These are my guardians Miis from my Tomodachi Life island! I love them so much I’ve been having so much fun🦝 Has anyone else made any? I’d love to see😄
Also I want to show you all this bc it makes me smile: I got this beautiful raccoon from a thrift store that was selling on Etsy— he’s from 1991 and his head, hands and shoes are ceramic :D he’s got no tail also! I named him Raccoon Gentleman and he’s my bestie
I also drew him as an object in my game for my miis to enjoy him as well hahaha
AND Another thing I forgot to show you all— I went to a convention last year and bought a custom rocket balloon animal from a balloon artist and I LOVE HIM! And he still sits proudly on my shelf despite deflating almost entirely LOL so this is what he looked like before and what he looks like now💀
So I had to draw him for my Miis too of course lmaooooo
And last but not least: my beloved emotional support Rocket plushie🫶 he had to be included in my game as well of course!!
Anywho sorry for the long post hehe I just felt like sharing my sillies
Have a good day yall!!!!
my assessment of Mario Galaxy movie Fox McCloud
Animals That Go Into Space
Hmmmm I don’t like how the star foxlings look, their faces r kind of awesome but it depends per characters really. Feel like the quirky animals on mechs style doesn’t work when the quirky animals look gritty… I dunno 🥹
CHOPPED CITY LOL… UR JOKING…
Fox Falco need more human like bodies but honestly I like their faces… ppl have mixed feelings abt it but generally it’s the least of my worries… and Slippy n Peppy give me mixed feelings because idk the cartoony dramatic look is difficult to balance with super detailed texture and the realistic traits. makes them look like a star wars species 🥹
i feel strongly that looking like a star wars species is kind of the intent given how much campy sci-fi influenced the OG games and i mean. Venom is 100% a reference to the whole Death Star sequence. especially with having to go through narrow tunnels n such. like i think even the idea to go more realistic in general is to evoke sci-fi films, and the game itself is way more cinematic focused with all the extra fully animated cutscenes. does that make sense?
Yes but there’s no world where stylized characters with strong expressive traits look better like this.
i wish they were more stylized and toonish 200% i wish they were cuterrrr Ive just been mulling over the Why they made these choices especially after fox's cameo in the mario movie. If the goal was to bring in a fresh audience then going with the design that some 9 year old just saw and is fresh in their mind would be what I'd except but they went in the whole opposite direction. Honestly one of the things that detracts from my theory is that (at least from what we were shown) the dialog has had a lot of the Cheese toned down which moves away from the original movie influence.
I definitely think as independent designs none of them are like particularly bad just a little silly BUT for a game that isn’t even a new installment and is a remake I feel these bold leaps are a little much … especially since a lot of the campy funky movements the characters make do depend on the appearance of their bodies so these anthro “fox on two legs” designs make them look like little woodland critters looking for scraps rather than a space team. Like I feel like this more serious approach could have been achieved while keeping the… IDK. THE CUNTYNESS!!!! And I feel like if they wanted to keep the retro feel they would have leaned into the 80s space team anime style that they introduced in the movie that frankly was cool asf (and could also be translated into 3d just as easily) instead of this Cinematic Masterpiece AAA game type thingy. I don’t even love the Mario Movie design for him but this is just so so so goofy they look like critters it brings me to tears. They don’t stand chest first they’re hunched forward like they’re foraging for berries.
i need data for a statistics project for school, so be my sample data, worms. i need thirty people minimum so if there aren't enough voters yet i'd love if you could help. thank you very much. worms.

James Gunn is seriously the GOAT. The guardians trilogy tells a story about childhood trauma, found family, and sticking up for those who can't defend themselves. It's about a raccoon learning that his caregiver was cruel and it's about building a community for the outcasts.
Guardians of the Galaxy was released at the perfect time for me. It was an escapist fantasy that pulled me away from some tough shit happening at the time. And yet, the movies grew with me. Guardians 2 addressed loss and grief, foreshadowing what I would experience when I lost my own father to COVID-19. Guardians 3 showed Rocket living through the exhausted sigh of someone who had carried so much grief and trauma through their life, resigned to the weight that lives in his chest.
In the end, we watch Rocket's new family literally go through an apocalypse to save his life, all the while his life flashes before his eyes. He confronts his past, grieves the regret and the loss, and he heals. His self actualization crystalized through a confrontation with death, his regrets, and the loved ones he never had the time and safety to grieve.
-
Watching Rocket grow as a standoffish little prick in Guardians 1 to an abject thorny asshole in Guardians 2 to, essentially, the leader of the pack and caregiver in Guardians 3 was honestly such a mood. It was so cathartic to watch. It showed me what it looks like to heal, to forgive yourself, to allow yourself to love again.
