Design work for an indie game i worked on, 2016-2018
More Flight Rising foddart ! This adorable Guardian lady is Nimue, from user FelineHearted. Thanks for commissioning me !
Fun fact : Guardian dragons are canonically huge. Apparels are scaled to the dragon picture. The cat is an apparel. So when I showed the drawing to my friend @stupefox she said "but ... this cat is HUGE !" :p
(she was right but also the customer and I were happy to ignore canon sizes)

05.11 - The Red Star Jelly
undiagnosed autistic people will be like "I don't get upset when my routine changes though!!" and it's because they've built a set of if-then loops in their head to pick from one of 6 different strict routines and they do get incredibly upset when they're unable to keep to any of the 6 scripts. I'm john normal
This is called a fault tree. You will always know how to act if your fault tree captures all possible scenarios. In NASA Mission Control during mission critical events like landings there are huge binders with fault tree protocols, kind of like choose your own adventure books except you’re not the one making the choices, the universe is making them for you and you’re just trying to keep up.
The engineers who develop fault trees, I am told, often imagine new ways for their precious spacecraft to die (new branches on the fault trees) either while in the shower or lying awake at 3am, because human
Was just thinking about this the other day. Yeah I have a favorite seat on the bus (middle of the bus, near the back doors, slightly elevated, facing forward), but I don’t get upset if someone is already sitting there, I just pick one of my other favorite spots. Then I realized that most people probably don’t have a favorite bus seat, let alone a series of backup favorites.
More Flight Rising foddart ! This lovely lad is Kas for user Kasarian. Thanks for commissioning me !
For this one I had fun with a more textured brush for the shadows and highlights and enjoyed it very much ! I liked doing the scales effect too.
Reblog from my art side-blog !
I have finally taken the opportunity to post my Mistral Jamboree foddart art ! (yes it was in march, but I live to a very slow time frame lol)
This traditional art piece was for a dragon named Red, belonging to user AppleSentry. Thanks for commissioning me ! This one was hard because I'm not used to drawing fierce-looking dragons but I fought hard and I'm proud of the result !
Reblog from my art side blog (:
Some of my Flight Rising dragons in traditional media !
From top to bottom, left to right : Nerubi, Nethyn, and my favorite couple of eldritch horror enthusiasts, Reibos and Oshari ! (I had a lot of fun writing their bio and even now I sometimes take a re-read and chuckle :p )
This was done in preparation for Mistral Jamborre : I participated in the foddart event for the festival and wanted some examples of traditional art (:
Reblog my my art side blog (:
Tag Ten Characters From Ten Fandoms
Thanks for the tag @fondofeveryprickle 💕
1. Sakura Haruka (Wind Breaker)
One of my favorite characters in all of media, I absolutely adore him and all the character growth he’s had, you can absolutely tell how much care Nii-sensei put into writing him<3
2. Wei Wuxian (MDZS)
My other favorite character in all of media. What can I say about him that hasn’t already been said? He’s perfect<333
3. Kanna (Love Bullet)
I am a sucker for both yuri and devotion, so naturally I adore Kanna. The manga has only recently started, but I’m so excited to see more of her<3
4. Riza Hawkeye (FMA)
I love badass women and I am very gay for her. She could step on me and I’d thank her<3
5. Xia Fei (Link Click)
He’s such a cutie, I only want good things for him (which he’s unlikely to get from the looks of things twt)
6. Xie Lian (TGCF)
He had me hooked from the start and was such a fun character to follow, 10/10 would give him any and all scraps he wanted<3
7. Noi (dorohedoro)
Noi is the answer to my prayers for badass buff woman who are actually drawn with muscles (FINALLY, someone understands the assignment)
8. Elanor (The Good Place)
I support women’s wrongs<3 It’s so refreshing to have a character like her who’s just a total jerk but still done in a way that makes her endearing, and of course her character growth was incredible. 10/10 character, 10/10 show
9. Ash Lynx (BananaFish)
He deserved better </3
10. Arc (final fantasy III)
My son. I love when characters have freckles. FF3 was my first final fantasy game and will always have a special place in my heart<3
Tagging @jiangwanyinscatmom @origami-penguin @preludianstaves @oneeyedoctogod @anyone else who wants to<3
Thank you very much for tagging me <3
Allen Walker - D.Gray-man
One of my OG baby! DGM was the first manga I discovered (and bought! Well, chose so that whichever of my parent was with me at the time could buy it) by myself. I think I was twelve?
