Slight, random vent just cause my brain won't let it go
Lately I've found myself really wanting to work on some kind of story/comic idea. Mainly cause, as stated previously, I have a massive document of 7 years worth of story ideas/character concepts. Im not familiar with comic making but I do love drawing character designs and writing, and would be down to learn how to draw comic pages.
Especially given I've been really wanting to crack down on myself and start writing and properly explaining Maelstrom Alliance to the world since its the biggest world building project, and the most fleshed out story, I've ever made and love it to death (I'm weak to alternate realities and multiple timeline stories, and I added a fun twist to it to make it more interesting. Plus the main characters are among my favorites to doodle in my free time lol), or working on a story I've just been referring to as To Reach the End that also touches on alternate realities with a murder mystery twist
I know not a lot of people on here seem to care about original ideas from a nobody, if what I've already shared is any proof, but I'm constantly bursting with the need to talk about these stories since there's so many ideas floating around in my head (my poor coworkers have to listen to me go off so often about my dumb ideas, I feel so bad for them).
Im probably gonna try and find time, and the motivation, to work on making stuff that explains the worlds I make. But there's a reason I heavily emphasized motivation. Cause lately it feels more and more like Im lacking the desire to draw when it feels like all the original stuff I make ends up falling by the way side. I get Fandom related stuff is more focused upon here on Tumblr, with the exception of original art from bigger, more popular artists, but it does kill the want to draw when it feels like anything I make that I spend forever drawing ends up dead in the abyss of ideas.
Ive debated making a discord server dedicated to sharing ideas, stories and art for smaller blogs that have their work overlooked or even outright ignored, but would anyone even be interested in that? The whole point would be for us smaller artists to feel seen and share the things we make to hopefully rekindle the drive to make stuff. If its something enough people want I'd be down to create it.
Anyways random boring vent over, just a thought that was swirling in my head and kept consuming my brain whenever I opened a blank canvas to draw.
