i find it so so wild when jewish influencers talk about how reform jews aren't really jewish, especially reform converts, cause like it's always from some form of orthodox influencer getting everything about reform judaism wrong
like a blogger who i do like was kind of dodging the question, it seems to be a hot topic on jewish insta lately, and not policing her comments (which like yea diva not ur job) and the main point i see is that reforms don't actually convert??? and it's just people who "feel jewish"???
besties, i had to confirm i wanted to convert three times, i took classes at my jcc taught by rabbis from all the local synagogues (not just the reform ones!) i had a beit din, i had a mikvah (fully nude at a mikvah! no weird speedo in the lake loophole shit). i lived a jewish life, actively involved in temple affairs for a year, and studied for multiple years prior. how is that not a real jewish conversion???