He has white hair, he has a cursed eye who turn red, he has a tragic backstory (layers of tragedy even), he loves, loves, loves, so much and so many, he is desperate to save everyone, even at the cost of himself, and his motto is to keep going, even as everything just gets darker and bloodier and the lines get muddier. Who wouldn't love him? (even his enemies love him!)
Kaneki Ken - Tokyo Ghoul
Anyway, he has white hair, he has an eye who turn red, he has a tragic backstory (layers of tragedy even) aaaaand he's so traumatized by everything that happened to him that he just go deeper and deeper in a world he used to fear, to the point of becoming the very monster he used to hate... But then again, he's no stranger to hating himself so does it matter? He's so fucked up, I love him.
Sephiroth - Final Fantasy 7
You'll be happy to know he doesn't have white hair (it's silver) and no red eyes either cursed or not! Another of the OG. I could have chosen Cloud from the same fandom because he's my love just as much as Sephiroth is but I wanted at least one villain on the list, to honor my villain lover title. He's also got a tragic backstory but damn does he take the mommy issues too far (granted I'm one to talk, it's not impossible I would also destroy the entire world and declare myself a god because of my mom). Also I love his relationship (enemyship?) with Cloud. One chases the other, the other doesn't give a fuck and then it switches. Obligatory mention to the One-Winged Angel theme too which is just. The best. Love it. brb gotta listen to it again.
Wei Wuxian - MDZS
Do I have to explain? He's so cool. He's the best. He will do the right thing even if he's the only one to, he has SUCH COOL necromancy powers that show off his kindness and his ability to understand and empathize with people. He's our guiding light and I love him. And everyone else that matters does too, and that make all the suffering worth it.
Bonus for the red eye of the donghua xD
Kamui Shiro - X 1999
No red eyes or white hair but tragic backstory and suffering are there! RIP to the slice of life school manga / anime this could have been (cute romance with the childhood friend included), gotta decide to save or destroy humanity first! Also suffer. Suffer a lot. Oh boy does that boy get to suffer. Homoerotically suffer even (it's CLAMP). This was my first hm proper CLAMP and it rewired my brain chemistry. No regrets.
Neil Josten - All For The Game
(by agatha)
No red eyes or white hair this time either but Neil gets another of my favorite things ever: scars. Tragic backstory is here as well (but don't worry, he's fine). What I love the most about Neil (aside from his suffering) is that he goes against all his instincts. First for the love of the game and his interest in Kevin, then for Andrew and all the Foxes. Also he's such a mouthy little shit, 10/10 will aggro everyone if you let him run free. A perfect boy who is always fine (do not let him out of your sight, he'll get kidnapped. Again.)
Penelope Eckhart - Villains are Destined to Die
Time for the giiiiirls. You know my type by now it's "protagonist who suffers a lot" and boy does Penelope suffers. She tries so hard to follow the game's rules, to reach that good ending. Surely nothing can go wrong :) I love that Penelope is ready to do a lot just to survive, and that at the same time the pressure builds and builds until... Well. She's my girl and she's gone through so much but I just know she'll make it (and that's not just because of genre conventions. She's a survivor) <3 I haven't read the novel yet but the manwha is gorgeous.
Rudbeckia de Borgia -How to Win My Husband Over
I'm due for a reread of that one. Again, a survivor who finds herself in terrible circumstances and a tragic backstory (my girls do not fare much better than my boys I'll be honest) and yet!! She tries to play the cute positive girl so much! She wants to live so badly despite all the trauma and she is so so so strong. Also she lies to herself. A lot. Another "everything's fine" one.
Shuri von Neuschwanstein - The Fantaisie of a Stepmother
Since it's the same author than How to win your husband over, it tackles similar tropes (though not all the same, and not necessarily in the same way). Still, we find again the tragic backstory (and so much tragedy in general, yummy) but also Shuri is NOT ready to lie down and take it. She did it once, she can do it again and better even! Again, the manwha is also absolutely gorgeous.
Marianne - Marianne
I needed a villain here too, didn't I? She's a story, she's a nightmare, she's a book character, she's a ghost, she's a witch and she never goes back empty-handed (Je suis Marianne et je ne repars jamais sans rien).
Marianne is such a great villain. She haunts Emma (and the show) so much that even saying her name is enough to get her attention... And her name's the title! Also I love her finale form. For the entire show she's dirt and gore and fear and now? Now she's this innocent-looking young woman, who just wants Emma to take her hand. Such a cool show. I should watch it again.
