer to the table.
"It's a seeker, right?" Skywarp said with confidence, "I mean, it is flying outside"
"Negative. Sparkling: connected to wire inside the ship. Seeker: possibility low."
Starscream blinked his optics and looked closer, "Can you zoom it, at least?" He said, with Soundwave already doing so.
Even when zoomed, the Decepticons present in the table are even more confused.
"Why is it white? At that age, they should have color, right?"
"More importantly, why is it tied up?"
"Is that- is it playing with fire?! What its doing with the ship?"
"Isn't it just me, or is the ship... Small?"
"I can't believe their caretaker is allowing this!"
They all turned to looked at Soundwave, just as the 'sparkling' went inside the ship on the holovid.
"Detected sparklings: four. Caretakers detected: none. Sparklings: possibly abandoned."
No, That couldn't possibly right.
"Soundwave.. Are you telling us" Megatron slowly said, his optics staring directly at the holovid.
"That you found a ship.. Of abandoned sparklings in the middle of the galaxy?"
Soundwave nodded, "affirmative"
"Then pray tell, Soundwave" Megatron said, helm lifting up to meet his communications officer's visor, "If that.. Is indeed a sparkling, explain to us how it survived. Cause as far as we know, none of us nor the Autobots have created one for a millenia"
Soundwave looked down on the holovid, silently changing the screen to a different video he managed to took.
In the screen it shows.. Four.. Organic creatures in different screens.
Megatron stared at it in apprehension.
"OH- ew!" One of the construction said.
Megatron resetted his optics, "Soundwave, what is the meaning of this?"
Soundwave looked at the holovid once more. He couldn't explain it as well. What Megatron said was right. Statiscally speaking, no sparklings should have been made but obviously, that fact was a lie.
When in front of them, are organics that have shown spark signals.
"Soundwave: does not know answer."
"Oh, so you just showed us four disgusting creatures-?"
"Spark signals: does NOT lie." Soundwave said, glaring directly at Starscream.
He returned his gaze at his leader, who is staring at the.. Malnourished organic sparklings.
"Sparklings: four detected. Sparklings: Routing towards asteroid belt"
Megatron could feel Soundwave's gaze hardened on him.
"Ship: heavily damaged. No caretakers at sight."
Follow the sparklings discreetly and take them inside the Nemesis before they could hit the asteroid belt.
Now obviously, the entire decepticons ship has heard about the news.
And obviously, they all want to see what lost sparklings look like, and none of the high commmand are surprised to hear their reaction.
Soundwave is everything that Megatron expect, but he is not a liar.
If Soundwave said those are sparklings, then those.. Oddly looking organic creatures are sparklings.
Though what Soundwave did said irked most of the Decepticons alike.
Where were the caretakers? As far as they know, they just let the sparklings go out the comfort of the ship to play with fire at the hulls.
"You don't think they're actually sparklings, do you?"
Were words that Megatron kept hearing from around the Nemesis.
But the signals, the protocols.. Don't lie.
As of now, their ship has been spotted cycles ago by one of the sparklings. The same one that kept going out to play.
If their theory is true, that their caretakers is practically nonexistent, given just how much that one sparkling kept leaving. Then who is piloting the ship?
It couldn't be another sparkling.. Right?
By the looks of the sparkling they saw, they couldn't be older than a vorn at best.
What they didn't expect however.. Was for the ship to suddenly stir and move through the asteroid belt.
Causing damage to the ship.. And endangering the sparklings.
Starscream shouted at the sight of the ship "THE SPARKLINGS" He snapped, despite being so skeptical earlier and immediately ordered his trine to get the sparklings in safety without even waiting for Megatron to order him.
It was only moments after until they saw the unconscious sparklings on the Nemesis' medbay.
One is found in the communication room, bleeding over their forehead.
One is found hiding in the storage room, bumps and scratches littering his body.
One is found in the hallway near the escape pod, holding tightly to a medic kit.
And the one operating the ship is found in the cockpit with a bleeding forehead and broken arms..
They don't even look cybertronian, with their organic body but their systems.. Their guardian protocol shouts at them to heal and fix the sparklings- to care for them..
Where were there caretakers?
Megatron was even surprised to see Soundwave who manages to hack the ship's computer system and now holding the sparkling's respective files.. Complete with their full name, age, birthplace, occupation and job..
These were adults? They were considered adults on their home planet? And by the looks of their culture and beliefs, these sparklings were supposed to be placed on a dangerous mission across the galaxy?!
The Decepticons couldn't even believe it, knockout nearly fainted at the sight of the bleeding sparklings to the point that he completely ignored the fact that they are Organics! They are barely the size of their servotip!
And with Soundwave managing to decode their language.. It just got worse.
All Decepticons found the tapes and recordings that hold everything that happened inside their ship.
The sudden evacuation which caused the fights.
The 1st asteroid belt incident that permanently ruined their friendship..
And all of the recordings shared by all four sparklings that just showed how immature all of them are, how they act by emotion rather than logic.. How childish they act despite being in a dangerous situation..
Organic or not, these are sparklings..
And Megatron couldn't ignore how his spark ached, and he knew his Decepticons felt the same..
One thing for certain, these sparklings will never be in danger again...
