What a hideous face! Anyways. Thanks for tuning in. As you can tell by the hideous summary, this is a Deltarune au but uh. Weirder. Iont... Iont KNOW how else to describe it to you DAWG.

Tldr; This Deltarune Au Centers around The Vessel (and by proxy, the player) replacing Kris. Kris is just straight up MISSING and that's (not really) your fault!! So, other than finding them, the vessel takes up the role of being the town's only human. (Whether they attempt to replace kris or not, I'll... I'll get back to you on that one!) Anyways enjoy the [[Carnage]]

The Player (And their Vessel.)

I've written before that the Player and the Vessel are two different entities. Despite when being together, so I think it's about time I show the "Player" of Weirdrune. (Or I guess the player's will? It's a strange catch-all embodiment.)

And although the Player, when connected to the Vessel, the two practically are the same personality-wise, the Player sharing their will and guiding the Vessel.

The Player embodied without a Vessel is effectively just pure determination, they are the will of the "individual on the outside." the Player is incredibly detached when it comes to the reality of the inside, though retains information from their experience with Undertale.

Despite the player's fondness (not respect or love) for the lightners and darkners, in the end, to them, they are just characters. I would say that the Player is somewhat in the early stages of Flowey's mentality. Their boredom, pride and curiosity often outshine the fondness they have.

If the Player is the embodiment of resolve to do anything, then the Vessel is the inverse, hesitation from the Vessel keeps the Player's boundless curiosity from hurting it or others.

The Vessel and the Player would make a great team together in theory, but in practice?

Its always messy.

Susie's Light world Reference. I changed up some of her design up from this post and if you are looking for additional information, I have the Tenna & Queen post and Friendly Rivalry Post to look at.

I would like to think she's Tutored by Toriel, and that their first interaction led to a whole many more, and that Toriel has offloaded some hand-me-downs from Asriel to the Susiezilla. Despite her fresh new dorky digs, she's still about the same as the original, albeit she's already warmed up to everyone by the time the Vessel meets her.

I would like to think she fits in with the rest of the nerdy kids over the interest of fantasy (Susie without escapism is like, apple pie without the apples.) though most of her interest in fantasy ends up circling back to wanting to play a "big winged lizard that destroys buildings."

I forgot I never have mentioned Burghley up to this point. So here he is. These two are insufferable when near each other at all.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what occurs in Chapter 2.

Concept art of the Prince of Pranks. I absconded from the idea of De-Hatting Ralsei for this au, as I believe with a much different main cast, Ralsei might be seen through a lens of someone else's memories. The Prince of Pranks takes Lancer's role in the story (As Lancer is unfortunately stuck with Roulx) and would be a minor, very minor antagonist in the first chapter. I like the idea that Ralsei would attempt to misdirect our heroes into completely different areas, trying to sow mistrust of Essd into Noelle and The Vessel.

Sort of like "Guys guys! I'm the real prince of the prophecy, you should follow me into this section of the forest because that FAKER is trying to lead you two into a trap!!!" Before Noelle and The Vessel end up having to fight C. Round or something along those lines.

The artwork of Weirdrune Tenna and Queen intrigue me. What are they like in this au? Related question: do chapters 2+3 of weirdrune still take place in the computer lab and Kris' house respectively or do they take place in different locations?

Good question. EUURRRRHHHHHHH... Checking my fabricated notes that I didn't just make up on the spot right now.

I like to think their locations have stayed the same, but their spots in the story have not. I like to think the Vessel and Noelle end up being Study buddies with Susie and Burghley, and end up going to the Dreemur home for convenient purposes (And stay the night, as ever so convenient for that homeless nerd of a vessel.) And the Library happens in Chapter 3, where Noelle and the Vessel *Attempt* to go to the library after school, leave (with noelle's laptop inside) and before noelle can retrieve it, more shenanigans occur. As for what Tenna and Queen are like? I like to think that Tenna is this "coolkid fatcat" (emphasis on the quotation marks.) Who has recently gained a new audience of just one (Suuser) and has made a dramatic 180 shift of personality based off less of tv and more of the wild wild world of shitty 2000s consoles. Tee-El-Dee-Ar, Tenna's learned what xbox live chat is and had the parental controls turned off. Queen in this au, is more or less not just a singular library laptop, but Noelle's OUTDATED laptop, and by golly and GEE she is one outdated Gal. Queen still acts her usual self, but is much more personalized in knowing everything about Noelle (Albeit, a lot of that information is incredibly outdated) from Cat Petterz 2, to her blog, to Dragon Blazers and Crappy bands. Queen thinks she knows everything, and that at least her internet is still modern and the sorts, but.... frankly she hasn't had online access in a VERY long time. All of what she knows is outdated. lol.

I'd imagine Tenna would be the chapter 2 boss. He's had a lot more attention than usual thanks to Susie.

what’s susie’s deal in this au?

All sketches say she's fairing much better than the others. Don't be fooled by the scholarly appearance though, she'll still avoid as much actual class time as possible.

Concept art for the Crown of the Clowns... When the people of the card kingdom imprisoned their King of Spades deep within his own castle, they had no rules, no order, and it was all chaos, chaos! Until the court magician wormed his way into the hearts of the people.

He convinced them that freedom needed no lighteners, that with no desire, they could do anything, anything. The crown of clowns will never admit that his truths were not his own, aided by a prince convinced to his side and a mysterious benefactor, but the cards don't need to know that.

When the king of spades had come across that soulless knight, and granted the gift that was that of a crystal of shadow, no common mind believed the truth he had seen, and locked him away. Now all the cards adhere to is chaos, chaos, now that the clown around town has taken the crown.

King takes Jevil's place in this universe, in which I had a ball of a time making this hamster man into a solid design. (There also is the slightest appearance of Queen in this picture, though I won't yet admit who's role she takes...) I'm still a little unsure about how his boss fight would look like, let alone an idea for his quest. So suggestions are always open! Me like this hamster man. Perhaps I draw him again more.

What is the relationship between Noelle and Vessel?

In the short terms of a very lengthy document into a couple of words: "Complicated one-sided hostility turns into a mutual loyalty with one-sided awkwardness (this time, from the opposite party!)"

I want to keep their dynamic similar to Susie and Kris's, especially in the way that their relationship might end out in some tragedy by the later chapters, but for completely different reasons that may or may not be obvious.
