conrad's fate doodles because yes!!!
Hard cut from Chris Chant, age 13, declaring that 'when he’s Chrestomanci, there’ll be plenty of children in the castle!' to Chris Chant, age 47, bright green, slightly singed, and full of regret
Quick doodle of my favourite character of all time forever and ever and ever (and his bff in bitchiness throgmorten) 💛
howl’s moving ballet :-)
howl’s moving castle is my own personal character design exercise
it never stops being funny that howl is just some guy from wales who played rugby, he is literally just some dude
literally the book xD
them.
IG || twitter || ko-fi
in which the reader thinks a lot about HOWELL JENKINS flying up the wing for his university
The fact that Howl actually plays Welsh rugby kills me. During the first part of the book I imagined him as a tall, skinny guy but then it was mentioned that he plays rugby. R u g b y.
Howl must be buff as hell wtf???? Or does he just. Get crushed?? by the others players most of the time??
he’s probably good at running away from things both figuratively and literally LOL
accurate howl's moving castle film adaptation but it's filmed like a mockumentary
howl [interview while he's messing with potions in his shed]: what do i think of sophie? well. she's my cleaning lady. she cleans a lot of stuff. she cleaned my bathroom the other day. i hate it when people touch my stuff. for example one time michael came in and tried to do a spell but he moved the sulphur so i accidentally used dried lemon zest instead and the entire shed blew up. i lost both my eyebrows and calcifer was sick for three days. i cried for weeks. magic is very touchy stuff, you know. a lot of people don't realize how careful you have to be. one time -
michael: if you ask howl any questions about sophie or how he feels about her he just slithers out of them. i ask him if he likes her cooking and he gives me more chores to do. i don't do them, obviously. that's sophie's job
In the movie:
Howl: You see... I’m a coward *bats eyelashes beautifully then ends up going to war to protect those he loves*
In the book:
Howl: lmao check out my nice guitar- uh? Facing the witch of the waste? H uhhhh... yeah sure lmao *goes to get drunk with his rugby buddies*
Movie Howl: *heart eyes*
Movie Sophie: *swoons*
Book Howl: biTch quit cleaning my house
Book Sophie: listen here you little shit
Mundane 80s world is still the best
Also Calcifer picking up songs from Howl is one of my favorite details :’D
Book Howl was a total trainwreck, but I love him so much
i can’t stop thinking about this
imagine: you’re enjoying dinner, listening to your friend wax poetic about florence vs. venetian art, on some kind of vague silver high due to your allergy to your cutlery, when suddenly you see in the windows your nephew’s past life where he drowned piteously mouthing and lurching against the glass and you know without a shadow of a doubt that it’s your niece’s doing because she’s pissy you didn’t punish her or yell at her for being a total bitch and ruining the lawn this morning
christopher, later: millie you must stop me from murdering my niece if it comes down to it