Koga Mitsuki - The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't A Guy At All
What's this? A NOT TRAGIC CHARACTER??? IN THIS LIST???? What a surprising twist for the finale! But what can I do, she's punk, she likes rock, she's gender goals, and her love story is so so so cute. And hey, I like cute, fluffy stuff too sometimes. I am a person of unfathomable depths, with many layers.
Some runners Up, just for fun: Lan Wangji (MDZS), Xue Yang (MDZS), Xie Lian (TGCF), Jun Wu (TGCF), Andrew Minyard (TGCF), Road Kamelott (DGM), Tiky Mikk (DGM), Lust (FMA), Envy (FMA), Jamie Moriarty (Elementary), Joan Watson (Elementary), Emma Larsimmon (Marianne)
Tagging: @welgansheer, @admirableadmiranda, @stupefox, @origami-penguin, and everyone else who wants to do it!
(Am I supposed to reblog this ? won't it become way too long ? But there's worse problems to have than an line up of cool characters I guess)
so hum
1- Cliopher Mdang
Viceroy of Zunidh, Tanà of the World - from the Hands of the Emperor (and sequels/prequels)
(he's a book character, so no official picture, here' the book cover instead)
Always tending to the fire. <3 I can't begin to say how much he means to me. He was the first accurate representation I've read of some of traits that are very personal to me and he got me genuinely crying over it. Representation matters and you understand it when you read your own thoughts on a page a realize you never had before. But Cliopher is also very diferent from me, he has depth, and I loved to explore his culture and his relationships as his story unfolded. I hold him close to my heart.
He's also a god-damn competent government official and I dream of a Kip Mdang as a president really.

2- Idaea
Scientist with both a strong sense of ethics and duty - From Outer Wilds
(showing what I believe to be his skeleton would be a spoiler so here's a picture of a non-specified Nomai as they are represented in the game)
My favorite nomai from Outer Wilds (one of the best games ever, a puzzle/exploration game with one of the best story that can be, best experienced blind so if that's your jam please don't look up and go for it!!). I've never met him, as he's long dead when the game begins, I've only ever found his writings, but the strong sense of morality and duty in his interactions struck me. He was against a project, but when the community voted for it, he did his duty and worked as one of the lead engineers. The context of the game paints a portrait of him I like very much.
-----
3- Fréminet
From Genshin Impact
(illustration : official artwork, that's his card illustration in the tcg in game)
He's a 4 star character so I pulled him when I was pulling for another character, probably a 5 star, I don't remember who. And look, he was from a region I was far from (Fontaine) story-wise, I had no idea who he was and I wasn't interested. But I had pulled him so I browsed his character profile as I always do and listened to his voice lines. And ... I just fell in love ! He's such a sweet boy, I went from "idk who's that guy" to "if anything happens to him i'll kill everyone in the room and then myself" in the span of 5 minutes, just listening to his voice and what he said. He's one of my mains !
---
3- Zale
Sollicitor-sacrosanct from the Temple of the White Rat - From Swordheard and other novels in the same world
(they're also a book character with no official representation that I know of so here's the cover from the book I first discovered them in - and I think their first chronological appearance)
Zale is a religious lawyer from my favorite fictional religion, the Temple of the White Rat (their whole thing is to fix problems and appoint lawyers to people who can't afford them, and I genuinely think that was I living in this world, I may have taken the cloth). I love them as a character, and they were also one of the first non-binary characters I read in a novel (gender identity is not a topic of the book and the world is queernormative, they were just "they/them" not questions asks the same way a woman is called "she/her" immediately as we meet her character even without her saying so).
I have kinda in mind to do a Zale cosplay at some point <3
-----
4- Edwin
Happily married crow shapeshifter - From Crow Time webcomic
(official Crow Time merch, I own this poster I hung it up above my bed ! I love secondlina's art style. Take a look at her shop ! )
Ok so I have 2 main avatar characters, Welgan, and Edwin. I love this name, I would call myself that was I looking for a new name. And I love Crow Time, one of my favorite webcomics of all times (by artist secondlina) ! So at one point this little crow arrives in a strip, helps an elf and as a reward the elf promised to marry the crow, so he give the crow a magical human shapeshifting pendant. So enters Edwin, the crow shapeshifter fiancee to the elf Dumas, they're non-binary, I love what they look like, and they're so cute and they're having a sweetest love story and I can't wait to be able to purchase the whole series as a physical comics ! Edwin is gender goals.
