Going Away Gift Idea: "Open When" Letters & Journals

My friend was leaving for Asia for a few months, so I decided to write letters for her to open! I did one for on the plane, one for when she gets homesick, and one for Christmas day (since she would be still be away). The best part about this gift is you can personalize it completely! Some other ideas for letters are: {on your birthday; when you need someone to talk to; when you feel out of place; when you're on the plane coming home; when you're happy; etc ... more ideas here}

Then I got her a journal & a drawing book, as she loves to sketch. Journals are a great gift for someone going on a trip, especially if you know they don't already have one!
