This is a special photo for many reasons. It was sent to me by one of my favorite friends, a lovely, smart, wonderful young woman I’ve had the honor of knowing for about 12 years. I’m a sucker for a pretty #bookstagram but most of them are of books that look new. As you can see, this one—my first one—has been read and enjoyed numerous times. And last but not least, with her beautiful Ein henna on her hand, it shows that books bridge countries, religions, cultures, and customs. Books bring people together on a global level, and this particular book brought this amazing young woman into my life.