I also want to make a cosplay of Edwin, really badly. That's my first cosplay goal, because it's not overly complicated. I have the right hair color for that and I think I would look very cool in their clothes.
-----
5- Francis Rawdon Moïra Crozier (the series character)
Captain of the Terror. Loves his men more than God love them. - From The Terror (AMC series)
Ok, so Crozier is not my blorbo from The Terror per se, but I think he's the most interesting (and I'll let @stupefox pick Fitzjames :p). He's got such an incredible evolution and characterization throughout the series, I was genuinely impressed and I hold him as an example of character depiction that's still making my heart ache my I think about it. The Terror (the AMC series) is an amazing experience from a narration and character development point of view, and I beg you to discover this masterpiece. Crozier is one of its more important characters and he's holding this role perfectly.
-----
7-Olruggio
From Witch Hat Atelier
I haven't read very far in Witch Hat Atelier so I am a bit wary of all the wonderful art I keep seeing there, because I'm afraid to spoil myself ! But I already love the this story and these characters. I resonated with Olruggio a lot from where I am ; I like his quiet devotion to their home and the theme of duty in his character, and even from the like third half (where I'm from) his relationship with Qifrey is so interesting.
Can't wait to be able to binge read the whole series and catch up with the art !
-------
8-Marva
April Fools "Dragon" (?) - From Flight Rising
Ok so I noticed there were only men & enbies on this list, so I tried to think especially of female characters and for very mysterious reasons, this was the first one to come mind. Why ??
(she's silly and I love her concept :p I'm glad I thought of someone from Flight Rising, I love this dragon browser game pet simulator to bits, I've been there for 9 years and I have nothing but praise for the dev team and their work)
-----
9-Sophie Hatter
Young old lady. The most terrifying witch to ever exist. - from Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle
I'm talking especially about movie Sophie. I love Hauru's concept and design, but he can be kinda obnoxious. Sophie is the best and I love her as a person <3.
-----
10-Flora (May for you english speaking people)
Pokemon trainer - from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
(this is the artwork for my figure !)
So. I've played a lot of Pokemon. I think the first game I decided to ditch the female character for the male one was a Pokemon game : in Black and White, if you picked the female character, your menu UI was all pink with hearts shapes, while if you picked the boy it was blue hexagons, and I was so mad about the pink hearts that I restarted my game to have a less egregious UI XD. Years after, I'm picking the male characters by preference if non-binary is not an option, even if for some of the later Pokemon games I've been picking the female one purely because they had more interesting clothing options lol. But when I played Saphire Alpha, I picked Brendan. However, I've always been very attached to May as my player character. Sapphire on GBA (well technically, a GBA cartridge on a Nintendo DS lite) was one of my first games and one I still like very much to this day, and I was May at that time. I currently have a figure of her on my desk, and I own a cute postcard with a fanart of her. I don't have that with Brendan. As hard as it is now to choose a female character in a game as it feels like signing up to be misgendered and a betrayal of my identity (I think this visceral reaction is calming down but it's taking its sweet time), May seems to get a pass.
-------
Some people that didn't fit the rule because I think of them as a bundle due to their relationship dynamics that make the pair of them a greater whole than the sum of the two of them :
Aziraphale & Crowley from the Good Omens series (I am not caught up on season 2&3 yet, but these two left me a lasting impression)
Wei Wuxian & Lan Wangji from Mo Dao Zu Shi / Grandmaster of demonic cultivation (I really debated about putting one of them on the list because they are STELLAR characters but I can separate them really ;w;)
-------
So here it is, I am done ! Thanks @oneeyedoctogod for tagging me, it was so interesting to see your picks and even some we never talked about
And please @stupefox and @greetingsprogramms, tell me about your blorbos from my fandoms-in-law :3

1-Favorite kitchen appliance would be myy good old reliable kettle I got at 18 as a gift. I do all my tea with it I'd be miserable if I had to boil that with a ... Uh. Forgot the word. Deep pan.
2-i believe I have a collection of art ! I put on my walls everywhere (and on shelves now that I've begun to acquire figures and artbooks too). I am surrounded with it. It's my home (: (one may say I also have a collection of books)
3- Best job is my current one, and only (real) one I ever had ! I work for a ttrpg publishing company, they take great care of me and I do a good, ethical and cultural job where I get to help creators get their art published.
