not to drive post on main but also drive post on main, i am always thinking abt the pawn shop scene. driver is very insistent on his policies, and he has never been show to break them. you're not back in 5 minutes? too bad. don't know how to get yourself out of a bind the moment he gets out of that car? not his problem. he is a man with discipline and that discipline gets him very, very far.
but for standard he opens the door. pulls the seat back both so standard and blanche can get in quicker but also so that he can get a better view to make sure standard is ok. actually gets out of the car when he sees him fall down after getting shot and only drives off once he realizes that there is no saving him.
and that's what drives (har har) me up a fucking wall. driver loves the gabriel family SO much. regardless of how he feels about standard himself (and i do think that driver does like him, a lot, mind you), he just knows what his death is going to do to irene and benicio and it just breaks his fucking heart ("you just got a little boy's father killed" and all). benicio loves his dad. irene loves standard, even after all he's done, even though driver enters her life it's so obvious she loves them both. he only took this job for them. because it was supposed to get standard out. for good. it was supposed to keep them safe.
