The Get Together (All Ocs)
I arrive at Jacksonâs apartment and knock on the door. Weâve all been to each others houses before, but something didnât feel right. I must have forgotten to solve a problem for a science project. Not a big deal, but itâll be bothering me this whole time. But what if it was important? Was is that thing due tomorrow? Oh dear God. Let it not be that. Was it-
âALEXANDER!?â I jump and look at Jackson, who I hadnât noticed until then. I feel my face get hot and I ruffle my hair, chuckling nervously.
âSorry. I didnât notice you there, Jacksonâ
He folds his arms and raises an eyebrow. âLet me guess. Doing math problems in your head again?â
âYeah. Something like that at least.â He steps aside and letâs me in his penthouse. I look around, seeing that it was the same as always. I quickly take my shoes off and put them beside the door. I walk over to the living room and look around his apartment. Itâs such an open floor plan and so modern. Itâs mostly neutral colors, but with some splashes of color here and then. Thereâs already a tv show playing and I look at it, seeing that itâs brain games.
âHey, Jackson?â He walked over to the living room and leaned against the wall.
âWhat do yaâ need?â
âWere you watching Brain Games?â He nods and stands up straight.
âYeah. I love finding stuff out about the brain, since Iâm a doctor. I donât want you lecturing me on it though, so donât start. If you want food or drinks, thereâs some in the kitchen.â I nod and sit down, interested in the tv show. As I watch it, I hear rain start to fall and smile to myself.
As I run down the fire escape of a random builing, I sing a silent song of praise that i brought my hoodie. It just started raining and Iâm right next to Jacksonâs building. I pick up my pace and jump off the last landing of it, not wanting to hassle with the ladder. I run out of the alley and onto the sidewalk, where I run into his building, now soaked.
I go over to the elevator and press the up button, waiting patiently. I hate being late to things, even though Jackson doesnât care if I am. I practically jump into the elevator and quickly press the 8th floor button. The elevator doors close a few seconds later and it starts to go up. I shake the rain out of my hair as best as I can, but to no avail.
The doors slide open onto his floor and I quickly walk over to Jacksonâs door. I knock and wait, patiently for him to open it. He opens it a little bit later and looks down at me.
âHey Lilli. Come on in. Alexander is in the living room, watching Brain Gamesâ I walk in and take my flats off. I take my hoodie off and look over at Jackson.
âThanks for inviting meâ He does a slight nod and starts walking away. âWhere do you want me to put my hoodie?â
âYou can hang it up on the rack by the door or put it over a chair. I donât really careâ He says over his shoulder, as he walks into the kitchen. I go to the living room and see Alexander sitting on the couch, intently watching the tv.
âHey Xâ He looks up at me and smiles, waving at me. I walk over and sit by him, crossing my legs and straightening out my skirt. âHow are you?â
âIâm soaked from the rain, even my tail is wet so kinda madâ
âAsk Jackson for some towels to dry your tail thenâ
âHeâs in the kitchenâ Alex finally looks over at me and shakes his head
âJackson. Where are your towels? Lilliâs tail is soakedâ He straightens himself up a bit, so he can try to look into the kitchen.
âI have some in hereâ Jackson walks over to the living room and throws a towel down to us. Alexander tries to catch it before it hits me, but it lands on my head before he can.
âSorry. Let me grab that for youâ I take it off of my head, laughing, and smile at him.
âNo. Itâs fine. I got itâ I unrolled my tail from underneath my dress and started rubbing it with the towel. âWas I late?â I ask Alexander.
âNope. You were right on time. I was just early because I had nothing better to doâ
âGood. I hate being lateâ We continue to start talking smart talk, until I make the mistake of asking him about his job. He rambling on about science and talking my ear off about it, but Iâm too nice to ask him to stop.
The elevator opens to Jacksonâs floor and I grab Cassieâs wheelchair handle bars, pushing her out of the elevator. Anastasia follows behind us and walks over to his door, just opening it and walking in. I sigh and shake my head at her.
âAnastasia. Knock before you enter next timeâ Cassie tells her after she does so. Jackson walks over and sighs, glaring at Anastasia.
âYou couldâve waited until I got to the doorâ
âYeah. Well. You wouldâve taken too long to get to the doorâ Jackson glares at her and looks over at Cassie and I.
âYou guys may come in, since you guys waited for me to come to the door and youâre a bitch, Anastasia. Next time wait for me to come to the door. Alex is talking Lilliâs ear off about science and math in my living room.â My heart flutters at the mention of his name and I smile like a child on Christmas. âIâll be in the kitchen, waiting for more people to arriveâ He goes to the kitchen and Anastasia follows him there. I briskly walk over to where Alex is and wave at Lilli. Lilli waves back to me and waves at Cassie as she wheels up to the couch.
I smile at Alex and raise an eyebrow âSo I heard youâve been talking Lilliâs ear off about science and math?â Lilli giggles and her ears twitch.
âIâm okay with it. I like learning new thingsâ Alex smiles and nods, blushing slightly.
âYeah. I was. I have this one procedure due tomorrow and I get to start it maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I canât wait for itâ I look over at Cassie and she seems to be falling asleep. I nod to answer Alex and smile at Cassie nodding off.
âHow about we sit down away from Cassie, so she can sleep? And you can tell me all about the projectâ He smiles at me and sits down on the couch. I sit next to him, as he starts blabbering away about the project.