4- I'd pick my worst job from student gigs then. I worked a couple summers in an apple factory but the worst one should be that few months I worked undeclared for a lady I didn't like very much. She made me write for her and help her on various chores but it didn't felt right to me. Can not remember why because retrospectively it doesn't seem that bad.
5- My favorite furniture would be my huge bed table (a TV furniture in reality) because it can hold so much stuff (books).
6-Quick meal for days I want comfort and/or easy food is pasta with grated Comté cheese.
7-Married? God no (if i find a queerplatonic partner I expect marriage to be a legally convenient thing and a hassle to explain to people who don't understand QPR)
8-Kids? Absolutely not
9-Good terms with parents ? Very much, I love them (:
10-Siblings ? I have 2 awesome brothers I love very much and we talk and/or hang out not frequently, but regularly
11-Yes I do vote, doing my civic duty 🫡 I'm not very knowledgeable but I go.
12-Biggest purchase..... Computer ? Maybe my trip to Florence with friends ? Or my anime figure buying spree of early 2026, even if it's technically several figures. Nothing like car or house or furniture so hard to say.
13- *takes a deep breath* I love reading SFF books especially cosy fantasy and romance and mystery and well yeah theres a lot, playing video games especially RPGs, drawing, making art in general, watching video essays on youtube or funny ones, playing tabletop rpg, looking at stars
14-I'd like to learn bookbinding, and sewing so I can do cosplay !
15-See 2
16-13 years and counting ( my oldest continuous friendship streak if you will XD ) ! That would be my friend Miak or @oneeyedoctogod even if I met most of the others during that same year in college.
17-Not currently, I have enough activities as it is !
18-No, I've never changed fields during education or work. I've been absolutely straight forward and kept to the original plan (almost) : study literature and get a book related job. It was supposed to be bringing money until I could live from my writing. I don't want to do that now but I have never stopped creating ! I just write and create with a different goal and I am glad money and my livelihood is not tied to it (:
19- I have no idea how many wisdom teeth I have but I've never had one removed so the maximum amount I guess XD
20-I'm a tea person! I could get rid of everything thing else (I'd be sad about peach sirup and hibiscus flavored water but I'd live) but tea would be heartbreaking
21-I currently have all 3 of the grandparents I was born with, luckily (the fourth died before I was born) ! Maybe not for very long but I'm very grateful I got to know them for so long.
22-No nieces or nephews yet ! My life is happily devoid of children lol (but I'm curious at how I will be with them once my brothers will have children)
23-The coolest place I've visited? gosh I don't know. One of my favorite places I've ever seen is the Gaube lake in south France, absolutely stunning mountain lake, but is it the coolest ? I'll pass this one XD i've seen many cool places but I can't deem one "the coolest"
24-My most recent degree is my master's degree in publishing and it's useful to me everyday as it's my literal job :p
25-What kind of madperson would chose owning a dishwasher over a washing machine ??? Washing clothes by hand is such a hassle oh my God I can't even begin to comprehend wanting a dishwasher over it. I currently do not own a dishwasher and I live it very well, I kinda like doing my dishes, but if I had to wash my clothes by hand I would be enraged.
26-Oh I most definitely write a grocery list before shopping. I shop online for my big purchases so it's not really a list at that time but I select the dishes I want to make beforehand and pick their ingredients on the website. When I go to the market or the small mall near me for a refill I bring a list if there's more than 3 items I need, I don't want to have made all the process to end up forgetting something XD
27-Favorite household chore shall be washing my bathroom sink and mirror. It's quick and easy (: special mention to changing the bedsheets, it's cumbersome but soooo satisfying afterwards. Love clean bedsheets.
28-Most hated chore should be deep cleaning once a year I think. It takes so loooong...
29-I own exactly one (1) houseplant (it was gifted to me), a green leaved bushy plant with tiny thorns from the asparagus family, and it's alive and well ! It lives on my aforementioned Billy shelves, because it had grown a lot since it was but a tiny lil bush and now can only fit here. It does a lovely hanging plant decor over my books. It requires very little maintenance so I can not but deemed a green-thumbed person, but it's the longest I've managed to keep a plant alive so I guess I'm doing correctly :p
30-My living arrangement is by myself (and happily so, to the point I dislike having guests lol) in an apartment next to the train station. I rent it. It's an old apartment, with somewhat sloppy builds a some places, but it's lovely to live in and I like it very much.
