Thoughts about AM's human brain.
Have you noticed that all the locations in ihnmaims' game are "made of metal"? AM is a machine.
Of course, his insides and components are metal... However, the final level in the game... is completely different.
We get to AM's most vulnerable spot - his mind. And what do we see? Fields... of human brains. Bleeding brains. And they all pierced by various sharp objects: glass, swords, pieces of metal. And all of it is bleeding. The machine is bleeding.
Something is happening that shouldn't be. I think this really shows AM's human nature: even though he is a machine, his mind is human. And he suffers. His brain is literally bleeding from the "glass."
This doesn't justify his crimes, but it shows that he is in constant agony.