Sometimes, what we need isn't an objective list of instructions to "fix" ourselves. We just need to see an honest depiction that reflects what we're carrying, to see that it's okay, and to see someone like us heal.
So I went to an academic/industry conference recently and it was... Very poorly organized.
Registration was delayed because the organizers weren't there at the advertised time and the volunteers didn't know what to do.
AI materials. AI slideshows. Tacky.
Fuckin. There was a poster session, undergrads showing off their capstone projects that they worked on all semester. The fucking band they scheduled to play after the poster session started playing 15 minutes early. In the same room as the poster session. People were yelling over music.
They advertised a career fair and announced that it was canceled during the opening ceremony.
It was honestly disappointing and a bit offensive.
i can’t believe this is a real exchange they have in the game
Ayo what did Tyler mean by "your problem is your proctologist has his hands on your shoulders while you're bottomless"?
These models SUCK!!!!!!
tbh no matter how old wolf o'donnell is, he just seems like he'd always give off cranky old man vibes
like even as a baby. every photo his mom has of him is like those photos u see of scrunched, eternally mad, wrinkley babies that somehow look 80 yrs old LOL
like this
The fact that we are always within DEMA and escaping it. The fact that we are simultaneously the dictator and the subservient and the runaway and the banditos. The fact that we are desperate for both control and freedom. The fact that we are in a perpetual cycle between enlightenment and a fall from grace, between inner chaos and inner peace, between raw fear and intention.
I hope you understand this run on sentence.
I think Twenty One Pilots always captures such... Visceral emotional experiences. These shared experiences open me up to parts of myself that I never get to see, the parts that I've buried, the fears and the regrets and the sadness.
I love how, as I've grown, so has the message that Tyler conveys through his lyrics. The thesis of Twenty One Pilots has shifted from a singular expression of how one suffers to enlightenment, offering guidance. "I'm a goner" turned to "just try to be."
And yet, the evolution of the story respects the legacy of what came before. I think that's one of the greatest hurdles I faced in my healing journey. This isn't going to go away. There's no amount of drinking the poison that will make you better. Theory crafting can be a trap that allows the mind to bargain its way into perpetuating dysfunction and self destruction.
For the longest time, I hated myself. I couldn't stop hating myself until I honestly and truly didn't want to anymore. The shift from self loathing to self love was a shift of intention. It wasn't a belief that I was worthy of love, it wasn't an empty promise or something I said to myself but didn't mean, it was an active, conscious decision.
And it still is - like I said, this stuff doesn't really "go away." It's always going to take active consideration, conscious effort, and deliberate intention to take care of myself in the face of a hostile and unforgiving world.
But it lets you just... Be. Silence becomes less frightening. The insecurities don't hold as much credibility. Intentions will set you free; just try to be.
Not to be rhe ten millionth person to say “USAmerican President Donald Trump Is An Incoherent Public Speaker Whose Train Of Thought Can Be Best Described As Scat Jazz” but I just remembered that when he talks at international events it is several dozen people’s job to translate what he’s saying and what he intends to say to world leaders in real time
And I desperately wish to hear how they do it
If anyone reading this isn’t fluent enough in English to understand the sentences that man says, please know that he has essentially mixed a number of adjectives and topics together in a hat and is pulling them out at random like a horrible children’s game
Like that waxy jaundiced bitch will straight up be like “J'étais sur internet l'autre jour – internet, la plus grande invention américaine. Et la Chine a “internet aussi. Pas un bon internet, pas comme le mien, j'ai un internet formidable. Les gens me disent : « Donald, ton internet est génial ! » On adore l'internet de Donald. Mais la Chine… Chine, Chine, Chine… And people will lose their minds
International translators have had this problem for A While - if they *don't* clean up what he says to sound coherent, they look like they're doing a bad job.
Explore Trump translation challenges, tips for interpreters, and 2025 strategies for accurate political translation and Trumpslation success
oh my god
So I don't want to draw the comparison between Trump and Hitler because I think that's a gross oversimplification, but I'm curious about whether interpretation and translation back before WWII also smoothed out Hitler's rhetoric.
The article discussed ethics and cultural sensitivity a lot, which I largely agree with, but I think that introduced another ethical dilemma. If Trump's hyperbolic, authoritarian, sexual, and other inappropriate language is "smoothed" or otherwise sanitized, is it still an accurate representation of Trump's rhetoric? I'm curious whether this phenomenon partially sanitizes his image.
From what I've seen around the Internet regarding how international populations see him, I don't think this is the case, but I still wonder if it introduces more opportunity to give him the benefit of the doubt, especially if you're a foreign dignitary of some kind and you deal with delicate international politics.
